The best restaurants serving Italian food in West Midlands

As this visit to la dolce vita was in November 2024 ! It was time to add this review to one of the best restaurants I visit Through out the years.. As this is very late to add and now the restaurant is shut for good, this is To pay homage to brilliant food here.. First off was the regular canapés of Cannelloni & Croustade.. They are always a pleasure to eat over the year's.. Next was this brilliant butternut Squash dish ! The look and flavours of this was something I never thought work together well ! But it surely did. Next was another Beautiful looking plate... Cured Sea Bream, Pear & N’duja!! I know N’duja can be hot, but the balance was spot-on with this ! Plus the Pear sorbet help calm the heat down as well.. Next was the juicy, fat, chunky piece of Halibut! Cooking on the Fish was exceptional, and with a lip licking sauce to go with it! Top marks of the cook on that.. Then the regular showing of the la dolce vita ravioli ! Always in some sort of different form ! But Always a blessing to eat. And another regular staple of the Frozen Foie & Sweetcorn!! When ever this has been on the menu, I've got to get in my belly.. And this was the very last timeki had this. Next was the duck dish!! Just something about the duck at la dolce vita! It's cooked to perfection and top Quality meat.. Then we move over to the sexy dessert section 😋.. Now I just live figs as I got 2 fig trees. And find it hard what to do with them! But la dolce vita finds a way to make them into brilliant desserts. As you can tell I enjoyed this.. Chocolate & blackberry! Yes both things that work ever so well!! And it was a great way to finish off that taster menu... Then tine to relax with a coffee and a very fine Selection of petit Fours... Yet again a brilliant experience of food...

Fabulous Italian Coffee shop with bits to buy as well.

I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. All of the food is home made, quality of the produce is superb, prices very reasonable and the service is excellent.

Excellent pizzas - popped in for quick dinner whilst staying in the area. Visited with family after all staying at a local hotel and looking for somewhere to go for a quick meal on a Saturday night. We found the pub through trip advisor and saw the positive reviews so went for dinner. All the pizzas were freshly made and we ordered salads to go along with them - all delicious. Really friendly staff and locals in the bar. One of our party said it was the best pizza she has ever had. Would recommend to anyone fancying a bite to eat in the area. Beer was good too.

Fantastic food, wine and staff. Just needs a bit of music.

First time trying Artizzan Pizza high street. Pizza was so good plenty of toppings mozzarella sticks loved these salad was fresh and loads of it. Will come again and try a different pizza Worth coming and trying it out.

Comida auténtica y asombrosa. Muy limpio y amable. La pizza es como lo que obtengo cuando visito Italia. Y la brushetta es impresionante

This place is amazing. We went in for a cup of tea on Saturday 12th April 2025 and decided to try the cakes. So glad we did, I had the damson and gin cake and my husband had the Voctoria sponge. Wow just wow they were amazing, made by the owner and not bought in. Definitely reccomend this place.

One of the best italian pizza that i ate. Very good ingriedient, fresh quality, i wad very surprise. Sadly i leave far, but i will back for summer, really reccomended

Very happy with our visit. Booked last minute. Got a whole bunch of starters and mains to share. Everything was done really well. Followed by really nice desserts.

Really lovely night. Wine and food were really tasty, lots of options. Great mid week meal.

This was by far the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. On arrival we were immediately greeted by friendly and efficient staff, and were made to feel special. Service ran like clockwork, the staff being really efficient and attentive without rushing us. The menu was just superb. Meals are prepared fresh to order and the quality is outstanding. I chose a main course from the "specials" but, since it contained clams, which I don't like, it was tailored to my taste. The atmosphere was good too, and the tables spaced nicely - no feeling of being crowded or squashed in. We will definitely eat here when we visit Rugeley again. Booking is probably essential.

Really disappointed with a recent meal, pizza was the greasiest we’ve ever had couldn’t even finish it. “Truffle” fries were a massive left down also.
