The best restaurants serving Italian food in Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

La carte donne envie, j’me suis laissé tenter par un tacos au poulet. Mélange de saveur j’ai adoré, j’étais sur Leeds de passage, si je retourne sur Leeds il y a de grandes chances que j’y retourne.

The review in the Yorkshire Post led us to make a booking. Well it was more than worth the drive in from Pateley Bridge. One of the most delicious meals I have eaten in a very long time. Knowledgeable, delightful, staff. Brilliant atmosphere. Wish we lived nearby!

Such a lovely little restaurant, i feel like our experience wasn’t reflective of how it usually is but felt it necessary to share. First the positives! Allergies taken seriously, communication when ordering. Food tasted great also, can’t knock the flavours. Sadly, the service for us was poor. We watched every other table get an appetiser, if we didn’t get it because of my allergy it would’ve been nice to be told. It took 50 minutes for us to get our starter of flat bread. Tables that came in after us had eaten two courses as we were only getting our first. It had been forgotten so if we never asked it wouldn’t have ever come. When the mains did come the order was wrong, not the end of the world because we were so hungry we just ate it. (They did offer us a small portion of what we had tried to order to begin with which was nice) Overall, the staff were kind but we just felt so forgotten about. A shame, but I would 100% give them a second go.

We were looking for an alternative and so glad we found that Cena could provide takeaway pizza. The staff are so helpful and the food is amazing and so fresh compared to other takeaways. We will definitely be using again and also recommending to our friends.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful little family-run restaurant. We ordered a range of meals from the menu plus two specials from the diverse specials board for starters, mains and desserts (pictured was their delicious roasted sea bass), and everything was prepared swiftly and to great standard by what looked to be the one chef. Lovely music and service, smiles and love. And also VERY affordably priced in today’s economy, too! Thanks!! ❤️

Great toasted sandwich - I had a veggie sandwich with mozzarella, aubergines and tomatoes on focaccia - toasted. It was de-lush-ious ... My companions had something with bacon which they also raved about. I am told it can be mega busy but we were there as term was ending so it was busy but not manic. The shop doesn't look much but the sandwiches are definitely worth a repeat visit.

The pasta was lovely and amazing service but there was literally no sauce to the point I couldn’t taste it :( was very disappointed as i’d been so excited to try!

Went with two friends for a meal. The food was stunning! Wish we tried one of the sharing board so will definitely be back for them. I got the nduja ravioli and it was gorgeous. Cocktails were fabulous, easily one of my fave espresso martinis in Leeds. The cannoli dessert was lush! Would go back for it again also!

Trabajé en Poco durante un par de meses en la tienda Headingley y disfruté de mi tiempo trabajando allí. La comida es excelente, hecha fresca por chefs que se preocupan por la comida que están haciendo. Hay una gran selección de postres y cosas saladas, cambiando semanalmente, lo cual es genial si quieres variedad en lo que estás recibiendo. Mis favoritos fueron los Calzones y los Arancini (¡tanto los sabores como las opciones vegetarianas son geniales!). Los desiertos son deliciosos y muy variados, así que hay mucho para elegir. La crema fresca Bomboloni, o pistacho Aragastina o Cannoli son mis favoritas. Pero todo es delicioso y vale la pena probarlo. Trabajar allí fue bueno. Detrás de escena hay mucho que hacer de gente trabajadora que quiere traer una porción de la cultura alimentaria siciliana a Leeds. Bruno, gerente de la sucursal de Headingley, es un tipo maravilloso que se preocupa profundamente por su herencia siciliana y proporciona a los demás una experiencia gastronómica que refleja la alegría y el deleite de la cultura gastronómica que experimentó al crecer en Italia. Es un gran tipo que siempre está abierto a hablar de los productos que se ofrecen y cualquier relacionado con la cultura italiana, haciéndolo con gran pasión. The king is dead… This used to be the place for pizza, we’ve been a few times in the last few years and it looks to have changed hands. This last visit will be the last we come to. Poor food and poor service

Absolutely delicious food, friendly staff and quick service. 100% recommended.

My friends and I enjoyed a delicious meal on a Saturday lunchtime. We all ordered off the specials board and were not disappointed . I had Pesce Rosso which was beautifully presented and tasty whike both friends opted for spagetti alioli, it was delightful with a surprising chilli kick. A shared starter of tempura zucchini with a glass of Prosecco each, 3 mains off the specials board with a side salad and a bottle of wine came to around £32 per person. Great value for wonderful food. We will definitely be back.
