Really disappointing experience. Arrived at 8.30 while travelling. Shown to a table with a dirty cloth. The building was freezing and I had to turn around the radiator to get it to point at me. Order food … a salad, mushrooms, pasta and bread that all came at the time. The food was okay but stodgy. No check to see if so needed another drink, which I had finished sometime ago. I then stupidly ordered the brownie. Heard it being popped in the microwave. It was only half done … on edges hot but completely frozen on inside. Really disappointing overall and would not come back. What is weird is looking down the reviews you can see that people have had two very different experiences of this restaurant. Sadly this was not a good day!!

Delivery shocking. Was told delivery would be with in the hour took almost 1 and a half, and when food arrived was cold. Go some where else it’s not worth the wait.

Just had a lovely Christmas Eve meal here. Bit of a wait due to the kitchen being very busy with take out meals - as well as a couple of big parties - but the food was well worth waiting for. Gorgeous, obviously freshly cooked dishes that we all enjoyed. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

now dont get me wrong the food is lovely but dont expect to get it delivered any time soon, took three hours to get to me. they blatantly lied about being on the way constantly then tried blaming the app, even though when the food finally arrived it was freshly cooked, such a shame because obviously not a place i can trust and neither should anyone so it goes without saying i will not be using ever again and will not be using oldham eats, just incompetent

The food was delicious ! The presentation of my wifes starter was outstanding and was equally tasteful. My mushroom starter was equally outstanding. We both thoroughly enjoyed our main courses . The wine wasnt the best , which they immediately corrected by offering an alternative wine ,without any extra cost . Went as a family of 7 on Christmas day, we new they did not have a drinks licence so we took our own. However when we got there they had a new licence. Nevertheless they were so polite friendly saying we didn't need to purchase theirs in fact they offered to chill our wines and beers several times (they could not have done anymore). The food was truly amazing cooked to perfection. Having three grown up sons who eat out a lot they could not rate it any better... The portion size was large, can not honestly say a bad thing about the whole meal and experience. It might sound a bit cheesey but in between the courses a lovely waiter showed us some magic tricks it made us all laugh and finished what was a lovely experience off.

Booked a table for 12 for my husband's birthday. The service and food were second to none. Lovely atmosphere with delicious food.

First visit since lockdown started. Had several takeaways but went out for a treat for our wedding anniversary. A beautiful meal, took our own alcohol as no licence but openers and glasses provided. Excellent service and very good care taken to put us at ease. I would not hesitate to go again or recommend others to go.

Faded with the option of another Chinese takeaway, I scrolled through the online list of available places, I did a double 'game's to we this listed, as it is my son and daughter in law favourite place. Great choice on the menu, Bridgette for me, mixed seafood for my husband followed by calzone and lasagne. Delivery was on time food was clearly freshly made ( not greasey) and the smell from the packages made your mouth water!! TOTALLY delicious. Ordered again yesterday ( week later) at my son's house (they were delighted to find the delivery service) and it was again fabulous, on the recommendation of my daughter in Law I had the goats cheese! It looked like a picture and tasted as good too. ..can't wait for takeaway night next week! OH and needed to call about a request for my grandson, no problem at all.

Me and my partner ordered from here Friday 20th August 2021. after looking through the menu I decided on the linguine Pomodoro. With myself being a vegan I checked through the menu to make sure I could order this dish as the description stated "linguine pasta with a tomato sauce and basil". I went an collected our meal and got home we opened our food and there was cheese all over the top the pasta! This was not stated on the menu! I rang the restaurant and told them there was cheese all over the top of the pasta and I can not eat this as I am a vegan. The manager on the phone then told me that all of the chefs have now gone home and they can not do anything for me. I literally live less than a 5 minute walk from the restaurant and had only collected my food a very maximum of 10 minutes ago. I offered to bring the meal back and asked for it to be changed and was told that they can not do nothing for me tonight atall. I was left with a pasta that I could not eat. I asked if I could have a refund for this meal as the menu did not state that cheese was on the dish. I was then told that it was my fault because I did not put it in the comments that I am a vegan and can not have cheese. Being a chef myself I know if a dish does not state and ingredient is in it then that item should not go into it especially if it it one of the 14 allergens! Also if menus are created allergens have to be recorded in order to keep up to health and safety regulations. I told the manager this and he continued to argue with me and say it was my fault and he can not do anything for me today. He refused to change my meal and refused to give me a refund for a meal that they made a mistake on and then blamed the customer that rang to inform them. I was told I could get free delivery next time I order from them even though they offer free delivery as I live so close and I collect it anyway. He was very rude to me and then continued to say thank you for your order half way through the conversation to try and end the phone call. I am disgusted by this and will not be going back here again. This place needs some serious education in health and safety and in food hygiene standards. They do not have a clue!!

absolutely disgusting this place!!! Gone down hill since this place has been taken over! tonight we ordered two Linguine pomodoro, when we recieved the pasta it had cheese all over the top of it... doesn't mention this on the menu. When we phoned to tell them we spoke to the Manager who was very rude and dismissive telling us all the chefs have gone home and there is nothing they can do. we asked for a refund and the 'Manager' said he can't process a refund? are you ok hun. my partner went in to pick up the order and noticed their Health and Safety Certificate, Liability Insurance and Pest control ran out 3 years ago 🤮🤮 He said the pasta always has cheese in it... well if thats the case why isn't this displayed on the menu... my partner can't eat cheese and it's a good job this wasn't an allergic matter... Couldn't eat the pasta because they couldn't state a Dairy ingredient on the menu which is a legal requirement... My partner is a qualified chef who creates menu's as a job but he was just dismissing the whole issue... Rude, Rude, Rude... Been coming here for years, never again.

So pleased to get back to one of our favourite local restaurants. New owners and now bring your own alcohol. Beautiful fresh food - sea food risotto was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Get back here everyone!! Can’t wait for our next visit.

Opting for something different on a Friday night . Wow I didn’t regret it . The king prawns starter was amazing only one small toast served with it , but hey ho that’s probably a good thing lol 😂 might annoy a bigger eater or someone sharing , lovely fresh chilli taste and four massive prawns in there . The seafood pasta main was massive enough for two portions not as packed with ingredients but enough to be passable . Yes I spent £23 on myself on a Friday after work and no I do not regret it . Waited 15 minutes for this fresh and healthy meal . Well impressed . Flavours absolutely perfect and I am fussy with my Italian food 10/10 .

We went to La Bella last evening. It has recently been taken over by a lovely family who can’t do enough for you. It’s bring your own alcohol which is great, with a choice of mocktails if you prefer. Excellent friendly service. Lovely thin well cooked pizza in a relaxed atmosphere. Will be visiting again.

Absolutely disgusting service. Visited today taking advantage of the eat out to help out. . Table booked for 6 received our starter at 7:30. Ordered a vegetarian risotto it came at 08:10 with chicken in. Despite not being able to cope with people already inside...

The staff are very friendly I would recommend it and every one who goes has a choice of delicious food and they also have a children’s menu

This is the best Italian in Oldham. The food is gorgeous and fresh. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and will do anything to accommodate you. I always look forward to visting as it is really the best.

Recently been here. Came at about 5, no one else there. Starters OK. Mains terrible, carbonara was oily and spicy, canneloni grey on bottom, meat dry and vinegary. Kids meals nice. Didn't feel like staying for dessert, ended up feeling nauseous.

Yet again an evening of FABULOUS food and BRILLIANT service from Pepe & friends yes I call them friends. We went on Valentines w/end and yet again we weren't disappointed, great food & excellent service from ALL the staff at La Bella. What an absolutely brilliant night, fantastic food and fantastic service. Just got in from la Bella, I have to say what a gem in lees , the place was full ,but found a table very quickly , the management and staff first class , even though I had my granddaughter with us nothing was to much trouble for them , the food was unbelievable,well presented and very quickly served , very attentive manager making show everything was to our liking , so impressed was my family booked for Xmas eve , no rip of prices ! Just great food , can’t praise this restaurant enough , please please try it you won’t be dissolved, thank you la Bella ,first class food and staff ❤️

Well came here on a sunday for a meal and it was amazing again you get 2 courses for under 12 pound the food was fresh beautiful and staff again were amazing would recommend this to any one well done again the standards are getting better everytime

Visiting my family in Oldham I am from Montreal Canada,My first visit in the restaurant was with my sister and we loved it,The Staff are so friendly Pablo is amazing,The decor is beautiful The is excellent.Then the last night I was there we went back with all the family,They all make you feel at home.IWould recommend the restaurant to all.Thank you all again for you lovely service I will be back next time I visit my family.

It's been a restaurant we've been to regularly in the past, with great nights, we went about 18 months ago and the atmosphere had changed they'd got a new head waiter and everything was so rushed even the owner looked guilty spoiled the night because the food was still great. But we went the other week and what joy Paulo was back (the head waiter) and everything was back to normal the food was great the atmosphere was brilliant again. The whole night was fantastic great. we'll be going back at least once a month from now on. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

It always feels like a special occasion going here, especially in the upstairs room. The greeting is friendly and professional and the food is always good. There's a new menu which looks nice but, disappointingly, doesn't feature a vegetarian pasta option. I'm sure they'd make whatever dish you asked for, but it would be nice to feel catered for without having to ask. Maybe some of the pasta and pizza dishes could be updated to say there's a veggie option of it available. Or to add a couple of old simple favourites such as spaghetti arrabbiata or pesto.

As soon as we walked in we got a warm welcome and showed to our seats, we was offered drinks promptly. The food we had tasted great, I had carbonara which was beautiful and creamy, with plenty of flavour. We all enjoyed ourselves and where pleasantly surprised by our experience :)

My Partner and I went here for an evening meal on Easter Bank Holiday Monday and we had a lovely 2 course meal.

Went here just before xmas with family who attend here alot got to say the starter of chicken liver pate was decent but the main of champange chicken was bland and tastless . Another down point was the waiter hovering over us for most of the night dont mind them asking how the meal is but dont go out to be watched while eating...

Went here a saturday evening without a booking. We were surprised that there was only one table occupied. I asked for glass of Chardonnay but the only wine sold by the glass was the house wine which was drinkable but not what I wanted. We ordered garlic bread to share which was dry and we asked for olive oil for it. The two main meals were ok but nothing special just average. Quite bland. The service was good and prices reasonable. When we left there were only another 2 tables occupied so there was no atmosphere at all.

My boyfriend and I went as a last minute booking and we were glad we did. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. The service was wonderful from the 2 young ladies who attended to our table. The food was delicious.....definitely tey the gnocchi!

We have not been to La Bella for a year, we went on an impulse on the Saturday before Christmas Eve with our grandaughter who was over for Christmas from Denmark. It was up to its usual high standard, the service is friendly and pleasant. There is a varied menu with prices from low to high. We were delighted with the meal it was hot and served very quickly. Can't wait to return.

The place seemed nice and welcoming at first as we were shown to our table and offered drinks straight away. However, it all went downhill after we were sat waiting to order our food for 30 mins, whilst watching two tables behind us order their food having both arrived after us. The food then took another 45 mins. The sharing plater starter arrived which was niceish. The garlic bread was tasteless but it was ok when smothered in meatball sauce. The olives were gorgeous but the calamari was a let down as it tasted like it was straight out of a packet in the freezer. Finally, the mains came but unfortunately they were wrong. The waitress then offered to correct it and put my food under the ‘light’ whilst my boyfriends was being prepared for the second time, which tbh didn’t sound very appetising at all. We ordered another wine and waited patiently for around another 20 mins for the wine the arrive. The mains then arrived and they were awful. I’ve never not enjoyed an italian meal but it was obviously not fresh and was very tasteless. I attempted to eat it whilst waiting for a waiter to come along so I could ask for a spoon but no waiters came to even check if the meal was all right, so I got up to look for a spoon myself. Luckily a kind fellow customer sat on a table of four next to me passed me a spoon whilst also referring to their meal as ‘s***’. We then asked for the bill which took around another 15 mins. £50 in total the bill came to for around 3 mouthfuls of each meal. The waiter/manager (wasn’t sure who he was) did come over to apologise about the service and told us it was due to it being nye. I would have expected at least a discounted price seen as though we could barely touch the mains but sadly this was not offered. Very, very disappointed as i was looking forward to a nice nye meal which was sadly not the case. One positive that I will mention is that our waitress was very friendly, but that’s about it. Oh, and the wine was nice! Although we wont be coming back again, rip off.

I’ve visited here before and loved it so thought I’d come again with my husband and again it offered an all round 10/10, the food service and atmosphere was amazing. The food is brill and I personally love linguine Alfredo, the chicken is to a high standard (there’s a lot of that dodgy chicken about that tastes like rubber or is ‘reformed’. But no it was brill, thanks guys

We had cannelloni, yum, yum and piping hot. Lovely staff. We are not local but may return when we attend a dance in a nearby church hall.

I had canivore pizza and it was delicious, i was a bit hesitant as i was scared the meat wouldn't be up to scrach but it deffinitley was. Really enjoyed my self thank you :)

I had the chefs special lamb and it was absolutely gorgeous, I’ve never tasted anything so good I 100% recommend and me and my friends will definitely be visiting again soon. We saw the Thursday tapas night advertised in the Saddleworth Monthly magazine. We hadn't booked but were welcomed by the waiters who could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed the evening. Tapas was of a high quality with fantastic flavours.....mussels gorgeously big and quantity of food was perfect!! Atmosphere of restaurant was great and service spot on!

Visited with two teenage sons on bank holiday weekend. Variety of food ordered garlic breads, chicken skewers, meatball special starter, steaks, pastas, tiramisu, sticky toffee sponge, chocolate gateaux. Every single dish was outstanding!! We had a great time as the lovely staff were also a big part in making our experience as wonderful as it was. Can't wait for the next time!!

We have frequented la Bella over the last 12 months and I have been remiss not to upload a review. Fantastic family restaurant with simply excellent service. My little boy is 4 and always feels comfortable , as the downstairs dining in particular is conducive for young families. The service is outstanding !!!!! The food is beautiful and, this evening my dad said he had the best linguini he has ever had !!!!Thank you for being a fantastic family local restaurant X

The three of us went to celebrate my wife's birthday. The venue was spotlessly clean. The service was excellent. The food was truly deliciously. A chance mention of my wife's birthday, and a complimentary ice cream arrived with candle!Overall, very strongly recommended. We certainly WILL return.

Second visit for me whilst in the area to see family. Four of us had the weekday meal deal including a bottle of wine. Excellent value for money and delicious! The staff are very friendly too.

We booked last minute and got a table not been before and was pleasantly suprised nice place nice staff lovely food fair pricing good portions we had a nice meal and a couple of drinks all in all lovely evening.

Service was slow toilet adequate disabled access ok and they have tables downstairs as well as upstairs they have wifi and will give you connection password if you ask for it they have high chairs for babies although on our visit there was baby crying throughout our meal we came at 5pm and it was after 7pm before we got our main meals I had a starter of garlic bread but don't recommend this as it was only a cheap pizza base with a bit of cheese on for £4.55 and totally not worth it although my main was very nice and really enjoyed the salmon and prawns dish but thought it was pricey but Italian is more expensive than other places presentation of the meal could have been better for the price as I would expect that but my meal tasted good and the veg served with my meal were very nicely cooked and flavour was good. Two of my party ordered carbonara and had way to much oil on it they do like there food swimming in it! So those meals were not enjoyable and half left ! But we were a big party to serve and I was undecided between 3 stars and 4 stars on this occasion as parts were very good and parts need improvement

Me and my family visited this restaurant on a weekend evening. The food was very fresh & extremely delicious. We all enjoyed the evening .... very much impressed with customer service...keep it up La Bella.

I've been here 3 or 4 times with the family now as my mum really likes it, however myself and my partner have found it to be quite hit and miss depending on when we go.I have had lamb shank twice here, the first time it was lovely, the second time the portion was much smaller and very fatty and my partner's was the same. We have had the paté and the soup starters and really enjoyed both. However, last time we went was on a Sunday and we had their special 3 course meal. My partner and myself both order the roast beef dinner as it was recommended by the waiter, but when it came the meat was like something you'd get on a school dinner! We were really disappointed. The waiter took our dessert order before we'd had our starters, but some of us didn't know whether we'd want one after lunch so we asked if we could order it later, which he said was fine. Straight after our main plates were taken he brought the desserts of the people that had ordered and walked off! Having worked in a restaurant in the past, I found this to be incredibly bad service. Once our desserts had arrived others had finished. He got my grandad'a order wrong (which I heard him order) and seemed annoyed at him saying that wasn't what he ordered. I think there are better value Italians with better service in the area and won't be returning here any time soon.

My young daughter and her boyfriend visited tonight and we're really looked after by La Bella. Great food as always!

Another fantastic evening at La Bella !!Even though it was extremely busy , the service was great and the food was amazing again ！Thanks to Nicholas and the staff for looking after us so well and making us all feel so welcome as usual !Can't wait to come back

This place is a little gem! A party of seven of us went to celebrate my sons birthday. The staff were welcoming and friendly and enjoyed the fact that one of our party could speak Italian. The food was delicious and plentiful and was served in good time. We all had either pizza or pasta dishes, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed. The two birthday boys were treated to a dessert topped with a candle, thought this was a lovely touch. Definitely a restaurant worthy of a visit, you will not be disappointed. We will be returning!

Waited a long time for someone to find us a table staff just walked past and ignored us for 10-15 minutes. When we did get a table it took ages for drinks to come and orders to be taken. When we go out food the pizza wasn't cooked in the middle and pasta was tasteless. A few hours after visiting I started to feel very ill. Definitely the last time I will visit here.

We went to La Bella between Christmas and New Year, what a delightful experience. Everyone in our party of 5 had a different meal, each person was delighted with their choice. Particularly the pizza which was brilliant packed full of various meats, a meat feast to rival all others - superb. The waiter was great and we were made to feel really special. Highly recommended for a family occasion.

Just come home from La Bella in Lees, near Oldham, after a meal out for a family birthday. My 1st visit there but will definitely go back, food was delicious and filling, I'm stuffed!! Also great value, good special deals, check them out.

Went to La Bella for the first time recently. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel very welcome by the very attentive, friendly staff. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and is really quite authentic. The food was fabulous, very tasty and the portions were extremely generous and all at a very reasonable price. Can't wait to go again and would strongly recommend giving it a try
