The best restaurants serving Italian food in Oldham North West

Proper Italian food. Family restaurant. Friendly couple. Shah is working hard to differentiate himself from non-Italian pizza places which he certainly has. Don’t be fooled by the location. You won’t get better pizza anywhere in GM. It is more than a take away. We always eat ours in the restaurant. Small but comfortable with a good vibe.

After hearing good things about this restaurant I felt really underwhelmed after my experience. The second you sat down the waiter was asking you what you wanted no time to relax and browse the menu. When we did order the food was out in a couple of mins which for me is not a good sign as it seems it was not made to order and it certainly tasted that way. The bread was soggy for our starter and the main dish pasta was over cooked with no real taste, even though me and my fiancé picked different dishes the sauce was the same. I have eaten better microwave meals and that is no joke !! It gets two stars as the cocktails were ok but the food was shocking

Arrived early and was greeted and lead to our table the food was delicious the staff was fabulous and the surroundings are amazing excellent and very reasonable priced will make it one of my favourites

Really disappointing experience. Arrived at 8.30 while travelling. Shown to a table with a dirty cloth. The building was freezing and I had to turn around the radiator to get it to point at me. Order food … a salad, mushrooms, pasta and bread that all came at the time. The food was okay but stodgy. No check to see if so needed another drink, which I had finished sometime ago. I then stupidly ordered the brownie. Heard it being popped in the microwave. It was only half done … on edges hot but completely frozen on inside. Really disappointing overall and would not come back. What is weird is looking down the reviews you can see that people have had two very different experiences of this restaurant. Sadly this was not a good day!!

Increase of price, and was made to pay a £10 ‘table fee’ which I wasn’t told about when I ordered or made my booking on top of it all, how’s the table fee costing more than most things on the menu?? The restaurant next door (which I assume is theirs also) doesn’t do this😭 Seen your reply, and nah that isn’t my receipt. Only had one shisha and just a can of redbull😂went from £22 to £32 because of the table fee, we was given a table near the doors, we did ask if we could have a different table but wasn’t given it!

We have been here many times and it never lets us down. Service is friendly and the menu is authentic. My Dad and I had a laugh or two with the waiters and there is also a very good choice of wines by the glass. The 40 minute bus journey for us definitely justifies the experience. A la prossima!

Ordered the lobster ravioli after enjoying it elsewhere in the past and couldn’t finish it due to the smell. Probably for the best as it gave me food poisoning

Absolutely amazing restaurant and the food was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. The food was some of the best I'd tasted in a very long time.

Food was great but service was slow. When we arrived it was really busy so understandably it was slow but even half empty it wasn't great. Nice restaurant but exceedingly noisy.

First of 2 nights staying in Saddleworth. Big debate where to eat. Sorella chosen on spec due to a Dobcross barmaid recommendation. Wow. Perfect interior design and table. Staff an absolute credit to themselves, so obliging and helpful. Piece de resistance was the food. All courses perfect for anyone whose taste is upmarket, aiming for top city restaurant cuisine at sensible prices, and not a typical Italian, with variety outside the usual Italian fare. Portions generous and not plate decoration. Excellent wine selection. It was so good we couldn't bear the thought of going somewhere else and being disappointed on night 2, so went there again!!

Best hot chocolate ever (with Marshmallows and Cream)....yummmmmm...

We had a lovely experience at this San Carlo for my mums birthday. Very attentive service and gorgeous food throughout. Nothing was rushed, we felt extremely comfortable and relaxed. We tried a couple of the signature mocktails too - the Terra was absolutely delicious!Thankyou for a wonderful evening.

Pizza , seafood marinara , delivered. Fast delivery, lovely driver,food piping hot, not greasey, pizza was really good, decent selection of seafood, but just a few to many mussels and not enough prawns, but still tasty all good.

We go here often, food is always good, good wine, service is good too - heather is amazing ! and the ambience lively, yet relaxed. They have singer on some nights during the week and do specials if you wanted something a little different. I would recommend it for friends, family and date nights !
