Went here for the first and last time. The food was good but very expensive for what you had. It could do with a better selection on the menu.

I have lived in the area for 4 years and had kept meaning to go in. Finally made it in last night and what a delight! Great service, food and wine. I will be back, regularly! This will be my family’s go to restaurant, I am just sorry I never walked in sooner.

Enjoyed our 3rd visit on Sunday evening and always worth the travel from home in Torquay and stay overnight in the White Hart. This is a truly wonderful rustic and cosy family Italian restaurant. A simple menu of perfect thin base pizza and pasta dishes. Busy and atmospheric with an open kitchen for your further entertainment. We were initially attracted by the arresting bright red facade and beautiful display of potted green plants on the pavement. Very reasonable prices especially enhanced as this restaurant, despite being licensed, is also a BYO. Happy days! Another rather lovely and rare feature is that Berto's is doggy friendly. What a superb restaurant this is, a pal of mine is driven from Hornchurch at a cost of £60 return to enjoy lunch with my wife and I at the best local Italian restaurant, the food is superb as is the staff and service and at a sensible price, well done Silvo, Orazio and a wonderful kitchen. 🍷 Barbara and John Bentley

My family celebrated my grandsons 5th Birthday here.All the food we had was absolutely beautiful.Also they have a large gluten free menu,which is what I needed.The staff were amazing so friendly and polite.Its my Birthday in January so I want to come back again.

Fantastic authentic family-run Italian restaurant that delivers not only Fantastic menu, but fine wines, and that crucial special something, that key element of excellence that is so often missing in the industry. Dining here takes me make a few decades to an age of class and authenticity. Bravo! meraviglioso!

Ate here last night for the first time in years and was not disappointed food wise! Myself, husband, 1 year old and 5 years old. I had a pizza, husbands had lasagne & a creamy tomato mushroom pasta (made into a child’s portion) for my girls and all was enjoyed very much. Cooked to perfection. The puddings we also amazing! The only thing we didn’t realise was it’s not suited for little ones as there are no high chairs. We made it work luckily as we had the pram in the car and could fit it at the table we were at but for future we would have to dine without the 1 year old which I defiantly want to return for the food just a shame we can’t as a family. Apart from that it was a 10/10 for us and we thought the price was very reasonable.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is cozy, impeccably clean, and gives an authentic Italian charm. The wine selection was impressive, and it perfectly complemented the flavors of the evening. The food was absolutely delicious. I have to give special praise to the chef Dariusz for the lasagna with their special chili divinz oil. Fedorah, was a delight. She was incredibly kind, and attentive, ensuring every part of our experience was smooth and enjoyable. Favor, was a true professional. Not only was he knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, but his warm demeanor made us feel right at home. His service was prompt, thoughtful, and flawless. Roberto the owner is funny, genuine, and full of high spirits. His passion for the restaurant was evident in every interaction. The entire staff was caring and invested in making our evening memorable. The vibes were excellent from start to finish, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!
