The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Awful from start to finish. Young girl waitress jumper covering hands and pink crocs on. All drinks from bottles and cans! Poor olives. Waited far too long for god awful dishes. Seafood risotto was chewy and inedible. Cannelloni meat tasted like dog meat. I'm going to guess frozen, reheated in the microwave which we saw, then in oven to make like lava. Mondello should not call himself a chef serving the nonsense we just saw. I hope people read this and stick to an actual Italian.

Highly recommend the skate wing with capers and butter. The tiramisu is homemade and the best I’ve had in London.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Starter and desert were both great but 2 of us ordered the seafood linguine and when it eventually arrived it was spaghetti with no explanation. I appreciate the food is cooked to order but it took 3 hours and we had to rush our deserts to rescue the car. The staff were apologetic and refunded a couple of glasses of wine but it spoilt a birthday celebration. As a previous poster has noted there is no way to respond to the reply from the owners other than editing this review. I really don’t want to get into a long winded discussion over this but neither do I wish it to be implied that I’m not telling the truth. We arrived at the restaurant at 7.50, our deserts arrived at 10.30 and we left at 10.40. Our wait for our starters was at least 45 minutes from ordering followed by a longer wait for our mains.

Classic Italian restaurant, great service and lovely food

Visited with my partner for my birthday. Warm, cosy, authentic atmosphere. Great service and a pleasant, attentive waitress. Food got the thumbs up from my Italian girlfriend which is a good sign and was wholesome and delicious with good portions. Would recommend the Gamberetti arrabbiata (from the specials list).

Highly recommend! I’ve tried many dishes and pastries my favourite is pistachio croissant also very nice environment and lovely staff

Lusso has been of the best pizza locally, and the gelato is lovely.

I returned today after 15 years been away and brought a good freind who can be quite picky, but her empty plate said it all. We both had fish, Sea Bass and Swordfish which was delicous including our tasty starter and lemone desert. This place is a gem and when ever thing now is getting more and more exspensive you should choose this place over any chain restaurants as it 100% authentic.

First visit , tried the homemade lasagna which was really good, had an oat latte ( tasted a bit weak,but it might be just personal preference) . Had the soup of the day which i enjoyed the most ( it was a tomato and red pepper soup) . Staff was friendly and helpful I have been looked after.

Hair in my pasta, and nothing done to correct it. Food without hair in it was ok, staff friendly.

I went to Ecco Gelato shop with my Mom and sister to indulge in some delicious gelato. They didn't disappoint at all! Wonderful, generous staff, cozy, relaxing ambience, delicious gelato. I ordered amerena white forest gelato and OH MY DAYS! boozy, candy like, syrupy cherries encapsulated in a milky, rich, white chocolate all in a silky smooth gelato base yummy! Please visit, you'll not be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing food, just the right size portions and a great atmosphere. Enjoyed by our party tonight. Packed on a Wednesday night. Luckily we booked and would advise anyone of thinking of going to do the same.
