The cakes looked amazing and having read previous reviews bought 4 as was having guests , sorry but not real cream some sort of flavourless foam. The taste was awful. Parts were sickly sweet while others tasted like shaving foam or soap. Nobody ate them and ended in bin at2.50 each expensive mistake. And the 1 point is for presentation and service pity the food didn't match

We had our first try of the take away menu. We had the fish and chips and the burger. The portion size is more than enough and the quality of the food was first class. Would definitely recommend.

We have recently been up to Newburgh from down South (hence my accent lol) visiting our lovely family. Family told us about this lovely new addition to the High Street so we were looking forward to giving it a try and we were not disappointed! Lovely hosts and the young lady who takes your order always has a smile on her face. All in all we had three visits and loved all of our food. Husband had the Cullen Skink (after reading the reviews on here) and absolutely loved it, the soup of the day was also really good a nice big bowl served with a fresh roll. Can’t recommend enough a visit to this fab wee cosy and friendly run cafe if your in or passing through Newburgh.

My husband and I keep meaning to pop in when we pass and we’re really glad we finally did today for a quick lunch. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the cafe and toilets are impeccably clean, there is a great variety of food which is very reasonably priced and served in very generous portions. It was a lovely touch to be brought a box with a variety of teas to choose from too. I was quite stuffed after the delicious homemade soup and perfectly cooked toastie so didn’t have space for a dessert but my husband had a lovely cheesecake that he thoroughly enjoyed. All of the cakes are freshly prepared in house too which is fantastic. We will definitely be back, thank you for a lovely lunch and all the best for 2020, we hope to see cafe Alice thriving.

Friendly welcome and great food. The scones are homemade and delicious. Coffee excellent. Spotlessly clean. Absolutely great value for money. Baking/cooking/coffee way above this price mark in our opinion We are not related to the owners so no axe to grind for or against, but this is a MUST visit if you are in the area

We are regular customers to the Cafe. As well as the usual panini, baked potatoes and sandwiches, they also have Cullen Skink, Caesar Salad and Pulled Pork Burger on the regular menu. However, they have a daily special on each day, with Fish or Scampi on a Friday. The portions are generous and good value. The cakes and cheesecakes are amazing. The couple who run the cafe are friendly and extremely hard working. If you’re passing through Newburgh, be sure to stop here.

We pop in to Alice's every week but never remember to leave a review. Just had the most amazing roast chicken dinner with roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, skirlie and cauliflower cheese. Delicious. Huge portions. Excellent value for money. Ewalina and Pawel are very welcoming to everyone who comes in: no matter if it is a cup of coffee or a large meal. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

dropped in for coffee & scone after a long walk with friend. Lovely smell from kitchen made us both decide to have the Cullen Skink - lovely. Following week, same but had a bake treat as well. Pear tart - delicious with grilled pear on top. Lovely couple who run it and have named cafe after their little daughter. Nothing too much trouble. Look around other diners choices left a good impression and more ideas for another visit. Many other cafes and farm shops around Bridge of Earn, Abernethy area seem to have closed. Hope this stays. Good find.

If you manage to sit right next to your family member at the table, you may be able to hear them speak over the loud Italian-ish music. A quick look at the menu and you are starting to wonder if your favorite Italian (or rather Italian American) dish will live up to its promises. Spoiler: it will not. Do not order anything but pasta and pizza. This is not an Italian restaurant, it's a pizza - pasta place. Stay away from the veal, for it is all but veal... You'd think a 70 pounds bottle of wine would be on par with the quality of the food, it's not, or rather, it is. Usually you cannot go wrong with a Dolcetto, here, I did. If I told my friend GianCarlo that he makes better Dolcetto for 5 euros a bottle, but you can sell passable stuff for 70 pounds in Scotland, he would drive from Langhe in his FIat Panda and wear a kilt happily. Bottom line: head ache, heart ache, stomach ache and your wallet will hurt too.

Tasty sandwiches, pizzas and calzones - the ingredients taste fresh and the basil pesto is lovely. Cannoli are also good and worth a try here. Only downside is that they are takeaway only since the shop is small.
