This is for me a solid 5 out of 10, not great but not bad. It’s average. Food was ok, atmosphere was good and staff were really friendly, but £7 for not even a pint of lemonade is just ridiculous! Was so surprised when I got the bill! I mean I can get a pint of Guinness for less! Also, I asked for no ice so I got the glass only filled to an inch from the top of the glass. Over priced for what it is, more of a case of style over substance, and that’s what you’re paying for

Average food and overpriced alcohol. Unexpected 10% service charge added to our bill. I was with my mum and 4 children. The staff friendly and professional.

Fratelli is pretty average food at best…but the prices do not reflect this at all. Almost £30 for a burger - and a pretty average one at that - is a total rip off. I’m not sure being a part of the Galgorm Group is as much of a badge of honour as these establishments would like it to be - it’s fast becoming shorthand for overpriced and nowhere near as good as it thinks it is. Dont believe the hype!

We were amazed!!! They care a lot about their customers, cleaning, wonderful attention, as soon as we enter they ask us if we have allergies, in my case I have an allergy to fish, I was going to order a salad and shortly after they told me that it had fish, I loved the concern and such good attention. Highly highly recommended, very happy, and the food was delicious!!!

I just walked in without a booking and I was immediately found a table even thought the place was very busy. I had the most delicious pizza and tiramisu. The staff & service were excellent. So it was a complete delight especially as I was a walk in. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

It's not a high end establishment which was a surprise as it is owned by the galgorm group, however staff were very attentive, pleasant and upbeat (which was a big plus) and any teeny, tiny issues were dealt with very well and quickly by staff. Food portions were a bit confusing between the small and large sizes but were very tasty. If I was being picky then I would say that the fabric in the booths was a bit grotty and could do with being replaced and the music choice could do with being updated and felt very 2005. A lot of groups, a lot of tourists, a lot of families. We'd go back because the food was good and the service was nice.

Pizza tasted frozen like one you’d buy from the supermarket. Garlic herb potatoes very bland. Lasagne was nice but nearly £25.00. All food was over priced for all it is. Overpriced drinks too as glass of wine is £11.25. Will never be back again.

Delicious food, fast service and great atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant inside, staff are friendly and helpful. The negative was the pizza toppings. The prosciutto ham on the ham & pineapple was slightly fatty pulled port. The waitress said it was prosciutto, but when I disagreed, she spoke to the manager. I can't fault the fact we were refunded for my pizza and the manager was very apologetic. Apparently, she was going to address it with the chef. We were offered something else but unfortunately had a concert to attend.

Very good pizzas and cocktails. We arrived after a long drive and were warmly greeted. Great service and atmosphere.

Previously had been to fratellis mid November and found it enjoyable. So I booked again for my family. The guy at the door who checked us in was unfriendly, unhelpful and arrogant. The waitress we had was pushy and didn’t take our order correctly. Made mistakes and pushed them on to us. Food was average at best. The pizzas were ridiculously over priced as was the whole menu. Belfast has so much more to offer and unfortunately this place isn’t up to the mark.

Customer service was absolutely unreal from start to finish, never had service like it. Such genuine friendly and helpful staff! Food was delicious! Couldn’t fault anything! Thank you!

Incredibly overpriced. £21.75 for a ham and pineapple pizza?? Nearly £30 for salmon and a few bits of broccoli? I found the man on the front desk to be somewhat lacking in charm. Our waitress was a delight, though. Not impressed.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We found the food to be good however in my opinion it is way overpriced even by city standard. For this reason I would not return.

OMG, this place is fantastic! Rat was extremely accommodating when we arrive late due to our flight being delayed. The food was outstanding, and the four of us commented that it really was the best meal we have had in a long time. Trip and service impeccable all round. Atmosphere and music was great. We will definitely come back and I would recommend this restaurant to anybody!

We had a fantastic meal here before our GOH visit. The manager went above and beyond to accommodate us, despite being fully booked on a Saturday, we had mistakenly booked a table for 2 instead of 4. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. We're grateful for their flexibility and can't wait to return.Thank you.

Lovely warm restaurant. We had no booking and they accommodated us during a very busy time. Would recommend booking though. Food was amazing and couldn't fault the service.

Wonderful food and lovely attentive staff. However I feel the prices were on the high side. I have never paid £6.50 for a bottle of still water and will never again. Total extortion and left me reeling. Admittedly I should have asked the price before hand. Big mistake.

A little gem of a place, gorgeous food, and excellent service.

Lovely Italian to dine in. We had a very long day and jet lagged so came in close to closing time. Staff were friendly and understanding that we just needed a bite to eat and drink and relax. Had a bit of a mishap with spilled wine, but after cleaning up and a few laughs with the staff we thoroughly enjoyed the Bacon Caesar salad, real dressing, Lasagna and Linguine Scoglio was tasty and filling and the wine that wasn't spilled. Thank you to the staff Whitney, Conor and Jack for taking care of us.

Congenial, welcoming atmosphere, good food, generous portions, excellent waiters, could not fault the service. However, price wise it was a rip off. 3 Mains, a salad, 2 alcoholic drinks £106 ! Way too much. Tap water £6, tiny wine £8, VAT on top, that was totally unexpected! People aren't that well off. We can make just as good Italian food at home, so that's where we'll stay. In the present climate, things will only get worse.

Lovely place to come as a family with a warm atmosphere. Kids really enjoyed making their own pizza. Staff were great, and the butternut risotto is probably one of the best I've ever had, really creamy and well seasoned. Would highly recommend.

It was early when I went in so hard to gauge atmosphere. Staff were excellent throughout but pizza (while a personal choice) was pretty mediocre and very bready, and at £23 ridiculously overpriced, as was a pint of beer at £8.60. Proximity to a theatre apparently adds a bit to the bill. Nothing would encourage me to go again.

Food tasted great, an initial hiccup was rectified with (non gf) croutons on my gf meal, I checked, it was an honest oversight and fixed. Chicken and mushroom pasta was absolutely delicious, service was excellent. I’m a 30+ years coeliac, I’m very happy with good food and great service. Highly recommend!

Stopped by for dinner while we were in town. Everything was phenomenal.

If you are Italian don't come there it's another super fake Italian restaurant even the arancini are fake. If you are Irish just remember that's not what we eat in Italy. If you are Italian, avoid absurd prices like the plague to eat the classic disgusting place with pasta with chicken and pizza with pineapple

Nice atmosphere. Food was good, my husband had the Chicken Parm and I had the Roast Butternut Squash Risotto. We had the Nutella cheesecake for dessert which was good but it was more of a Nutella mousse pie and the crust was really hard so couldn’t put the spoon or fork through it. Service was satisfactory.

This place is amazing, food is fantastic, staff is so nice and amazing, cocktails are on point. Monica was appointed our server and was wonderful.

Really enjoy this place. The vibe and atmosphere are lovely and the staff are great. Great value for money. The portion sizes are good and overall not too pricey. I absolutely loved the miniature dessert, it was the perfect finisher for me since I thought I would burst after so much pasta!

It seems that they thought we were foreigners and instead of giving us tap water they brought a bottle of water, 6.50 pounds for it! We saw water jugs in other tables but it was too late. Food is ok but maybe a bit overpriced.

DW/CG visited Fratelli on a Friday night. We were fortunate to be seated right away without a wait. Our server was initially very attentive and answered our questions. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Unique decor and ambiance. We put in orders for lasagna and pizza. And some red wine. The pizza was very good -- crust was amazing and cheese was not greasy or oily. DW was really happy with this choice. The lasagna for CG came out in a small pan. It was hot as molten lava. Poor CG could not touch it for at least a half hour. DW had finished his pizza before the lasagna could be tasted, and even then it burnt the roof of the mouth. And sadly it was not very good -- mostly sauce, little flavor, and no pasta noodles that we could find. The lasagna recipe needs to be reviewed. And we could benefit from bread and salad with our orders. I mentioned the server was initially attentive. This changed after the food was brought. We must have waited an hour for the check. We had to track down the server to get checked out. We hope Fratelli can make some adjustments to become an amazing Italian restaurant.

Not great food, way overpriced, poor service.

My Daughter and I had a wonderful meal here, the staff were fantastic, very attentive and enthusiastic as well as helpful and happy. The food was great, I loved that you could choose small or larger portions and such a variety. I went for the mushroom risotto, which was so flavoursome and perfectly seasoned. My 9 year old had the mozzarella sticks, the make your own pizza which was fun and really tasty, and a miniature desert, which wasn't that miniature, and a kids milk drink 😆 the experience where my daughter got to wear a chefs hat and apron made her day (it was her birthday) along with the staff members. It was reasonably priced too.

My family called into Fratelli tonight and got six meals, three of them were OK, one of them was great and two of them were terrible, not ok especially at those prices. The margarita pizza was awful and cost £17 and the halibut on special was overcooked, a tiny portion and in a bad tasting sauce that had a real burnt taste to it. Halibut was £34.

The best Italian food in the whole of Belfast . Lovely ambience & service as well

I chose Fratellis as there were so many vegan options (for myself) and a great general menu for friends. My vegan food was awful. £21 for a plate of bland stodgy spaghetti (even though linguine on menu) and the biscoff cheesecake had no base 🙈 … friends were happy though

I recently dined at this wonderful Italian restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delightful, showcasing authentic flavors and quality ingredients. Yummy Regional Italian food in Ireland. I've worked in a similarly styled restaurant in the US, and felt like I was in a comfort zone. Nice wine list, traditional menu, and just right sweet treats. I had the wild mushroom Risotto and they added a smoked chicken breast for me. My friend had a bolognese that disappeared before my eyes. Fresh mixed green salad alongside made it all delicious and nutritious!

Very expensive had 3 pizzas we also had a small chicken wings a chips and bruscetta starter one beer, one wine and a coke £100 before tip. Nice food atmosphere and good service. But found the price very dear £22 for a pizza? In dublin city centre which is expensive average is €17 about £15. Again nice place good quality but overpriced.

My friend and I Had a flight cancelled on me last Sunday just 2 hours before we were due to take off, so we had an extra night in Belfast more than we had planned, but so glad are we that we came across this lovely restaurant who accommodated us so late on a Sunday that I did not mind the flight cancellation as this was worth it. I only regret that it slipped my mind to leave a tip, but should I find myself back in Belfast again, I will absolutely come back. The lasagne al forno that I had was delicious and the staff were fantastic!! Not to mention that the Nero D'avola wine was stellar!

For an Italian restaurant it's a disaster... Perhaps we are too used to it. In any case, it's not great but at least the lasagna is stuffy and it's tough! The other is a Caesar ''salad''...

Food was terrific and they had a nice drink selection. Service started out fantastic and then fell off a little. It did not affect our experience.

A very cozy and welcoming restraunt that I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place for dinner! The lighting was atmospheric, but we were still able to read menus. The booths were very comfortable and had high backs, so we felt tucked in without being out of the way. The service was exceptional! The gentleman that was serving us was very friendly and polite. Always quick to refil our water jug, easily noticed when we were ready to order and knew when we were ready for the dessert menu - which you MUST have a look at! I am still dreaming about the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake! The portions were all the perfect sizes. I don't remember what the bill came to, but it was very reasonable for our group of 5 for mains and desserts. This seems like the perfect place to celebrate special occasions or to go for a nice family dinner and we didn't feel out of place as a group of tourists calling in. Next time I'm in Belfast, I'll be back!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday on 28th June. I would like to thank our waiter Jack for his fantastic service and hospitality, he was delightful. Additionally, Conor the bartender was very kind and gave fantastic recommendations. They helped to make this a memorable and fun birthday. Thank you to everyone will definitely be back 😁

Lovely place, friendly staff and happy atmosphere. Food absolutely delicious but puddings are rather manute portions, althenough enough to recognise the taste of it. Recommended but be aware what are you getting.

Great food. The carbanara and lamb were better than we expected. The portions were perfect as well. The service was very good and the server checked in on us a couple of times. The only down side was that the tables are very close together, so it is difficult to have a quiet or romantic meal. 2 drinks and 2 entrees were $70.00

Mediocre Italian food. Carbonara is what I use as a standard for Italian restaurants. The carbonara was ok but heavy. They put cream in it which is a no-no in authentic Italian cuisine.

Visited for dinner on Saturday and was overwhelmingly disappointed with the experience. -We had tried to call the restaurant multiple times throughout the day with no answer at any point. I understand Saturdays are a busy day, but we must have tried about six different times. -When we arrived there was a small queue of two groups at the door - which you would have taken as a good sign we were in for a lovely meal - but unfortunately we stood there for close to 15 minutes before we were sat. There was one girl who was sitting folk but this takes time. When we did get seen to there was no 'thanks for waiting' 'sorry to keep you' which started us off on a negative perception of the place. The only reason I mention this is due to the wording on the booking page which explicitly states '*We cannot guarantee your table will still be available if you are more than 15 minutes late for the reservation, please contact us via phone if you are running late*' - no one answers the phone anyway, but where is this attitude for when the restaurant doesn't seat you when you arrive within your time with no acknowledgement? -At the time of booking we requested an 'upstairs' table - we were not sat upstairs. Again, i understand that sometimes requests cannot be met and its subject to availability however most restaurants will also include this wording on their website to advise guests of this. It should, however, have at least been mentioned when getting sat that the space we had asked for wasnt have been available. -The table we were sat at the booth side seats were dirty with crumbs and bits of food. The lady who sat us watched me wipe my seat as i sat, the tables beside us were then reset by two different staff members - none of which thought to wipe down the seat as they placed the new cutleries and glassware on the table. The next bookings who came in to those tables did infact sit on dirty seats. -Every other table around us seemed to receive breadsticks and some sort of dip thing? We sat and worked out if it was possibly down if you ordered a starter or not but there was no pattern to it - we just didnt receive any. -We ordered and food came quickly, which is possibly one of the saving graces to our experience. However, the spiced fennel sausage pasta with tomato and marscapone sauce can only be compared to a M&S ready meal. Bang average would be me putting it nicely. The carbonara was, to be fair, fantastic. We were checked back on - told our waiter food was 'okay' and there was nothing more said on it and he left. -Our plates were cleared and we were asked if we wanted anything else, which we replied no - i will also mention our drinks were empty at this point too. I understand it may be the restaurants process to not immediately offer the bill at this point so as to not be seen to rush guests out the door - i can appreciate that completely, but we were then left sitting at our empty table with empty drinks with clearly no desire to spend any more time or money in this restaurant for approx 20 minutes before anyone ever came back in our direction to ask if we wanted the bill. -On exiting we must have passed by about 6 staff members, not one of them as much as smiled at any customer in direct eyeline. Your staff are a representation of your brand, and if the experience wasnt already a negative one the staff didnt help my impression. I would have loved to have spoken to a manager at any point during my visit to explain all this directly - im sure there was a valid reason for some of it/it could have been rectified at the time but i didnt see one throughout my visit. If you are going to charge almost £30 for a bowl of pasta in some cases, i would expect the level of service to be considerably higher than we received at the weekend. Google reviews doesnt let you give 0 stars, but honestly the carbonara was good enough to justify being slightly above. A good italian is hard to find in belfast so we were looking forward to this meal but from somewhere set to 'ooze rustic italian charm' it was overall completely disappointing.

This is such an over priced restaurant for such incredibly average food. Avoid. Ate somewhere else on our second night in Belfast which was far superior and cheaper. £25 for a poor quality burger. They need to up their game or lower their prices. This is so off

A real gem. After trying Pizza Express round the corner and getting a rather frosty reception we were delighted to find this place. It was so welcoming and everyone was very friendly. The kids were greeted with enthusiasm and the kids menu includes a make your own pizza and babyccino. The pizzas are very tasty.

Had an amazing meal here. Called in late and got a table, staff were very friendly and a nice chilled atmosphere. Just back from Venice and the food was above and beyond anything had there. The seafood linguine and the rigatoni were so authentic and tasty. Also really like that at the end of the night there was no rushing customers out and staff all sat together as a family to eat before they finished for the night. Would definitely be back. Best pastas we have ever had!!

Service was good, food was okay and not worth the money. Menu does not list full ingredients - I couldn't eat the duck arancini as it was covered in mint (fine if you like mint!). Had it have said on the menu it was served with ground up mint, I wouldn't have ordered. Couldn't send back as we were out on the balcony and staff served the food and didn't return until taking plates away a long time later. Expensive enough to not be able to eat some of it. Parmesan and truffle fries were great. Scampi was nice - definitely prawn pil pil (prawns in garlic) rather than breaded/battered scampi. Again, menu didn't mention breaded or battered but assumed it was with it being called scampi and not simply "prawns". Wouldn't return, would go elsewhere as the menu isn't great.

Very tasty food, from starter to the dessert everything was really delicious. Nice atmosphere. They have plenty of gluten-free options as well.

Worst Italian restaurant I’ve been to! Very disappointed in this restaurant, overpriced for what it is. The baguette starter was something most restaurants would provide for free as an appetiser, basically a small piece of dry bread with some chilli jam and mozzarella paid £25 pound for the seafood linguine which was basically a medium sized bowl of pasta drenched in a tomato bolognese style sauce with three or four mussels, clams and a few small overcooked prawns. My partner had the fennel sausage rigatoni and described it as being like a ready meal. The tiramisu was tiny and wasn’t anything special. Service was ok which was worth a star but definitely wouldn’t return.

We were here last evening fir my grandsons 9th Birthday party..it was amazing! The little Boars menu is so good and making they're own pizzas wearing chefs hat and apron just makes it so special. Thank you to Monica our waitress who spent time talking to the kids and making us all feel so special..the service was great and my pizza was gorgeous...my granddaughter lost her ear pod and I got a lovely phone call just now saying they found it.! Many thanks again Monica and we ll certainly be back soon

These 5 stars are mainly dedicated to the Matre D Whitney first and foremost, who, while working under extreme pressure greeted us with the warmest of Irish welcomes to then Callum the effortless waiter who seamlessly brought our delicious food without fuss and served ours and other tables like an absolute professional. This place would be rated good without the staff.. they elevate it to exceptional! We had a beautiful evening rounding off a great trip to Belfast ❤

Absolutely delicious meal had at Fratelli's recommended by our hotel "Room 2" Our waitress Marta was super attentive and friendly. The background music playing was fabulous ...a real mix ! I could have stayed all night listening to tracks I haven't heard in decades. Fantastic atmosphere We are loving Belfast , and we will definitely be returning.

On my own in Belfast and not sure where to dine, but I was really pleased that I chose Fratelli. The staff were charming and efficient and the atmosphere was surprisingly cosy for a fair sized restaurant. What really gets my 5 star rating is the Liinguini Carbonara. It was the real deal - NO CREAM! Many restaurants use the latter as an easy option. Instead, egg yolks were used, the cheese was pecorino and I’m pretty sure that guanciale was also used, so 100% genuine and I reckon the best carbonara I have had outside of Italy. The portion was generous and together with a large glass of decent Italian Sauvignon Blanc and an affogato I paid £37 and left feeling well satisfied. Happy days!

Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our evening at Fratelli’s. The wait staff were attentive, knowledgeable and polite. We had a ring side seat to watch the kitchen crew at their craft. They were wonderful. The menu, the presentation and the quality of the food made our evening. If we’re ever back in Belfast we’ll be back at Fratelli’s.
