In for lunch with friends who are visiting. Really nice place. Decor is very modern and quite simplistic. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great and the waiter was extremely friendly and nothing seemed to be any bother. Definitely will be back

Table at the door- asked if we could sit at back and said no, but there was 5 tables empty. The draft was very uncomfortable. I ordered vegetarian pansotti and one of them and fish in it. extremely dangerous if I was allergic, unacceptable. The waiter said for the “inconvenience” dessert would be on the house. Once asked for the bill he apologised and said the boss changed it to a 10% discount. The owner / manager himself came at the table saying he’d complain to the company that makes the filled pasta, simply not enough as this could have hurt someone badly! They were lucky I do actually like fish - but I didn’t appreciate my meal being mixed. The dessert thing was a very poor and greedy move!

Travelled over to Dunfermline for the day with my family to visit the historic sights and not being from the area, we had no idea where to go for something to eat. A quick google brought up Incontri and the reviews looked great. We love an Italian restaurant so we decided to try it out - we were not disappointed. Our waiter Giuliano provided great service and nothing was too much trouble - my mum wanted to combine different elements of two pasta dishes on the menu and he was so helpful and obliging. The dish ended up being delicious - I had a steak with the parmesan/truffle fries, and my brother had chicken in a cream sauce with the same type of fries. I also had an Espresso Martini with my lunch and it was one of the best I've had. All the food was amazing and so tasty. We enjoyed our meals that much that we are considering the two and a half hour trip back to visit again.. highly recommend and one of the best meals we've had in an Italian!

I and my family had a most enjoyable evening at the delightful venue. The food was delicious and service excellent. Fabio the owner was friendly, welcoming and his humour is the icing on the cake. I will definitively revisit the restaurant when I am in Dunfermline again.

Had a wonderful meal here, everything was delicious. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come here again. We had the bruschetta and caprese for starters, risotto verde and arrabbiata for mains and tiramisu and sorbet for desert. We had the house wine which was lovely.

This is the second visit in a month where we have been unhappy with the service. The first was for a set lunch which is good value if you are careful with your selection. The main pasta dish was dreadful some of it was edible but half had crispy inedible pasta. (Microwaved)?We complained and were given a sorry!! Today we were brought the wrong order and then had to ask for pizza knives for the pizza which was very dry and lacking in topping. The staff are quick to take the order and rush the wrong food to the table then quickly ask if you want the bill. Maybe pay more attention to detail. The restaurant wasn't busy!! There is another pizzeria in town which we will try next time.

We attended for a Birthday/Retirement celebration and had a great time. All of our food and drinks were great and the services was friendly. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and aesthetic.

Been twice now with my partner, both times have been outstanding. The food is great value for such a high quality italian, in a beautiful setting with open brickwork, will definetly be back again!

My friends and I used to love Incontri for lunch, but, unfortunately the last twice we have been, the service has been very poor and staff totally inattentive. We were seated and brought our drinks. After we had finished our main course, not one member of staff cleared our plates away, or asked if we wanted a sweet or coffee or any drinks. We were in the restaurant for at least a couple of hours and had to put our dirty plates on to another table before they were eventually lifted! We all would probably have had sweets and more drinks, so they are losing money by not attending to customers, and losing future business!

Having eaten here a number of times I chose Incontri for a meet up with a friend for a leisurely lunch. The service at the start was very efficient and we ordered a main course plus wine, which were very good. After that we were totally ignored - no waiting staff came to our table to ask if we wanted a dessert or coffee, even though we were at our table for over 2 hours altogether, and the restaurant wasn't overly busy! We eventually asked for our bill and departed - disappointed that the staff were not more attentive.
