The best restaurants serving Italian food in Belfast

We had our Christmas dinner in the gym club and we had Delizia cook for us. Very good and huge amount of food.would recommend!

Had booked a table for 7.30pm - arrived to a queue of people which extended outside the restaurant. We were eventually given a table at 8.10pm - at no stage did any member of staff reference the wait or apologise for the delay . When we mentioned the fact we had a long wait to be given a table to the waitress she commented that there had been a large number of walk ins that night which had led to delays. I am not sure why they take bookings at all if you are just left to stand in a queue because the tables are occupied by walk ins. The food was nice when we were served but I wouldn’t return.

I am Italian and I really enjoyed dining in Scalini. Their pizza and pasta of the day were excellent, and the ambience is delightful.

Absolutely outstanding service and really good food fabulous pizza and pasta dishes with very proper homely northern Irish Welcome.

Great food with strong flavours and interesting menu options. Food is consistently amazing. This is my favourite place for food in Belfast currently. There are so many options but my go to is the beef birra tacos and nduja mac and cheese. It’s also a beautiful setting and has a lovely feel to place. Cocktails and their own brand beer go down a treat

We had high expectations, based on reviews and word of mouth. We shared an arancini starter then had lasagne and gnocchi, with a green salad, a bottle of still water and a bottle of Soave. The food was OK although the lasagne was lukewarm. The bill for £95 seemed excessive, then we discovered that we had been charged £47 instead of £35 for the wine. Management were very apologetic and immediately refunded the difference. However, even then £83 feels very expensive for what we had, so I don’t think we will be back. An Italian bistrot should be cheap and cheerful. It’s a shame as an authentic Italian restaurant is a great addition to this part of Belfast - but at these prices I’m not sure it will last.

Fuimos a un almuerzo de cumpleaños, ya que pensamos que sería una buena opción, sin embargo yo y otros dos pedimos el especial pensando que sería bueno. Qué equivocados estábamos obtuvimos un pedazo de pollo desagradable barato con unas 4 patatas asadas de mármol y el llamado brócoli de ajo que parecía más bien 3 hebras de hierba. Mi amigo consiguió las albóndigas con pasta de tagliatelle no estaba mal, pero las albóndigas estaban frías, entonces pedimos desiertos que tardaron siglos en llegar, pero estaban bien. Para colmo, hay un cargo de servicio del 10% para las fiestas de 5 o más que estafan. Básicamente comida barata a precios de calidad. Jóvenes sirviendo eran agradables. No podría o recomendaría este lugar a nadie y sin duda no volveré.

When I first walked into this place, the first thing that piqued my interest was the smell of fresh bread/pizza. It didn't take long for me to decide that I wanted to eat pizza. And I'm so glad I did! The dough was so crispy and smelled heavenly, and the goats cheese is a must have!! My partner ordered the vegan risotto and enjoyed it very much. Our waitress was very friendly, and even offered us 2 small portions of tiramisu at the end of our meal! I was afraid it would be too creamy or overly sweet, but they actually struck a balance perfectly, and so we ate the whole thing despite already being stuffed from the main meal.

Food was rotten chips tasted funny the lasagna was freezing and the curry sauce was lice grease.

Super höflich, lecker Pizza und Tiramisu. War wieder voll perfekt. Personal ist sehr zuverlässig. Gehen auf spezielle Wünsche ein . Wenn man viel extra auf Pizza haben möchte. Kurze Wartezeit. Komme spätestens Nächstes Jahr wieder. Danke für Gastfreundschaft

Horrible service, food took over an hour to get here after they managed to misplace our order. Food was cold, and not good quality.

Perfectly made pizzas, great options on menu, quality ingredients, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Hard to beat. Best of the West.

Llamado hoy con un amigo para el café. Le dije a un miembro del personal muy hostil que estaba pidiendo dos cafés de capuchino, pero primero tenía que ir al baño y pedí el código. Ella lo rechazó. Dijo que primero tenía que pagar el café. Señalé que realmente necesitaba irme y definitivamente estaba comprando dos cafés cuando salí. Sin rodeos se negó. Dijo que era política de la empresa. Dije que lo intentaré en otro lugar. Ella dijo que está bien. Tan grosero ! Fui camino a Maggie Mays. Servido por la encantadora Elaine. No se requiere compra previa y mucho mejor café. Incluso llegó a usar el baño antes de ordenar! ! !

Super overrated by influencers on social media. The main reason there’s a queue out the door is the wild inefficiency of service. It’s absolute chaos, and would be really easy to remedy. You choose your pizza, it goes back in the oven for a while and then the person who put it in the oven suddenly remembers about it and takes you to the till. Because the person serving us decided to head off a make another pizza whilst our food was reheating, 4 people behind us in the queue paid and got their food before us. To top it off, they had no Coke Zero left by the time we finally paid because someone else behind us in the queue got the last one. Infuriating!! The pizza has a good flavour toppings-wise but it is like deep pan pizza so really crunchy base, oily throughout. Definitely won’t be back.
