GiGi's Italian in Leeds

Been here many many times and never had anything other that fantastic food and service. Glad it doesnt ask for food recommendations cos I might be here all day trying to fit in everything I've eaten here. 6 stars not 5!!!

We were there for our 39 wedding anniversary. We ordered lasagna, penne arribiat and a tomato garlic bread. This is our 3 rd visit in recent months. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The tables are close together yes, there is no doubt about that. The wait staff are very friendly.. the quality of food is amazing. We ordered lasagna, penne arribiat and a tomato garlic bread. The food arrived reasonably quickly and was an absolute delight to eat. £25 for both of us to include half a lager. Very Happ will return again

Although I've been here before , assisted with BY ADUK registered dog , as I am disabled and have narcolepsy, on the last visit , the food was OK, I booked for my friends birthday 13.02.2024.. I made the reservation..an hour later , I was called by the owner , and was refused my dog ..shocked at this , I pointed out that my dog under ADUK law , should be treated no differently than a guide dog , but was still refused ..although he kind of killed the momentum by now ..and I wouldn't of gone there , nor will I ever and will be going down the appropriate channels of compensation..rude and arrogant, didn't care even after I explained...birthday ruined ..thanks gigi ..nice to know that you think you can discriminate now days ..but you can't..

Well impressed with this genuine Italian restaurant. Very well known and popular, always busy so book in advance. Food and beers were very good indeed.

Myself and my partner moved to Pudsey back in 2022, and we are both big foodies, so were keen to find some good local spots. We discovered Gigis not long after, and now go regularly as it's that good! The food is really tasty and reasonably priced too, and the service is beyond fantastic, the team there are very friendly and attentive, and they really take the time to get to know you as well, which aids to the nice vibe there. I highly recommend a trip to Gigis, it's a Pudsey/ Leeds institution, and well worth the hype!

Carbonara was swimming in oil. Made me feel sick.

As a group of 7 we visited Gi Gi’s for my wife’s Birthday, a nice cosy bistro, freshly cooked food which arrived hot, all the food arrived together and nothing was missed off of the order… thank you, will definitely come again 👏🏻👏🏻

Not the cheapest but very nice, tasty, well presented food. On a very busy road, not knowing the area struggled to park.

Was the worst food I’ve ever seen/eaten. I tried this place out of confidence due to suffering with my eating and now I understand why I have those problems!! We ordered meatballs, 2 bolognese pizzas and a portion of chips, SIMPLE ENOUGH! We got non cooked chips that look like they’ve been sat about (some were hard), the bolognese pizzas had hardly any sauce on, and NO CHEESE never mind a crust! The pizza wasn’t cooked properly, the full thing was stuck to the box and you couldn’t take it out because half the dough was stuck on it. I am appalled by the appearance of the food never mind the taste! I would not recommend and I will definitely avoid in the future!!

First time visit fantastic food we will be back

I came last night with friends for a quiet hen do. I've never been before. The restaurant has a really nice family feel to it. When we arrived round 8.15 it was busy (always a good sign) after a short wait we were seated. The staff were great. The food was fabulous. I can't wait to bring my future here. The owner came over and chatted to us. He was charming and kindly shared stories of his heritage. Told us about his family and about the restaurant. Thank you for a lovely evening xx

Excellent gluten free pizza. Never had so much gf choice. Friendly staff who were knowledgeable. Reasonable prices too. You need to book as it was very busy early evening. First time at this restaurant and won't be our last. Thanks.

Tried for the first time,family birthday.Good food and lovely friendly staff.Only one downside because it is small place and was full it was very noisy and we were unable to talk properly between us.

Nice food. Fair price. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Took 3 kids and myself. Felt very comfortable. I always give extra points when the kids food comes out first. I will be back.

Good was average. Witnessed the waiter getting out dried pasta out of a cupboard. I would have thought with it being a family run Italian it would have been fresh Zero baby hanging facilities. Got given a dirty changing mat and had to change me son on the hand basin. It looked like it was 20 years old We paid £4.40 for a lime and soda which I think is disgusting and a total rip off. Definitely wouldn't go back Overall a very disappointing experience

Spontaneous visit today with my family. Customer service from the point of enquiring with the restaurant if they had a spare table through to leaving after a wonderful meal and been thanked by the owner for our custom was superb. We had a selection of starters and main courses. Nice portions and the quality was outstanding. Extensive variety on the main menu and they had a special menu too. The atmosphere was very homely and friendly. Service thoroughout was very prompt and attentive. I would highly recommend a visit. We will definiately be back! What a fabulous little place this is! Friendly and cosy with amazing staff; namely Josh who managed 23 covers singlehandedly this lunchtime (including 2 parties of 8 and a birthday) and the service was still absolutely fantastic. Really personable chap with a great sense of humour and such a pleasant demeanour, we would return based on that alone. Pavel, the chef who cooked our meals, was also great both in the quality of the food and his personality, thanks again. Good quality food, very well cooked and the portions are great. We had starters, mains and dessert and the quality was equally good with each course! Very reasonably priced too and we're genuinely looking forward to going again. Can't recommend it highly enough!! Thanks Josh & Pavel, you made our visit a memorable one and the first of many!

Great pizza's and a very full menu on offer. Space was a bit tight but otherwise very enjoyable.

GiGi's is by far my favourite restaurant, which is also locally run by Leo. Support your local businesses people! In the past decade+ that I have been going, their consistency with the highest quality of food and service has never once slipped. They are extremely accommodating with such authentic, wonderful food. They have a variety of options that can cater to everyone's requirements. The atmosphere is always buzzing, lively and inviting. For such a small place, GiGi's gives out so much enticing and great energy. I could not recommend this place enough. Fantastic food. I had the pancake starter and it was amazing. Then the marinara pizza which was packed with seafood. Can't recommend it too highly.

What wonderful place. We had a late lunch, the food was excellent it was a fast clean service and I was surprised how busy it was. I don't live locally and I'd never heard of it but I'm glad I do now. It was very good value for money so I will be taking along my hubby who isn't keen on Italian food but there was enough on the menu for a fussy eater.

Tiny Italian restaurant in Pudsey, but don't let its small size fool you. The quality of the food is better than my Sicilian mother's cooking. You'd think I'd be afraid to admit this, but no she will admit this herself and her lasagna is good. Gigi's food is to die for. Hell if it wasn't such good value I'd probably kill for it too. Best damn affogato you could ask for, and yeah it's not hard. Just put espresso over ice cream and you're done, right? Yeah. But like... it's GOOD espresso over GOOD ice cream.

Staff were nice and attentive and the atmosphere was good. The food could of been better, certain dishes like the calzone just lacked flavor. Probs wouldn’t come rushing back.

Everything about Gigi's is amazing. From The moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, the wine selection is fantastic and the food. Oh my god, the food is unbelievable! I have been to gigi's quite a few times and we have never been anything less then amazed, every time we go. I am always so happy to recommend gigi's to every one I know! I can't wait to come back, again and again!!

This is a small family restaurant, the food is absolutely spot on. Its not fancy, but sometimes you don't want fancy. Just great tasting food. Service was quick even when it was busy. You will never leave this restaurant hungry, restaurant portions are always ample. Glad to live near this!

So surprised by our visit. A small Italian restaurant in Pudsey but with some of the best Italian food we have eaten. (make sure to book in so you aren’t left disappointed) I cannot believe we have not visited before. The food couldn’t be faulted, the atmosphere gave a feeling of being anywhere in the world. The staff are friendly and attentive.

It’s not often you leave a restaurant with such a positive feeling and the urge to tell your family and friends but this is one of those restaurants. Excellent service and staff. Little Italian restaurant, world class food. We’ll be back!

My wife and I were treated to a meal etc by my youngest son as it was my 70th birthday. Although the premises are very small the service and food were exceptional, with a slight hiccup with a delay on my dish ( meatballs ). Other than that we all had a real good evening at Gigi's.

I have an illness which allows me 2g of salt per day. So I have to be careful with food that contains salt (which is ALL FOOD). However Gigi did me proud and for the first time, 5 years, the whole staff in the restaurant adhere to my requirement of, NO SALT. I was amazed how they cooked everything for me and even, reminded me of "some salt" in what I'd ordered. Thoroughly enjoyed my food and the service. I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant, with its food and services 😋. Well done Gigi 👏. Thank you for making my birthday and special day. 😊

Cute little restaurant located in Pudsey, Leeds England. Have visited several times with my British boyfriend for date nights. Came all the way from Canada for their food. Good service, really good food. Highly recommend for any couples in the Pudsey area looking for a nice meal.

Lovely little place and nice food. The menu is very much all tomato sauce based. We actually prefer pasta in a white sauce, but this wasn't on the menu. The food that we did get was lovely and well presented. Service was quick and friendly. The menu is reasonably priced. Only one picky complaint would be that the manager was vaping in the restaurant whist we were eating

Not been here before and will definitely NOT return. Food is OK just OK but overpriced for what it is.What let's this place down is the front of house staff rude and incompetent issues were raised with manager e.g. several mistakes with order & rudness but just not Interested. Poor show first and last visit

Great food, quality staff, just a bit noisier than I like. Others may well love the place and say it has a great atmosphere- it all depends what you like. I do appreciate the specials board which gives more choice over the standard menu. We all enjoyed our food, and the service was good. We will be back as it is certainly one of the best restaurants in this area.

First time here came on recommendation and glad we did lovely meals friendly staff reasonably priced will definitely return.

Lovely staff and very nice food. Food is a good price for amount that you get and there is a wide range of different pastas and pizzas to get. They also have stake and a special bord that you can choose from. All of the food is very nice and drinks also.

This place I tried a sea food pizza, and a lobster ravaoli.. Both good not the greatest pizza I've had but never had a marinara and the mussels had shells on on my pizza. Never been before but maybe call again if I'm passing

Was trying to not prompt a reply from the unprofessional front of house manager, but since he replied I will edit my review. Accused my partner and I of looking for a freebie when I had already paid £60+ for standard fare and a barrage of offensive comments and multiple errors in our short visit. A medium well done steak was served initially, then it had to sit a further 5 minutes before they realised they had not brought the veg. The front of house manager looked at the steak and agreed it was way over cooked, then later went back on his word to suit his story. The second was indeed better, as ordered, but he lied saying he had made us aware it came with potatoes anyway (he hadn't, just said veg) and was happy for me to order way more food than one could eat, hence asking them to take the then cold and unnecessary chips off the bill. He ruined that part of our evening, as I was then sat for 10 mins without food and then started boasting about being in the trade for 20+ years and accusing us as previously stated. The other staff were lovely, the second steak was fine, as I told him, but was so angered by his attitude and comments that by that point I just wanted to get out of there. When you're paying £20+ for a steak you expect it to be right, no matter how busy a place may be, and getting defensive and offensive. An apology goes a long way, still charging for food (chips) that could not be eaten and were taken back, just shows profit over everything, including manners.

Rate the food and service 5* but the drinks were disappointing ie soft drinks and mixers served from large plastic bottles not a good combination.

I visited in April 2022 with 3 friends. The food was absolutely unreal! So filling and unbelievably tasty! They were happy to remove the pancetta in a vegetarian’s friends carbonara which was so great! The service was great too- really friendly and efficient and such good prices! I can’t stop thinking about the food! Thank you for a lovely evening x
