Awsome restaurant I go here every time I am in the area as I think the food is superb, I would go as far as to say I had the best steak I have ever had in my life here absolutely stunning, also a very friendly environment and welcoming.

Tried calling Sat 18th May 2024 and no answer took the chance to call in unannounced place was closed.

I haven't sat in, howerver, we collect food this evening the staff were really welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious too! We look forward to next time.

So disappointed with this. Went in Oct and forgot to review then saw a 5 star review and felt compelled to add some balance Used to be lovely. Cheaper and cheerful but good. This time was awful. Booked a few days before as everywhere else was busy... that should have been a red flag. Sat at the back / top. Very dark and a bit shabby - looks like it needs a good clean. Service was slow but friendly. Ordered tempura chicken to start. Awful. Caked in thick greasy batter rather than being light and delicate. Loads of chicken but wasn't sure it was cooked. During our meal there was a power cut too which was amusing but worrying in terms of how the food would turn out Played it safe with pizza or so I thought Thick dough and way too much cheese (and I love cheese). When we came to leave we just couldn't get the bill. Eventually we pushed it and paid but the place was chaotic and not even that busy. Staff apologised and said someone had not turned up - but that didn't explain the cleanliness or the greasy food. Won't make the same mistake again.

Nothing short of spectacular, Mr Hugo the waiter was very attentive.

Ok but nothing special, really out dated restaurant and very slow service considering there was only one other table being used in there. Ordered our drinks and asked for a Corona to be told we don't have any but I can do you a Rekordlig ... What not even close mate so I just had water. Then I asked for the Chicken fungi which came with a mash and said there was none of that either. I then went for roast potatoes and my colleague went for chips and neither were particularly good. They gave us a complimentary garlic pizza which was so greasy and didn't taste fresh, more like a frozen base. I asked for french style garlic bread with cheese and asked them to put chillis on it too, it came with something on it but it definitely wasn't chillis or if so the weakest chillis I've ever had. The chicken and mushrooms were actually nice so points for that but the rest wasn't good !

We were shown to a seat at the back of the restaurant and eventually all 4 of us got the same tatty menus. Apparently they are waiting on new ones being delivered. Drinks were ordered and received in a relatively short time. I wanted scallops to start. They had none. I reordered prawns. I chose veal for a main course. They had none. They haven't had veal on the menu for months yet I read two different veal dishes on the menu. I opted for sea bass. They had none. Nor did they have smoked haddock or lobster. I then chose chicken. Big mistake. My friend ordered gnocchi. After we had all eaten our starters the waiter returned to inform my friend that they had run out of gnocchi. Poor service. Poor food. Will we return? Absolutely not.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming when ordering our food and drinks. The food was beautiful, really fresh and warm. Lovely atmosphere in this restaurant ill definitely go again and recommend to my friends and family

Sadly not a good experience for us, sat at back of restaurant in a dark out dated decor place, using our phone torches to read the menu. One of our party were gluten free and we were told no bread was available as TESCO had a fire alarm and they couldn't get in ! Then one of our friends wanted just to have haddock again this was not available due to TESCO's fire alarm. That was it we just finished our drinks paid and left ! Sadly you should have just said this was out of stock not tell us you shop fir it in Tesco. Sadly disappointed as this was my first visit and I will not be returning.

This was our 4th visit to Gratzi in as many weeks for sit-in dining. The food, service and wine are all excellent. Their menu perhaps requires updating as some of the selection was no longer available, but what was on offer was absolutely outstanding. We have tried dishes from both their Italian and Spanish Tapas menus - all exquisite. Looking forward to our next visit soon.

Popped in here too early as wasn't quite open for lunch, asked for a table and arranged a time - came back and had the most delicious steak! Fantastic food and friendly service, we have been before and will definitely be back again ❤️ we were also gifted wonderful garlic bread while we waited on our meal, and our drinks were generous measures 😉

Only o e word can explain the amazing experience and food here. The food was out of this world, the "Inferno" Pizza was amazing and the starter Chicken Crepe was out of this world. We were provided with complementary wine after our meal and I must say the front of house waiter was so friendly and polite.

Waited nearly 2 hours for food which wasn't worth the wait!!! Pizza was.cold & unedible. Will not be using again

Book a table for 7pm on 29 Apr for an 18th birthday. Arrived to find place closed. No phone call and no notice on door. Under current ownership, an absolute disgrace. You cannot trust or rely on this restaurant. Used to be good. Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere.

Couldn't fault this place. The exterior really doesn't reflect the inside. The service was great ! Food came at just the right times. It was fantastic, hot and tasty. Portion sizes were really good. With complementary pizza bread to start and complentary Lemoncello and choc mints to finish. What more can I say, except, we'll be back !

A hidden gem , I can't believe how good this great restaurant is .Service excellent. Food even better. Price brilliant and the decor of the restaurant is very good too. Me and the family have eaten in most if not all Italian restaurants in Dunfermline and I my honest opinion this is by far the best .We will without doubt return. Tanks for wonderful food .

Ordered food for delivery at 7.45pm and it didn’t arrive till gone 9.30pm absolutely garbage service

A very rare evening out with our daughter. Table booked and arrived for 19:15. Very little sign of our waitress during our visit. We did not get asked for a drinks order for 20 minutes. Another 15 - 20 minute wait for our drinks. At this time we were finally asked for our food order. Only once we tried to order were we told there was no lobster and no Veal - they have apparently not served veal for a long time! Another very long wait for our starter and no sign of our waitress. We had to go down stairs to order more drinks and then wait for our waitress to come up and take out order! Our starters where not great - scallops and black pudding and battered prawns. The scallops were ok at best. We did not receive our main until 20.55! And no offer of a drink in between times. Our mains were mostly inedible. Scallops were chewy and tasteless, prawns were overcooked and tasteless and the chicken and fish were overcooked and again tasteless! The risotto and linguine, were however very good. We are especially disappointed in the very slow/poor service and terrible food,as we have celebrated some very special times In this restaurant over the last 4 years.

Saturday night and restaurant had run out of house white and pink wine saying it had been busy on Friday night.

Well what can I say apart from don’t order we ordered at 18.30 phoned 3 times as it was 20-45 and still no food got told twice it was with the driver it’s now 21-35 and still no food restaurant closes in 25 mins very disappointed as I’ve wanted to try this place along time won’t be attempting again would be a 0 if had the option

Grudging service the owner or head waiter was dressed like he was going to the football. Waiting staff equally poorly dressed no identity as restaurant folk.

23 of us were booked in for our works night out. We pre ordered our meals which made it easier for the servers. Every one of us were well impressed with the food and the size of the portions. There was such a variety of meals from chicken, risotto,fillet steak, lobster, lasagne and many more and each meal was beautifully presented, fresh, and huge portions. Even the starters were huge. We had the restuarant to ourselves and had a lovely night. Would definitely recommend this place and hopefully will go back sometime with my husband

Visited on a Saturday evening. Open kitchen, always a plus point. Friendly staff but not intrusive. We ordered starters and main courses. Everything top quality, risotto served with 2 seabass fillets and huge prawns. A really enjoyable evening, highly recommended.

Terrible. Ordered at half 5. website updated to being delivered, phones at half 6 told it was just going out the door. Phoned back at half 7, told it went out 5 or 10 minutes ago. Phone back at 8, told to just get my money back. But they didn’t know how. They couldn’t contact their delivery driver (I’m the only delivery at any point tonight? ) offered free next time and can keep the food this time (it’s never going to arrive) heard good things about the food, but terrible.

I ordered a takeaway on just eat and the confirmed it and took the payment out my bank account then called me 30 minutes later to tell me they didn’t have a driver ? And they where available on just eat, now I need to wait 3 to 5 working days for my money to be refunded, now I can’t eat at all today cause that was the last of my money, terrible service and they had 3 quarters of there menu unavailable on there just eat menu, please stay away from there and don’t get let down like I have.

A unplanned visit for my birthday turned out to be a fantastic night. Complementary starters before the starters and complementary limoncello are superb. To add to it all birthday cake came out with a song😂 Thanks Gratzi for a Great night 👍

We attended as a group of 10 for a 21st birthday and the wait staff were great. Despite the large order, all the food was brought out in good time with no mistakes. The food was excellent, especially the patatas bravas.

Great evening, table for 10 people aged from 12 to 73 for a family birthday. Service was outstanding, they could not have been nicer and soooo accommodating. Food was delicious and leftovers were taken home. Well done chef everyone enjoyed it and It was quite a complicated order! Birthday boy was given a wee liqueur (or 2) for his 21st on the house and we were also given courtesy garlic breads one with chilli because when ordering we were talking about chilli, this was such a personal touch. Highly recommend and will be back particularly for dessert because we were too full but they sounded amazing!

We visited Gratzi last night to celebrate our son's birthday. He'd specifically requested tapas so I was delighted when I saw the online menu listed a large selection. Between us we shared 12 different tapas dishes and then ordered a few repeats. Absolutely delicious! The man who was serving, surprised us all when he presented my son with a slice of tiramisu with couple of candles in it. What a gentleman. A lovely evening and somewhere we are sure to be revisiting again soon.

Had lunch yesterday with friends. From the moment we arrived we were well taken care of by Kelly, our waitress. She was so friendly and helpful and made some very good recommendations about the menu. Food was fabulous. Would definitely go back

Was at Grazi today for lunch with some friends. What a great experience as had never been before. Food was absolutely to die for and we were made to feel really special by Kelly our waitress who was just the best and so friendly. Would definitely go back again for lunch on Friday.

We were a party of 13 celebrating a birthday party, there is parking across the road from the restaurant and free after 6pm. On arriving the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Extensive menu and everyone found something to eat, all courses were delivered quickly and looked and tasted amazing and reasonably priced. The starters are on the large side, just need to be aware. Several of the party had pizza and were offered boxes to take what they had left home. Never at any point in the evening did we feel rushed and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the attentive staff certainly added to the experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for an Italian and will certainly be back a view shared by all in the party.

This is a wee gem of a restaurant.. Kelly our server was so friendly and attentive .. thanks also to Hugo who was also very friendly and chatty. The menu is Italian/Spanish themed and has a good variety of dishes. We opted for Carbonara and Chicken with polenta and vegetables. Both dishes were hot and used fresh ingredients which is so very refreshing from the frozen produce which is served in some restaurants. Well seasoned and very creamy Carbonara. The Chicken was moist and tender with well seasoned polenta. We had a lovely bottle of organic Italian white wine. We finished our meal with the most amazing homemade tiramisu i have tasted!!! Wow!!! This is a fantastic place to eat and kudos to a chef that can cook his own dishes rather than re-heating frozen products.. My only request would be to possibly play spanish or Italian music whilst dining.. but this certainly didn't affect our experience.. definitely be back 😉😉

My daughter, grandson and I went to Gratzi last Tuesday evening to celebrate her birthday. The service was superb, and matched by the food, which we all found delicious. We mentioned in passing that it was my daughter’s birthday, and after the dishes from our main course had been cleared, our lovely waiter appeared with a large slice of gateau for her, complete with candles, and sang Happy Birthday! When our desserts were finished we paid the bill and then phoned for a taxi, only to find that there would be a thirty minute wait. I therefore went to the bar to get another drink for us all, but payment was politely refused and I was told the drinks were on the house! All in all a wonderful evening, and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

As always lovely food never dissappointed here. Hugo and Mackenzie are worth a special mention. The sevice was a bit slow butvthisxwas due to 2 large parties and only 3 staff serving. The owner should repair the leaking tap in the ladies it had been like that for months

My partner and I came for Sunday dinner! From the moment we arrived till we left the service was so welcoming. The food was delicious we had to even ask could we take some home as there was loads on the plates even for tapas!...

We visited Gratzi for a pre-theatre dinner and opted for some tapas dishes. Everything was well presented and tasted great. Very generous portion sizes too. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back!

Pleade Don't use takeaway on justeat.. we waited nearly 2 hours for delivery and food was cold and ruined. Over £30 spent. I'm sure restaurant is good. But I live 2 miles away so no excuse for poor service. Didn't even contact me to advise.i had to chase up delivery.

A nice quiet Italian restaurant that does the more obvious Italian food. Good kitchen and very friendly staff. Try their pasta, well worth it and the sorbet to is so good.

On a rare visit home to Dunfermline with Chinese wife and in-laws, ducked in here hoping Italian style food would appeal to their palates. The host was a gentleman, very friendly and offered us prompt and kind service with a smile and put my foreign guests at ease. Food was fantastic, classic Italian pastas and chicken dishes. Irn Bru on tap was the clincher for me.. joking aside really enjoyed lunch here will be back on my next visit home.

We went along without a reservation but were made very welcome. The food was delicious. We had a lovely selection of tapas then being greedy managed to have deserts too. They were also very good. It was all extremely good value.

We decided to eat out in Dunfermline last minute and had not booked anywhere, but decided to try Gratzi. It was around 9pm on a Friday night and we were looking forward to a feast. We decided to eat from the tapas menu and ordered about 9 dishes between the two of us. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. They have a large menu of dishes to choose from, so something for everybody! We have eaten here before on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere relaxing. This is one of our favourite restaurants in town. Look forward to our next visit. Thanks again.

I have been to Gratzi a number of times, it never ceases to amaze me how consistently good it is, the steak, s are superb, service is fantastic and very good value for money.

We booked a table here to celebrate my birthday and were not disappointed. A good menu and we decided to have tapas. Very nice selection which we enjoyed. The staff were lovely and attentive, we were served at a nice pace which meant we're were neither rushed nor frustrated.

While we were staying in Dunfermline we spotted this restaurant when driving through. We saw how good the reviews were so decided to give it a try.

Took my girlfriend there last night for our anniversary, food was excellent in taste, value and presentation. Service was very friendly and food was brought to us in good time. We will be back!

This is not just another Italian restaurant which is easy to come upon, being on a main thoroughfare. The food is seriously good, and if anything underpriced. With other food outlets on either side, it is easy to just walk by, but it is worth studying the menu, if planning to eat, and you will be assured of a genuinely warm welcome, not just a token directing to a table.

My friend and I went on Wednesday for steak night and had a lovely steak each and upgraded to anti-pasti for starters and full bottle of wine for less than £40! The waiter who served us was lovely and friendly too. Would go back.

Have been a few times, originally went to try the tapas which was excellent (and there is a deal on Tuesdays.) But more recently ate from the main menu. Had Linguine Carbonara which is the best I have tasted.... It was about £15 for starter/main/drink.

Visited Gratzis again after a significant break from this establishment. On a previous visit, I gave constructive criticisim, particularly on the food preparation.

Having read the reviews, we were excited to try some authentic Italian food close to our home town. It's only fair to say we had his returned from a trip to Sorrento and surrounding area.

Went here for dinner tonight and enjoyed the very best Italian meal any of us have eaten. Huge menu including tapas. Jenna (I think that was her name) who served us was delightful and helpful, and a credit to the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I had tickets for a show at the Alhambra Theatre and not knowing Dunfermline, we looked on TripAdvisor for an Italian biased restaurant, found a few but opted for Gratzi and were so pleased that we did. We looked at the menu in advance and noted that it was extensive and saw that the prices were very reasonable and actually wondered if it was maybe a wee bit down-market. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived. The dining rooms are very pleasantly furnished to a nice standard with an open view into the kitchen. The staff were very attentive and the food was served in reasonable time, we both had a starter and a pasta dish for main and have to confess that my house spaghetti was one of the best I have ever tasted - my wife said likewise of her main dish.

Been a while since our last visit but decided to make an impromptu visit one evening as we were child free. Went for a selection of tapas, most of our favourite dishes were available so we chose meatballs, prawns, calamari, potatas bravas etc.
