Really lovely restaurant. Delicious pizza and starters made from fresh ingredients. Great service from Ethan. We will be back to try desserts.

Had the most lovely experience at scalinis today! Such a nice atmosphere! Our servers had the most amazing customer service! They where friendly, kind, making us laugh and interacting with us so nicely. Niamh B and Lucy where so lovely always asking was everything OK and did we need anything. We were not waiting long for them to take our order or to serve us. Very fast service. Their personalities where so bubbly and nice it really made our dining experience. Food was amazing as always!

Great place. I don't usually like Italian but this was a nice meal.

The food was very good, though a bit steep. The atmosphere was very nice and lively. Both our servers, Ethan and Niamh B were polite and professional throughout our meal, while simultaneously being funny and likeable. I would recommend.

Fantastic service - food came very late and staff comped the bill with out us even asking, incredible customer service. And to add to that, the food was excellent. Will definitely be returning as they show they genuinely care about customers!!

Very nice place, very well received. Only, the team managed to find me a table. I could meet with my eyes all those who went to the toilet! Really disappointing experience tonight! We asked our server to confirm whether the pizza called Danielle had a tomato sauce, since I don't like white pizza. She said that it did. It arrives at the table, there's no tomato sauce, it is a white pizza, and it's extremely oily. As well, our salads had no salad dressing and we were not given plates despite saying that we'd be sharing the pizza.

Food was superb. Service excellent.

Really lovely spot. We're just back from Italy and the whole feel of the restaurant just brings you back. The staff were so nice and they seated us as a walk in even though it was a busy Friday. Lovely spot, we'll definitely be back :)

Good food and service. My Affogato dessert did miss key components (espresso and amaretto) but was quickly rectified with out issue. Would go back.

Great atmosphere - great food - great service

First time in Belfast and we chose Scalini's for our evening meal. The food is out of this world and so much of it. The service is an easy 5 star and so friendly, professional and efficient. The whole atmosphere is authentic and charming. It was like being in Italy. We will definitely return and highly recommended. Thank you all so much.

We looked at restaurants in the area we were staying & Scalini was one on the list after reading the reviews, we decided to book online however it said there wasn’t a table until 20.45, so I called the restaurant and they said to come along & they would seat us. On arrival we waited all of ten minutes, then was shown to our table . We were blown away by the quick service & the hospitality the staff make you feel very welcome. The food did not disappoint either we both had lamb steaks they were cooked to exactly how we asked for them to be. If we had any negatives it would be that the toilets are on the third floor, so lots of stairs to climb hence why it is called Scalini ( means stairs in Italian) but this can be overlooked due to the beautiful ambiance.

The starter was good but as you can see the main stake was really disappointing.

All I can say is 'wonderful '. Lovely, friendly staff and the best Spaghetti Carbonara ever. Bravo. If I come back to Belfast, I'll be sure to revisit

As ever, great Italian food, at very reasonable prices. Very busy in the evenings, so may have to wait for a table, although usually not very long

I've been here twice due to lack of alternatives nearby. The dishes were not bad in taste, but the menu has very little that is Italian: the dishes recall some Italian dishes, but with imaginative preparations to satisfy British tastes and "Beveraggio" (written on the menu) is not the Italian translation of beverage! Furthermore, the environment is the classic stereotype of an Italian restaurant.

Came here on recommemdation from our taxis on route to a different place so glad we did food is amazing service 1st class will hopefully return before we go home just be mindfull that its over 3 floors so lots of steps but worth the hike ❤️

First visited Scalini just recently and am so very glad I did. Whilst visiting Belfast with extended family we discovered this restaurant online and booked it. Menu really sold it to each of us. Something for everyone, literally. One was coeliac and gluten free options were no problem at all for the restaurant. Welcome was fulsome upon arrival and table service was excellent, with very attentive staff on hand. Restaurant is on two floors and each is authentically decorated. Access is only by stairs. Menu is not extensive but has variety. Thoroughly recommend their gamboroni (prawns in white wine sauce, baby tomatoes and garlic) for starter. Had piccante pizza and it was superb. Base was one of the nicest I’ve ever eaten. Not thick or doughy at all. Comes with pepperoni, salami, onions and I added black pepper. Others at the table had dishes they gushed about. Deserts were decadent and very refreshing. Utterly recommend their chocolate orange cheesecake (Torta all’arancia di cioccolato) 🤤🤤🤤 All were in agreement that it was a fabulous meal and the restaurant was a great find! Thoroughly recommend if in Belfast. Very reasonable price-wise and superb food. We will most definitely be back!

Family restaurant on multiple levels, trying hard for a slightly kitsch Italian ambience., with good food. Prepare for stairs if you need the loo.

I had come here with my son about 2 years ago and I had forgotten to write a review😅 Unfortunately since then I have not gotten a chance to revisit Scalini's but I definitely will sometime soon! Im an Italian and this is my opinion on this restaraunt; The food was amazing, the drinks too, the service was impeccable, and the scenery was amazing! I definitely reccommend for when going to Belfast

Couldn't really understand why people see this as more than an average Italian restaurant. But perhaps I'm harsh. Food and atmosphere were fine when I went but at the same time never felt particularly homely.

Food was plentiful and so tasty. Staff were professional and attentive.

Lively and relaxed ambience. Good comfortable seats n great service. Vegetarian options are good and don't dissappoint. Good pizza, Ravioli n Pasta, although didn't fancy mint in my pasta it wasn't too bad. Ravioli was yumm.. n garlic potatoes as well. Overall it was an enjoyable meal experience with teenaged kids. We went around 7pm on a Friday and didn't had to wait for being seated.

When you enter Scalinis it really feels like you’ve walked into an Italian village somewhere remote. All the details that create this idyllic atmosphere will blow you away. All the paintings and balconies. 100% worth the visit. We tried carbonara and tagliatelle al salmon which were absolutely delicious. They even had a mocktail available for my breastfeeding wife. It is popular so definitely recommend booking in advance to get the best experience.

A little dismayed to be charged £1.40 for a little extra pineapple on my pizza ( I know pineapple on pizza 🙈) I just thought they would put a few pieces of pineapple on extra really strange to be charged. Never noticed the bill until I got home to Omagh and checked the bill. I know times are hard but really. Other than that the staff were very attentive and the food tasty

The pastas and desserts were also very delicious. They were very nice, as they forgot that we had packed the leftovers, they brought a whole new batch of food and we could take it away. We would love to come again when we are in Belfast.

I loved the decor! Felt like I was in a little Italy, very comfy and so so fun. Food was amazing but the ravioli was small compared to other dishes. Will be back, highly recommend!

Went here for a birthday treat with a friend. Enjoyed three lovely courses. The selection on the menu is excellent with plenty for all tastes. A little on the pricey side for what you get but worth it for a treat! Service was excellent food came very quick - maybe a little too quick? Tasted good none the less!

Staff were friendly and inviting upon arrival. Our table was a little delayed so ee waited by the door. We were seated beside the KP / till section where the glass washer machine was in full operation. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and was served an undercooked base with sliced unmistakable hot dogs on top. My initial thought was it was a mistake but they tried to convince me it was pepperoni. I asked for a margarita instead. And it was delivered to the table quickly. Unfortunately nobody came to check if our food was satisfactory. My fridnds picante pizza wasn’t spicy at all. Also containing hot dogs. The mangers were seated directly beside us along with 10 staff at the till area yet we struggled to get their attention. They also tried to bill me for a pepperoni pizza until I asked.

I have been coming here for years and always had a wonderful meal experience. I was very disappointed therefore when I ordered a meal, penne primavera, which was just about edible. I was very surprised as I have eaten here for years with only comments and pleasure being evoked. . Sadly after today, I won't back!

I got extreme food poisoning one hour after eating from here with friends, turned out to be the side salad. £100s spent getting my car deep cleaned several times and it has never been the same. No response from the restaurant when I left feedback.

Not sure why I'm giving it 4 stars....could easily have been 5 all round. Food, service and atmosphere all very good.

Family of five ranging from age 5+. We arrived at 1715. We all enjoyed the food. The service was excellent. Only a couple of small issues. The tables were close together needing to be careful to avoid disturbing other diners when sitting and the floor around my seat was sticky. Would certainly visit again.

Meals were average but it's a nice place to be.

Went to celebrate 40th birthday party booked in August. Table was set up 4 flights of stairs needed oxygen on arrival. No draught beers available only bottles. The table for 14 had 7 chairs backed against a wall so getting in and out meant people constantly having to move to let others out. Order food fairly quick however the wait was much longer. The arrival of food was random so luck of the draw who got what when. I ordered the Special pizza it was likukewarm fillings were bland I would honestly say it was probably the worst pizza I've eaten out. My partner ordered a chicken dish with vegetables when the dish arrived it too was COLD and the vegetables hard. All in all travelled from Manchester to belfast looking forward to a special celebration in a reputable restaurant and felt cheated with poor service and poor food terrible location of dining area not suitable for elderly or disabled people.

Disappointing birthday meal. Restaurant is massive inside over several different floors, spacious and nice Italian decor. We were seated right at the very top, which was difficult for mother with mobility issues. Food not to bad, good value, decent size portions, Authentic Italian. Brusetta was tasty, Garlic bread was dry, Carbonara was delicious. Having booked for 15 people to celebrate my 40th birthday, we were all seated on 1 long table which was nice. I ordered 2 bottles of champagne for the table that took 15mins to arrive. I had to ask several times for glasses, champagnes left on table, not poured by waiter/waitress, we had to pour our own. We ordered bottles of wine for the table to and that was a pour your own affair to. I ordered both Garlic bread and Brusetta together as a starter only my garlic bread arrived, so I had to ask and wait for it when everyone else has finished their starters. Same thing happened with mains. I was forgotten again and was last ro be served when the rest of the table were served.

Staff were super friendly and really interactive with the baby at the table. He loved it when they walked past and smiled at him. Food was nice, underneath my calzone was a bit burnt. Was able to eat around it. And the seafish pasta the squid was rubbery which was disappointing for the member at the table.

Great food at reasonable price. No wonder the restaurant was packed. However, it took 40' for the food to come out, which is too much waiting. We were surprised we didn't get the starter first, instead it came with the main courses

It's one of my family's favourite restaurants. I personally have been visiting scalinis for over 10 years. We love the food, variety, drinks, atmosphere, and courteous service. As a perk, it's also good value for money.

It's average. No surprises. You will get an OK meal.

Excellent restaurant experience. You're not going to get high-end food, but is 100% okay. The food is tasty, good portions, great value. Service was exceptional. And it was a pleasant to have a meal. If you're in management at Scalinis - credit to you for hiring the right people, training them properly, and maintaining a high standard. Give thanks to the serving staff too. Plus, the chefs and kitchen staff. All excellent.

We regularly eat in Scalinis as my it is my daughter's favourite restaurant. I've always loved the food although the service can be hit or miss. Only downside now is that there has been an increase in prices however the portions are significantly smaller - disappointing.
