Great meal here recently with lovely wine. Service is always excellent and there's a huge vegetarian/vegan menu too.

Great meal, both of us very impressed with both the food and the service. Absolutely nothing to fault, Panzeroti, calamari, prawns, fish excellent, we will definitely be returning.

This was my husband, son, and my first time eating here, and what an absolutely amazing experience it was. The food menu is brilliant, as is the drinks menu. There are so many delicious options to choose from. I am vegetarian, and there was a whole vegan menu to choose from, plus so many vegetarian options. I chose the gnocchi sorentina and it was blooming fantastic! Honestly, I wish I was eating it for dinner tonight. Every staff member we spoke with was extremely helpful and made our visit fantastic. So welcoming, and all had big smiles. Will 100% be back!

Found this great Italian whilst searching for somewhere suitably coeliac friendly for lunch when visiting friends in Dunfermline for the day. The website assured us they offered gluten free pasta and pizza bases and we weren’t disappointed. Very nice and helpful staff and delicious food all of which went down very well. The gluten free we had was very good and they did not rush us. Puddings went down well although you’re limited to ice cream and one other if you’re GF, but my daughter’s ice cream sundae was huge and delicious! Would just suggest offering a gluten free garlic bread. A lot of Italian places use the gluten free pizza bases with garlic butter. Always goes down well with us.

Originally intended to have a full meal however this didn't go to plan. Service was a bit slow to start with but it was fairly busy and the waiting staff were polite and apologised for the initial delay so we were okay with this. Starters came out fine and we enjoyed the food however around 45 minutes passed and no one had been near us so we had to ask about our mains which were not ready yet. Unfortunately we had plans so needed to leave before we got the mains so paid up for what we had. Overall, we were in the restaurant for well over an hour and a half so really disappointed. The waitress was clearly embarrassed however we made it clear to her there was nothing wrong with her service but clearly an issue in the kitchen. It would have been great if this was communicated to us however it seemed they were prioritising food for delivery as we saw loads coming out the kitchen to get delivered while service all around us was clearly very slow. It might have been appropriate to pause online orders so they could catch up with serving people in the restaurant however there didn't seem to be anyone managing things. It's somewhere we'd hoped to visit again however I don't think I'd want to risk it.

Lovely food and service. I had a problem in my flat with no power, I needed to charge my phone a little. They were super nice to me and helped me in my situation. Very good attention from the staff. In other hand I ordered Tortelli allá Zucca that was spectacular, the pasta was perfect cooked and the sauce was delicious. I decided to have dessert and ended the night with a Red Velvet cheesecake that was very good presenter. It is a very recommended restaurant with good prices, good food and an amazing staff.

Couldn’t decide where to eat in Dunfermline so plumped for Carlucci’s. Haven’t been for ages. Food was amazing, service also and the restaurant is lovely. I had caprese salad, lasagne and profiteroles. My partner had bruschetta and polo picante. I would say this is the best meal we have had in Dunfermline for as long as we can remember. Well done to the Management and staff for our great dining experience.

My friend and I had a lovely lunch here yesterday. The restaurant was fairly quiet as we came in at end of lunch period. We were attended by two lovely waitresses Alisha and Rebecca, both of them very friendly and attentive. We both had the minestrone soup which was very tasty. My friend had the Arrabiatta, which she said was lovely. I had the gluten free Margarita, which I greatly enjoyed. Would be great to have had half pizza and half pasta dish (just a wee suggestion, an Edinburgh favourite offer this) However must mention that it’s great to have a restaurant who makes big effort for us Coeliacs, which is not always the case, so big thank you to owners and Chef for that! This was enhanced by the fact there was two very nice gf desserts on offer instead of the usual sorbet or plain ice cream. I enjoyed the moreish fudge cake and my friend was amazed at the very generous plate of gorgeous profiteroles, We also enjoyed a lovely Italian wine. All in all a great lunch here.

I ordered spaghetti mare. It did not taste fresh. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy. I should have sent the dish back but we were a large party and no one was happy with their order so a) I didn’t want to make a scene and b) based on the fact that no one at the table was happy with their food, I didn’t think they could remedy the situation anyway. Other members of our party posted reviews about their food as well and instead of receiving an apology they were called “nasty.” That’s quite something considering that one member of our party was vomiting all night from the bad food. Having worked in hospitality business for many years, I cannot believe management argues with the guests online instead of trying to focus on improving their guest experience. If it wasn’t for the rude comment from management to other members of our party, I would have let it go, but now I feel obligated to warn others about the management’s unprofessional behavior. The only reason I gave 2 starts for service was because of the two very nice and polite servers who attended to our table. Management should take lessons on customer service from their staff — and their time would be better spent improving the food rather than arguing with people online.

The very worst steak I’ve ever had, it was advertised as 21 day matured. Full of grizzle, no seasoning, thin and tasteless. 8 of us ordered different food off the menu, not one was happy with their food, the seafood pasta made him sick, the pizza base was thick and uncooked etc etc.

I’d never go back there and regret choosing the place in the first place. Ordered pizza, one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. The dough was thick and uncooked and inedible. We each ordered a different food and they were equally bad. Absolute waste of money.

well ,as italian i have been in many awfull italian...ish restaurant ( edinburgh,fife, glasgow) but in Dunfermline Fife !!!!!!!!!,there's is this littele Jewell restaurant,attentive staff,friendly and professional,posh decor,chill space,modern,i had a Carbonara and was really good,the house wine was good quality,think the best was the homemade tiramisu',so my experience for the first time was 11 out of 10

24 of us went here for my retiral night out on Saturday 29th and to say it was fabulous is an understatement. The food was perfect, the service was perfect, nothing was any trouble to the staff, who smiled all night. I would highly recommend Carlucci's. Well done guys.

I went on Saturday before a show at the theatre with my 9 year old son and my mum. The restraunt has a lovely atmosphere as soon as you enter. The girls were so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and the pre theatre menu is such a reasonable price and there is plenty of choice. We all enjoyed our experience here and will definetly be back if we are up that neck of the woods again. Would thoroughly recommend.

Food was very average. My cacciatore hadn’t been cooked long enough and wasn’t that hot. Pretty unremarkable. The staff were friendly and service prompt enough but they were a bit grubby if I’m honest. Would say very average.

Amazing food, decent prices, friendly staff

Absolutely fantastic service and the food was amazing. Went with my daughter, grandson and daughter in law before we went to a nearby theatre to see a show. Their pre theatre menu was brilliant and they accommodated my 9 year old grandson too. Definitely recommend to anyone and we will be back.

Small place and was quite busy so opted for a takeaway order. Online ordering was easy and was ready in 30 mins. Great vegan menu with very reasonable prices. Food quality varied - tofu bruschetta was fantastic but spaghetti was overcooked and spinach was bland. Good overall though and will definitely be back to try the pizza!

Now this isn’t entirely a bad review but I am only scoring this on the price and quality of food. The staff were lovely and the service was very good from the two girls that served us. The young blonde girl and the young Italian girl were fantastic hosts. The food on the other hand was bland and underwhelming for the price. £30 for a sliver of ribeye steak, that would be difficult for any chef to cook to a decent temperature. I think if you order a steak you should at least have the enjoyment of cutting into it. But this was a slim, and unnecessary cut of ribeye that would have been better suited to a sandwich, with a bitter, acrid taste of a chargrill well due a clean. The seafood spaghetti was not impressive in the least. A bland one sauce fits all tomato offering, with frozen mussels and squid thrown in. Truly an abomination in Italian cooking and not worth nearly £18. My personal opinion is that this was once a good restaurant, but unfortunately now it’s a cheap run of the mill Italian eatery with poor chefs and even poorer quality produce. You can get better for a decent price elsewhere.

After a lovely walk around the city my girlfriend and I went into this lovely restaurant for a meal with family. Overall it was a fantastic experience. The staff are very friendly and inviting. The decor is lovely inside with beautiful pictures and atmosphere. The food was really good . For starters we shared the antipasto which was wonderful. The meats were great quality and the bruschetta was delightful. For our mains we went for lasagne and cannelloni ripieni . The lasagna was really good and reminded me of the one in Bologna. The ripieni was fantastic . The ricotta and spinach combination was superb and it made even better with the mozzarella and sugo combination. If you are in the city then do take a pop in as this place serves authentic Italian food at great prices.

Great Italian pizza . Really good experience we were looking for an authentic Italian pizza to order from and here we go we found this amazing hot light dough fresh tomato and basil straight to our door still very hot when arrived. Care and attention in the packaging of chips and coke in glass was fantastic! Delivered to our door 30 minutes before the scheduled time . We had our lunch at Carlucci during a day trip to Dunfermline. A Pre-theatre menu was available and it only costed £25 for 3 courses. The starters and mains we had were surprisingly good. Loved both the starters - the mussels in a tasty white wine sauce were fresh and juicy, while the fried calamari got crispy batter and the squid rings were still tender in texture. And we ordered pasta for both the mains. The spaghetti carbonara was done well, the sauce was silky and creamy enough while the spaghetti was firm and slightly chewy. And the lasagna was really cheesy and flavourful with the tomato sauce. The tiramisu were less impressive though, it was decent but we had tried better ones around Scotland. Good wine and the waitresses were super friendly.

Frozen calamari? Garlic mushrooms without garlic? Shop bought gnocchi? If you like a dissapointing Italian, this is the place for you. Had a very dissapointing meal here last week. Calamari at £11 for a starter is expensive, but even more disaapointing when it's clearly frozen. The garlic mushrooms lacked any sort of flavour, including garlic. Gnocchi was overcooked and would have been better bought from Tesco! If you can't cook all of this from fresh, there is too much on the menu. Wouldn't come back or recommend, even though there was a lot of gluten free options.

Unfortunately the food tasted very unfresh. The seafood pasta was so disappointing and I was looking forward to it, everything tasted frozen and like it had cost £2 to make and charged £17 for this pasta. However the servers are so lovely and caring and you cannot fault the waitresses, very nice people just not great food :(
