The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scotland

Very tasty food! We went here as a family with my parents and toddler for 6pm and everyone enjoyed it. We had a lovely man serving who was very friendly and also helpful as I had allergy requests. We had a selection of starters to share (olives, brucetta and a dish with roast vegetables and mozzarella), all lovely and fresh with good quality bread for the brucetta. My main was linguine with prawns, courgettes and plum tomatoes which was also delicious. The pasta was a nice al dente and the sauce wasn't overly fussy, just very good flavours cooked well. This is what we look for from a good Italian restaurant. We were visiting and had also been 2 years ago for a meal before my sister's wedding and it was great then. I was really happy to return and find that the flavours and food were still really good

Super schattig klein restaurant. Super vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. Ja het is klein en ja de tafels staan dicht bij elkaar maar dat mag de pret niet drukken, dit geeft eigenlijk veel sfeer. Het eten is voortreffelijk, een pasta en pizza bestelt met als dessert een overheerlijke tiramisu

We found this gem in Melrose during a family fishing trip. The food was exceptional, the service was very good and the ambiance was perfect. Definitely recommend

Laid back Italian, quite enjoyable. Good menu and quality of food decent. One thing though - they serve flatbread as an appetiser but no chilli, truffle oil or any oil in fact to accompany the bread.

Waited ages for starters. When they came the portion size of the Arancini was minuscule. The main course was even longer , then they brought one of my son’s dish but not the other two we ordered. Then they took this away because it was too long a wait. The excuse was that the Chicken milanese wasn’t cooked properly. They left the garlic bread , so it was cold when we started eating. My son had the beef ragu tagliatelle tasted practically the same as my pasta in the Milanese. Sorry , I won’t be back.

Had a meal in here the other night with my fiance and we both loved it very much and the customer service is over the moon keep up the hard work 💪🏼

Visited for lunch met by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our pre booked table had read a few reviews that were not too complimentary so was unsure what we would find no need great service and food was lovely the four of us shared a platter for a starter and it was more than enough main meals were all enjoyed too full for desserts finished with coffees will.certainly return

This is a lovely restaurant nice staff but food is a big let down would not return came home and ordered a pizza

Food is nice but never get a delivery. You'll be waiting 5 working days and constantly told it's on its way.

Food and service was excellent as usual. Definitely the best authentic Italian food by miles. Veal was cooked to perfection and service was very friendly. All this at reasonable prices. What more could you want. Definitely would recommend this establishment.

The cakes looked amazing and having read previous reviews bought 4 as was having guests , sorry but not real cream some sort of flavourless foam. The taste was awful. Parts were sickly sweet while others tasted like shaving foam or soap. Nobody ate them and ended in bin at2.50 each expensive mistake. And the 1 point is for presentation and service pity the food didn't match

When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant. A few minutes after we arrived someone the waitress knew arrived and got priority. I did not mind them being served before us but I did object to waiting 15 minutes for my change while the waitress had a conversation with the people she knew. I told her that was not acceptable and she said sorry I got involved in a conversation, when I said that is fine but you could have given me my change first, her response was I am on my own, my response was you had ;2 couples and you favoured the other one. I have eaten there on many occasions and never experienced such poor service so maybe there is a training issue here.
