Lovely atmosphere and decor, large portions, pasta dishes were lovely, nothing extraordinary but great home cooked food.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, staff were attentive and friendly. Food was outstanding. Would definitely come again. Sharing platter and pizza was amazing.

This restaurant is so beautifully decorated, the attention to detail is amazing!! The food was sooo good, when we come back to Belfast we will definitely come back :) the service was brilliant too, our server vitalina was lovely and very attentive.

Me and my company decided to go here, not me, as I had visited before and didn't like it. My company didn't listen to me and we went there. Food improved slightly, but very clear that these people have NO idea how to cook Italian food, so people eating it THINK it's good as they have no idea either. Horrible stodgy pizza. Not going back.

Popped along for dinner on the off chance that they had space, managed to fit us in with a 10 minute wait which was really good of them. Food was really lovely, cute atmosphere and really comprehensive menu and drinks menu. Highly recommend the risotto and the seafood orzo pasta, really lovely. Friendly service, too!

Plats excellents et présentation soignée. J’avais choisi les pâtes carbonaras et elles étaien excellentes ainsi que la soupe minestrone en entrée. Mon mari aveit choisi les liguinis avec boulettes de bœuf et les a beaucoup aimé aussi. Ils cuisinent leur pain et il est vraiment bon. Le calzone au nutella partagé à deux était succulent. Nous avons aimé l’atmosphère du resto. Je recommande.

Disappointing. We were greeted in a cold and rude manner, being asked if we had a reservation, without a hello or a friendly smile. Once our drinks arrived the waitress abruptly asked “who’s is this”- which my friend and I took to be very rude. The food was also disappointing. My friend and I ordered a pizza which was extremely greasy to the point we didn’t want to finish eating it. Throughout our experience in the restaurant we were made to feel very unwelcome, until we were leaving. However, we loved the interior, very unique!! We also thought the images of the drinks in the menu was a great idea. Overall, due to the negative attitude from the staff, I don’t think we will be back soon.

Met with family on Saturday and had a great lunch. Everyone’s food looked and tasted delicious. I particularly enjoyed as I was able to order a gluten free pizza which was superb. I also was able to have the panne cotta which was one of the best I have had. Reasonably priced, good service. All in all a very positive experience.

Really great atmosphere and the food is incredible mostly. The only thing that lets it down is the desserts in my opinion.

Came here with our two kids for dinner on Day 1 of our Belfast visit. We loved it so much that we came back for dinner on the second day. Staff is excellent and very welcoming. Decor is gorgeous and atmosphere equally lovely. There is a nice little buzz in the place at dinner time. Food is absolutely gorgeous, from the starters to the pizza to the pasta and desserts. Everything was incredibly delicious and impeccably presented. Thank you for making dinner one of the highlights of our Belfast trip!

We had the Caprese starter - BEST Mozarella I have had in a year. Creamy, smooth, incredible. We had the Carbonara and the Meatball Linguine - both were exquisite! The flavours were incredible, fresh - best meal we had in Belfast!

Cozy and familiar place, smiling and helpful staff even if you don't have a reservation The pizza is good with Italian quality and the other dishes too.

Mains were lovely, would come here again for food, but would go for desert elsewhere. The pannacotta was bad and we couldn't really eat it. Isn't panna cotta, was just a cup of white chocolate icing, not nice at all. Servers were lovely and vibe / decor was nice!

Food was amazing. My wife is Italian and she gave it a thumbs up. She is very picky about Italian food. The service was prompt and friendly. My wife, daughter and I had a great time and picked up a tiarmisu and a canoli to take with. Definitely a place to visit. You wlll not be disappointed.

I have just returned from a business trip to Belfast. Being on my own, I was a little unsure of eating out on my own but this restaurant looked so inviting, I had to try it. AND I’M SO HAPPY I DID! The service, food and drinks were excellent. So good, I found myself there the following night too. I’m a vegetarian (don’t judge me) and the choice was excellent for me and vegans alike.

Had a great meal at The Chubby Cherub. Was a last minute booking on a Saturday night but they got us in quickly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was delicious and the service fantastic, I would highly recommend!

We stepped there for a dinner and it was an excellent decision. Two pizzas were served surprisingly fast and we loved them, even though I was not convinced at the beginning to the mix of ingredients that they were conisted of - I was wrong, they composed just wonderfuly with one another. Not to forget about creamy and delicious tiramisu. Highly recommended place.

Went here for the first time to celebrate sisters birthday and the staff were lovely! Food was nice and service was quick. They brought out my sisters dessert with a small candle ontop and sang happy birthday without prior notice (we were asked if we were celebrating any special events when we were waiting on food coming and that was how they knew). Service charge was added but I didnt mind from the quality service we got. Would recommend!

Celebrating my friend’s birthday and what a fabulous experience. Food was excellent and our server Aimee’s attention to detail to all our needs was outstanding. Went for a meal out with friends, and had a great time. Beautiful place, lovely staff members who had the best banter, great cocktails and hair advice tips! Mac & cheese on a pizza is definitely a vibe I hadn't expected! 10/10 would go again Edited as realised i forgot the "s" to make it plural.

We visited the Chubby Cherub today for the second time . It was a wonderful experience like the first . The food wine and atmosphere deserves 10 out of 10 .A special mention for Lewis ,who stood out as extraordinarily friendly and professional....well done to you ,Lewis your attitude and demeanour wasn't lost on Stéphane, who has many years of restaurant ( Michelin star ) behind him Thank you. A charming restaurant with a warm welcome and flexible excellent service from Lewis and the rest of the team. The food was delicious and generous portions. Highly recommended

Very disappointed. Average gluten free pizza, fine but had better. Potato and chicken dish very expensive for the size. Nothing mind blowing. Extreme concern about your menu. States allergen free dishes that actually have the allergen in. Lucky the waitress is on the ball or i‘d have been severely ill! She said it may have been a menu misprint… to be honest, I don’t care. If your allergens are printed wrong, get it re done. It’s not something you mess around with. Having the wrong allergens printed could kill someone. Won’t be returning, better places in Belfast.

Ambiance was nice, but food was a bit of a let down. It's certainly not bad, but it seemed just okay compared to all the hype. Crostini was good, but my gnocchi was mediocre.

The place is ridiculously bright, not relaxing and calming. The service was awful, the staff weren't friendly and the food was pretty average. Definitely wouldn't recommend it or return.

It's says Italian but they don't know how to make Italian espresso.. Espresso was cup full with tasteless coffee. Only Italian thing was music. Girls who work are nice and polite so only stars are for them. Guy was not trained in customer service.

Absolutely outstanding food, quiet restaurant with a calm atmosphere with candles and unreal food. I went in 2019 and STILL crave travelling far and wide for the great dishes we tried here! Fave restaurant, WORLDWIDE!

Asked at the hotel for a recommendation for dinner and was very glad we did. The food was fabulous and we really enjoyed everything. Lovely interior and atmosphere. Could not fault the service. A service charge was applied, which I am fine with, so long as service is good. I did still tip as they were so good.

This experience was really disappointing . The food is very average . The chicken ceasar salad is served with ketchup like sauce and not a proper Caesar salad . Poor quality and taste . The starters — one of which was slammed on table and no apology for bread following off - speaking of the bread - the bread was quite dry and tasteless .The feta dip was almost inedible . The arancinci balls did not taste fresh and rather tasteless . The pizza was also not great and did not taste fresh . The staff also forgot to deduct the pre booking deposit , when reminded there was no apology . Will never be back and would definitely not recommend .

This is a lasagna I will remember, very special. If you have eaten part of this dish, this lasagna will probably disappoint you. Similar to a meat pudding, lots of meat, dry and boring in taste. But, my partner got a lovely dish!

We had a wonderful time at the Chubby Cherub. There was a nice welcoming atmosohere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The authentic Italian food was delicious. We will definitely return and would recommend the Chubby Cherub to everyone.

We were in a large group. Everyone said that their food was excellent. I can vouch for the prawn bruschetta starter and the meatballs main. Others recommend the caprese starter. All very tasty and well presented. House wine was good, and still and sparkling water available by the carafe. Service was friendly and efficient.

Husband booked a table here for 11th April. Our first time and certainly won't be our last. Wasnt overly busy at that time which was nice around 6pm. Staff were lovely and attentive food very fresh and super tasty. Lady waitress (didn't catch her name) was very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Our table was booked for 6pm as we had a concert to go to. We ordered straight away about 6.15 we were told we had the table for an hour and a bit to find we got our dinner at 5mins to 7. We ordered another two cocktails. Food was NICE there was a girl who couldn’t wait to get us out and the guy behind the bar when I went to pay told me to “hold on” I couldn’t believe that our bill was £102.83 and to find that services charges totalled to almost £25 I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it because of the charges they where dearer than any of our meals.

Went here for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday evening with no reservation, they were able to seat us immediately. The service was very good, they were incredibly friendly and helpful when it came time to order. We got the Mac and cheese pizza but took off the mushrooms and added jalapeños. I also got a mocktail that was lovely. Would absolutely come back again. When I was paying they asked about reservations because they take a deposit so that’s good to have in mind if you plan to reserve a table in the future.

the food was pretty over priced, not to mention a £9 service charge for 2 people, the restaurant itself is extremely pretty and the staff were lovely but towards the end we were mildly forgotten about which wouldn't have been a problem if we weren't spending £100 on our meal

If you are a tourist in Belfast at 21.00 hs and you all kitchens closed this place will be the only place open. The place is lovely the decoration is adorable, the food is amazing. 10/10. A special mention to the waitresses that took our order Mia and Maria. Mia was super sweet and kind, and Maria was amazing two. Lovely staff ❤️

Perfect place to go if you want to have a week of food poisoning and violent vomiting. Management didn't even have the decency to acknowledge the complaint or investigate, disgusting dismissive attitude. Avoid at all costs.

Visiting the city and randomly Googled eating places near City Hall and this Italian Restaurant came up. First off was the beautiful outside and welcoming interior. The young serving staff were very friendly and helpful. Our order was taken and service was fast. The food itself was awesome and portions were generous. Couldn’t find anything to say that was negative. Wish I could go again so people of Belfast, enjoy what you have.

Food is grand , nothing special but extremely expensive. Cocktails are too sugary , when brought over spilled everywhere . Staff are lovely - however far too expensive and adding vat onto a £12.50 cocktail is insane ! The cat should already be absorbed in the extortionate price . Won’t be going back.

Lovely place! The food is delicious, the staff very kind and a very interesting environment. I ate vegan food and it was delicious. There was even vegan dessert what made me very happy. My kid loved the pizza. A great experience really.

Quite possibly the best Chocolate cake and Bailey's Coffee I've ever had. Lovely staff also,with some rather pleasant background music.

Excellent place. One of the places we found where the kitchen is open a bit later. Was able to get a small table with a reso. Service was quick and kind. Goat cheese starter was a large serving,and would definitely reccomend the Florence pizza - it was a bit too much for me together. More of a quieter atmosphere. Will be back again for sure

This is the most beautiful place i have ever stepped foot into. the ambiance is unlike any other. 100% will come again and recommend to EVERYONE. annmarie and lera were FANTASTIC to us. great service and amazing cake and drinks.

Went for lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had the worst meal I have had in a long time. I ordered a main (vegan spaghetti ) and a glass of red wine. The wine was average but the main was truly terrible and is up there in my top 2 worst restaurant meals ever. My meal comprised of a few stringy vegetables floating in a watery, thin, red coloured liquid. I tried to equate the dish I was served with the menu description… and gave up. I did complain and was given a brief apology alongside a free desert that I didn’t really want. I spent the rest of the day hungry. I will never be back. Very sad. I loved the establishment they had in Upper Arthur Street and had enjoyed many fabulous meals there but quality has completely nose dived with management choosing style (restaurant is visually pleasing) over substance.

Good venue for an instagram photo and nice atmosphere, but the food and service don’t match. If we had actually been asked how our food was before we finished I would have said it was average at best.The manicotti was very pre made and of cheap flavourless vegetable sauce, and poor quality tomatoes and almost stale bread in the bruschetta. Wine was nice. Tiramisu was mainly cream. Over rated and not worth ££.

My wife and I took my mum out for Mother's Day, and we had a spectacular time. This was our first time eating at Chubby Cherub, and we were thouroughly impressed by the decor, ambience, staff helpfulness, but most of all the quality of the Italian food! I can't believe we've missed out on coming here before! This will be our go-to place for family events.

If Google done half stars, I would give this a 4.5, because it was nearly perfect. Me and the wife decided to try this place out for a meal so booked it online a week before (£10 deposit per person required beforehand, which is good, it means you are less likely to cancel). When we arrived, we were seated straight away and we were blown away by the decor. The place is stunning inside. Service was really good and we were never waiting long to be seen to. I had the tear and share bread to start, and she had garlic pizza bread. For mains I had a pepperoni pizza and she had carbonara. All four of these plates of food were delicious, no complaints whatsoever! Dessert was a brownie, and sadly this was not great, it was really dry and hardly any sauce along with it, as well as no fresh, or ice cream. Maybe this is because it was supposed to be a smaller portion to go with a tea or coffee, but when we asked about it the waitress asked if we just wanted a "regular" portion. The price was a little on the expensive side for us coming in at £75 all in (2x starter, 2x main, 1x dessert and 2x Coke Zero). Overall, really good experience here and we did enjoy the meal overall. It was great as a one off, but we probably won't be back just because of the cost and the poor dessert we had.
