The restaurant had only one other customer dining in during our visit. Our starter (calamari) arrived reasonably quickly, rubbery with some small limp salad garnish and a not very pleasant dipping sauce. There followed a 45 to 50 minute wait, while we sat and watched a couple of Uber eats/Just eat bikers came in and collected food for delivery. It was apparent that the business prioritised these orders over preparing ours. Eventually fed up and hungry and having had no apology or explanation for the delay we said we were leaving. Just as we were heading for the door our food left the kitchen. The 2 staff (on a Saturday night) both apologised (too late) and we were offered a discount and no service charge. This was the least they could do as we’d received almost no service. The pizza and pasta were both adequate but nothing special and I’d advise anyone looking for Italian food to go to the excellent Piazza Della Cucina which is only a few doors down. This was a bit of a celebration dinner for us and I was extremely disappointed, but you only discover these things by trying a place out. We won’t be back

Tea time come super Oil they cook the fish and chips in is disgusting Lots of choices but if they use the same oil as they cook fish and chips in that will spoil the meal totally

We had pre booked as a group of 15 and experienced very poor service. We started to arrive and were left waiting in the entrance for a while before anyone even acknowledged us. During the whole meal we were never asked if we would like drinks and ended up having to keep going up and down to the bar whenever we wanted one. After been seated around an hour, noone had been to take our food order either so we had to stop one of the waiters to ask if we can order. By the time we eventually got our food we’d been sat at the table for an hour and 35 minutes. The food was ok, but one of our orders was wrong. One of our party requested condiments and the waiter was very rude to her, asking what does she mean, saying they are Italian so don’t do condiments - but then brought some mayo to her! When the incorrect order was brought back, the waiter was clearly annoyed and picked up our friends phone and moved it to put the plate down. When we came to pay, they tried to charge me for the wrong item, when me and a friend reiterated what I had, he was rude and actually chucked the receipt. Definitely won’t be coming back! What a waste of time that was! Horrible customer service!

When a restaurant says its ethos is ‘Uncomplicated Excellence’ and it delivers exactly that, you have found something very special. Add to that the warm welcome from the owner and his team and you are onto a winner. A family night out at Pasta Nostra was exceptional. Don’t be put off by the simplicity of the menu, everything was delcious and you can taste the love that goes into every dish. We shared all of the Cichetti (Italian appetisers) family style and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. As others have said, the Focaccia is extraordinarily good so don’t miss out on that. The pastas were all delicious and ‘hand on heart’ I can say that my Charcoal Tagliolini with King Prawns was the best pasta dish I have ever had in a Restaurant! If you make it to Dolci/Dessert, the Cannolo with ricotta and pistachio was perfection, especially so with a side of their Orange Gelato! So my recommendation is go, eat and enjoy - Buon Apetito!

We visited today as it’s our wedding anniversary. We got married at Draycote several years ago and thought it would be nice to revisit for afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary. It was lovely being back there and it evoked happy memories. However, the service wasn’t good. The food itself was pretty good. We were the only ones in the restaurant yet not once did anyone come to ask if everything was ok or if we wanted anything. We had to go and find someone to ask for another drink. For our second cup of tea the milk provided had gone completely off. Leaving large bits of soured milk floating around in the cup. Mentioned this to the waitress and there barely an apology. Didn’t even offer to replace the drink. It was nice for us sentimentally to go back but I really wouldn’t recommend it for anyone else. I’d say go to one of the nicer places around here with a better ambience and better customer service.

First experience of this restaurant and we can’t wait to go back! Menu is so appetising and took a while to decide but everything was delicious so don’t think you can go wrong! Service is warm and relaxed and nothing is too much for them. Children were made very welcome and it was extremely busy and we still felt looked after. A huge asset to the village and can’t wait to go again 🌟

We come regularly to this restaurant because of the pizzas but the service and rudeness of the two staff is unbelievable, to the point where we’re going to stop going. We always have to ask to order even though they are just chatting behind the bar and if you ask for anything extra there’s a tut and raised eyebrows. You’re made to feel like they’re doing you a favour by serving you. Such a shame for the owners, a lot of our friends feel the same and it’s only a matter of time until they will start seeing a decline in customers.
