Food and service was excellent as usual. Definitely the best authentic Italian food by miles. Veal was cooked to perfection and service was very friendly. All this at reasonable prices. What more could you want. Definitely would recommend this establishment.

Tried this place for the 2nd time and won’t be trying again. Eggplant parmigiana burnt & chewy. Penne arrabiatta with prawns cold. Spaghetti carbonara in what looked like dishwater, and wasn’t tasty at all. Cheese & ham pizza was fine. Such a shame as it doesn’t take much to rectify these issues. By the time the waitress came to check on us, it was too late. Was given a bill of £108, and when I reminded her of our issues, she just apologised!!! Terrible terrible service😡

This was my third visit and has definitely improved on previous visits. Service was good and my main criticisms are :- 1) music was just a bit more than background level which results in people speaking louder making it difficult to hear what people at your own table are saying. Just tone it down a little bit and that will make a difference. 2) please provide ground pepper and grated Parmesan when the meal is served- we didn’t get it but then noticed it being provided by another server at another table. 3) please provide a spoon with spaghetti/tagliatelle type dishes -again to save us having to ask for one. These may seem trivial matters but believe me, having been in various Italian restaurants over a long time, little things mean a lot. They do make a difference - attention to detail - it’s all in the training.

Visited Nonno Nando for dinner on 1 Mar 23. Lovely restaurant and pleasing Italian background music added to the ambience. Food was excellent and the service faultless. Friendly and efficient.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. My new wife and I had our wedding meal in this lovely restaurant. Laura (forgive spelling if incorrect) and her wonderful staff, made the day. Set out beautifully, with excellent attention to detail, my new wife was over the moon on the day, and I must admit I was amazed at how lovely it all looked. Guests settled, the food arrived in a timely manner, again attention to detail wonderful. The mains were presented in what could only explained as 5* arrangement and tasted as good as it looked, it must have taken an age to create the little carvings. By that point, everyone was praising our favourite restaurant. On to the desert, which as usual, did not disappoint. We cannot praise the staff enough for making our special day, extra special. Suffice to say we have and will continue to go back for more. Many thanks to all the staff, we both appreciated your wonderful service on our day.

Delicious and authentic Italian meal, with a pleasant selection of wines available. Though we opted for the house red and white, these didn't disappoint. Overall the service was fine, however, the only reason the score is not 5 stars, is that we did have to send one of the mains back as it wasn't hot enough, but other than that can safely say we will visit again!

Delicious meal and wine with excellent service even though the restaurant was busy. I ordered Calamari to start with Seabass for the main course followed by Affogato. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Really great to have a new family ran restaurant in Forfar with authentic Italian cuisine! I called ahead to see if they had a table free for us, they said they'd stay open for us which was greatly appreciated. We ordered some soft drinks, 2 pasta dishes with a side of garlic bread & chips - you could just tell the pasta was hand made and fresh, very delightful and flavorsome! Good portion size for mains which was great. Friendly service with a smile, very approachable and appreciated them checking in to see how the meal was etc. Would very much recommend & will be back - thank you very much!

Excellent Italian food and service with an authentic style and just great food. My son and I found ourselves in Forfar and had to try the place that we knew had been cussing a stir in town since opening; we were not disappointed. We started with the meatballs, which we shared. Cooked to perfection, with a light, almost crispy, “bark” surrounding moist meaty flavour and in a sauce that we had to fight over to get our fair share ! One each next time… On to mains. I had the veal escalope, which was exceptional along with roast Italian tatties, that were the perfect accompaniment for melding Scottish and Italian on the plate. My co-eater had the Italian sausage tagliatelle; which he devoured with the gusto of a seasoned Italian food lover. No space for dessert, but we shall be back for the amazing looking mini-cannolis and a coffee… Compliments to the Chef and all of the staff for a tasty, chilled meal.

We go to quite a few Italian restaurants, some of them with Italian friends who know good food, but this place topped them all. Not only was the food lovely, they were so child friendly with our two year old daughter. We were in on a quieter Tuesday night and the waitress went above and beyond to give us a nice night. Not only crayons and some paper for toddler to draw on, but our daughter wanted to walk round after eating and the lovely lady offered to take her for a couple of minutes so we could finish up in peace. Honestly brought a wee tear to my eye, it was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Great food, excellent service and a great example of people who genuinely enjoy their job and want to show it.

Just visited this restaurant and I have to say, that this is the best Italian food that I've had outside Italy. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere good. The food was authentic and excellent. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely fabulous food and service with a varied and exciting menu for lunch. We shall be back for dinner later in the week to take advantage of desserts

Food was lovely, great authentic Italian food.Great customer service, would highly recommend. Plenty of options to choose from. Restaurant was nice and tables were spaced out well to make it feel more private and comfortable. Will definitely be back.
