Sweet Obsession in Oldham

The staff are incredibly rude and have no sense of customer service. When I tried to address an issue, instead of listening, they were dismissive and unprofessional. The owner got involved, and rather than handling the situation properly, they became aggressive, closed the door in my face, and refused to hear me out. Absolutely vile behavior—this is no way to treat customers! I would never return and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Awful customer service! The staff were extremely rude, standing around and talking about customers instead of doing their jobs. When I confronted them about their behavior, they were dismissive and disrespectful. I asked them to drop their attitude, but instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner got involved and started on me. Completely unacceptable way to treat customers—I won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Desserts are an excellent place to order from here Alhamdulillah, any problems encountered are swiftly rectified and sorted out promptly. Will definitely order again. JazakAllah

The matilda cake was nice. Pink tea aswell but not a fan of the bits inside it.

Milkshake was nice but they didn’t send any straws so I had a very sticky face/moustache after it, would order again though

Staff were so patient with the kids. Even let the toddler try as many ice cream samples as she wanted (4). The lil ones really enjoyed their desserts. Very reasonably priced too. Recommend the brownie and ice cream

Overall I waited nearly two hours for the food, it was about half an hour late. In addition to this it was cold and the chocolate wasn’t even melted..

I've been to loads of different dessert places but for high quality desserts this is the best place

Hygienically they should be abit careful while delivering food as they deliver the milkshake holding in their hand in no tray or bag.

This place is great for families and friends would totally recommend going for any occasion. I love going to sweet obsession it's my favourite dessert place and the only one I go too

Very soft and fluffy banoffee waffle with kulfi ice cream. Peanut butter stack with delicious, too, with mint ice cream.

Waffle was over cooked and hard, ordered the one with cookie dough, but couldn’t find any… second time ordering and both times disappointing.

I asked for just sugar doughnuts I got plain no sugar nothing put still charged me for topping . The milkshake gone off milkshake disgusting. asked for bubble milkshake with no millions because my my son allergic to it . phoned them complaint absolutely horrible behaviour. quality gone down hill. I have ordered many times no issues but this time was shocking behaviour the staff need some work on customer service. I will never go back to that place again .

Dry and Taste less But expensive!! Place was quite a hyped seen lot of customers in, however food is below average and expensive compared to other desserts places in Manchester. We ordered Biscoff waffles and ice cream, cookie dough and ice cream and Biscoff milk shake. The waffle had hardly any biscoff syrup , cookie dough portion size was small for its price but was okay around taste. Only good was the Milk shake it was really nice but kids didn’t not enjoy the waffle or cookie dough.

Enjoyed the fresh banana shake, super thick & tasty, but the doughnuts were something else! Arrived hot and definitely the best ring doughnuts I have ever had, hands down. Left K.Krm & Tim Hor in a cloud of dust!

I had a terrible experience at Sweet Obsession today. I ordered a cone with strawberry ice cream and a few other items, including the kulfi falooda, which shockingly had no falooda sauce. To make matters worse, when the server noticed the strawberry ice cream was nearly finished, he tried to give me raspberry instead without even asking. This was completely unacceptable! The service was incredibly slow, and the staff was really rude. I will definitely not be visiting this place again. Worst experience ever.

I was utterly devastated to learn that my favourite item on the menu had drastically been reduced in size this item was the freak waffles this item was once a delicacy that fellow freaks consumed but now the waffle isn’t the only freak thing this item is a whopping £12 previously it was 12cm in diameter now it is a measly 5cm in diameter and the price has changed me and other freaks are disappointed and call for change the freak waffle needs to be returned to its former glory I shall not shop at this establishment anymore until me and the other freaks are satisfied

nutella Waffle barely has any nutella and few strawberries. very stingy with the chocolate, quality gone down, not how it used to be.

Ice cream and cookie dough. Is what it is

Purchased a milk chocolate cookie dough was a horrible cheap chocolate sauce on it probably from home bargains the cookie dough itself tasted foul it tasted sour as they had put too much baking powder or soda inside it 0/10 waste of money

Ice cream was missing off the order to go with the waffle. Pointless ringing to resolve as the food needed eating. Disappointing!

i was missing one of the ice creams out of my order so if i could get a refund for it i would appreciate it

The apple crumble was uncooked mushy and inedible. The cake was stale and dry. Both had to be thrown away. The strawberry ice was okay and water is water. But all round very disappointed. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want food poising.

Ordered a takeaway from here. Got apple crumble and custard and salted caramel cake. Below is a picture of the "apple crumble and custard". It looks disgusting like it wasn't cooked properly and someone tried to hide it with custard. The salted caramel cake is okay. But I don't trust it. I'm genuinely confused as to why they sent me this? I will not be ordering from here again and DO NOT recommend it at all.

My order came to £26 - I gave them £20 in cash and they then proceeded to charge me another £16 on my card - 27.06.24

Visited along with family members to have ice-cream, Falooda and few more items. Everything was good but dining hall was very noisy. It had been a bit of irritating atmosphere. Recommended that customers to please avoid shouting and laughing louder to avoid disturbing others...

Best cookie dough weve had. Collected from the restaurant. Very nice place, good vibe too. Staff are very good! Can't wait to go back to try the rest.

absolutely one of my favourite desert shops, travel around 40 minutes just to come here for a treat every now and again. large selection and even when the shop is busy your not waiting too long for your order. 100% recommend if you have a sweet tooth

The prices keep increasing but the portion sizes keep getting smaller. im a regular customer for past 10 yrs and each time i order the Waffles they are very thin and small with hardly any nutella or toppings, stop being stingy with the portions or lower the prices. need to find a new dessert place this place is taking the mick! Not happy

Find the staff alittle rude and quite ignorant. The desserts are okay probably a little to sweet sometimes.

I find the owners sad as they have blocked off their surroundings land which makes it difficult to park and access the ice cream parlour but the deserts are spot on and very reasonably priced

In 2 minds with this place, nice decor maybe a bit too much..reasonably priced just feel like it's a replica of high end dessert shops..don't feel the uniqueness having said that my dessert, ferrero rocher waffle was very nice and sweet, lindor milkshake was too thick needed stirring all the way home for it to able to have it properly and the ice pan was 🆗 bits of flavoured ice!

Rubbish just ordered a chocolate cake with mint custard. Thought it would be good but no they served me chocolate cake with normal custard mixed with green food colouring like I wouldn't notice. On the side of the box still have some colouring left which hadn't been mixed properly. Absolutely disgrace for a dessert place. HORRID EXPERIENCE!!!

Only had deliveries buy the desserts are AMAZING!!! we've also had various milkshakes also. Very very tasty and leave you wanting more would highly recommend

Late delivery. Desserts that were meant to be hot were cold, and ice cream had melted!

Everything was almost perfect. The strawberry cheesecake that we ordered was the thinnest slice given for the price paid. All the other desserts and portions were spot on just that one thin slice was a little bit more of downer.

The desert was 50/50 in taste, service is very bad.they served food very rudely, no eye contact, or a word. just left the desert on table.. their was hair in my waffle when i told them they took the plate awy and didn't came back to ask what i want and bring me half fresh waffle back and the way they put the plate on table was very rude i didnt even asked them to give me new just told them their is hair i hate the way they treated because i didnt said a word i just told them. I ordered ice-cream with waffle and when they took old and bought new didnt gave my ice-cream back strange....

I can’t review the physical place as I ordered a take away. Good points are that the delivery was quick. I ordered ice cream and cookie dough and a milkshake, usually order from elsewhere but it was closed so tried here. The ice cream, cookie dough and milkshake just tasted of pure sugar. No other taste than that. Obviously desserts have a sugary taste but this was literally just sugar. Couldn’t even taste the chocolate sauce it was that bland. No other flavours to the food. A day after, I’m unwell. I can only assume it was from here. Won’t be ordering again unfortunately.

Second time in a row item missing, I put a not saying there were things missing last time please make sure everything is in the bag. Guess what they miss one of the item. How hard is it to put 5 items in a bag.

Best desert bar in town, comfortable seating and relaxed atmosphere.

No issues at all with the food however the delivery driver was exceptionally rude, told me it wasn’t his job to deliver to the door (was on the wrong side of the whole building). I tried to explain I had no shoes on so couldn’t come out to meet him. He repeatedly told me it wasn’t his job and his whole attitude as a delivery driver was appalling. I will not be again just in case I get the same delivery driver. Such a shame as the food was nice!
