Absolutely outstanding service and really good food fabulous pizza and pasta dishes with very proper homely northern Irish Welcome.

Food is great. Do NOT order food for takeaway. If you drop money out of your pocket realise at first instance of noticing you dropped the money on the floor the women at the till will pick it in front of you and deny she lifted it. Disgrace. Fair play to the man making the pizza who knows she done it but shame on him for later defending her when he knew he had to work with her the rest of the night. Avoid at all costs. Literally.

The pasta was excellent and they are so kind and lovely, good thing that you can bring your own drinks. If we come back we definitely go and try this bolognese. Thanks for the chicken wings, so tasty :)

Got a pizza here tonite. Sean made me a bispoke pizza to my taste and was very friendly. Finished result was amazing. Best pizza in Belfast hands down. Definitely be back

I thought this was going to be a hidden gem, and I was enticed by all the 5 star reviews, but when I walked in it almost looked a bit run down. The staff were friendly but the food was another story, the pizza I had was terrible it tasted bland and of nothing but burnt pizza dough, the pizza you'd get from Lidl for around 90p would taste better in my opinion, for how it tasted it was certainly overpriced, and I had to wait over 45 minutes! Would NOT reccomend!!!!!

Really nice place. It is small which adds to the atmosphere giving it an authentic Italian feel. Food was very nice with generous portions. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming.

We both had pizza. It came pretty quickly, it just didn’t taste great. The pepperoni was kind of bland. I expected much better given the reviews and the price.

Chef made me a bespoke version of the vesuvius and it was fantastic couldn't recommend this place highly enough 👌 bravissimo

Pizza in Ireland is not very close to the original. Pizza prepared deliciously according to British-Irish ideas. Extremely nice service. Off license. Tesco opposite with a selection of wines. 👍

After a long day of touring, we wanted something to bring back to our apartment, and Bella Vita was perfect! Quick friendly service and great thin crust pizza.

Really lovely Caesar salad and carbonara. Tiny wee hidden spot that you’d nearly miss but we had an absolutely super meal. You can bring your own drink too. Very quaint place. Staff were the friendliest I’ve met. Will definitely be back. Love the decor. Highly recommended.

We were immediately welcomed by the staff, who were attentive throughout. The food was served quickly to a high standard and generous portions. Staff were friendly and giving pointers on good places in the local area. Only downfall was the ambience, it would have been nicer with Italian music but the food was lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

We wanted a casual meal with quality food & wine and our local host had no hesitation in suggesting Bella Vita, a long term favourite. It’s BYO so that took care of the wine, and the Italian menu was exciting to read, but we’d all come for the pizza. Three different pizzas and three very happy customers! The pizza was excellent. Great base and just the right amount of quality ingredients. And the two staff members helped make the jiggly too.

Small restaurant with lovely decor and great atmosphere. Nice food. Mostly Italian dishes, but on weekends, after the restaurant closes at 10pm, they also serve freshly made chicken and chips for a takeaway, until 2am. Lovely food prepared by wonderful people. Also, a huge plus for this place is a "Bring Your Own Booze" restaurant, which can save you some serious money, when you consider the prices of drinks these days 😉

Well, to my very personal opinion the very best small, casual Italian (the owner proudly says “Irish-Italian”) restaurant in the whole of Northern Ireland. When I ask my team “do you want fancy or good?” they always pick Bella Vita! Enjoy!! 😋😋 PS: Definitely the best Bolognese pasta in NI !!

My partner and I, dined here for our first meal together 7 years ago, when it was known as "Opera". It was cosy, romantic, the food was beautiful and the staff were friendly. While in Belfast last night, we didnt know where to eat, until we came across "Bella Vita". When we realised this was where we had our first meal, we decided to try it again and we cannot put a finger on one bad point. When we arrived, we had our 2 daughters, a 6 year old, who had something to eat prior to arriving and only wanted a dessert, and our 3 month old, who was in her pram. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, re-arranging all their tables to accommodate for the pram. They were very friendly, with good conversation, and there was a real family feeling about the place. Nothing was too much for them! We ordered 2 pizzas, which were amazing, with lots of garlic mayo,and a dessert for our daughter, which she love! In 7 years, all we can say, is this place has become even more outstanding. With amazing food, a cosy, family atmosphere, wonderful staff and a funny man (statue) in the toilet. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Amazing work guys, keep it up!!!

not a great experience but nice people

My husband and I popped in last night and were treated to, not only delicious food, but a great atmosphere and banter also. The chef had us in stitches and served us a truly delicious goat’s cheese salad and pizza. It’s a pity that one cannot buy wine to enjoy with dinner, but there’s no issue with BYO, so that’s okay. We’ll be back again, especially if the same chef and waitress are on duty. Take a bow, girls! You’re amazing!

Great little restaurant in Belfast. Great service, and great food. We had the Caesar salad and bolognese and garlic bread. Everything was exceptional. I would definitely recommend.

Cook and waitress rushed off their feet to service this small pizzeria. Pizzas good but not outstanding. Tiny place but they did their best to get food out in good time.

I choosed the homemade bolonhesa and it was disappointing also we wait for someone to bring to us cattery and nobody brought to us( the restaurant it was not full at all) I was tired for wait and the food was getting cold that I went myself to get it

My daughter and I were starving as been on coach tour all day. Very friendly staff. Had table available on a Friday night which was good as got much busier as we were eating. Unfortunately no alcohol licence but could do BYO. Had lovely carbonara. Good value for money. Good portion sizes.

We stopped in after arriving to Belfast, and they were closing up well before their advertised hours. Seems to be a thing in the city for some reason. They said we could order takeaway, though not from their full menu - only pizza or wings. Disappointing because we were really looking for pasta and chicken parm, but I will say that the pizzas we ended up getting were really good - very thin crust and flavorful - and we are really picky about pizza. The two working were very friendly, too.

I ate here recently for handing ess and honestly, it's going to be my regular for belfast now. Superb food. The staff are hilarious and great craic - true belfast people! Popped by cause it was closest to Hamptons Hotel. Had a pasta here, taste is great and portions are quite generous...you won't leave hungry for sure! Also to top it all off was the friendly staff :) Would recommend a visit.

Easily the best pizza I've ever had, the staff were amazing and props to the waitress who managed to find time for us even tho it was packed out.

Visited when our family of four stayed in the Hampton by Hilton hotel. It's literally 5 min stroll from hotel. Lovely cozy restaurant with the best pizza in Belfast. Fantastic staff, great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

Got a gluten free pizza from here late last night to takeaway. I wasn't expecting much as it's tough to get gluten free pizza right but I was absolutely blown away. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Will definitely return to sit in

Excellent food and service. We were staying in the Hampton by Hilton and a staff member recommended Bella Vita. The food was fantastic really enjoyed it, the kids, boy and a girl, really enjoyed their Pepperoni pizzas and desert. I would and will be recommending Bella Vita to friends and family .
