Fresca in Oldham

I used to go there in the past and food was better ,but yesterday took the grandkids ,and the food was very disappointing for 130 pounds .I had penne pollo Di fungio which had 3 small pieces of chicken ,spaggeti was not cooked properly(i had pasta not penne) drenched in wat felt like 2 kg of salt and drenched in a brown sauce with lots of mushrooms, wen the menu says chicken cream and mushrooms and wine why does it turn out brown?,my wife had carbonara ,also very salty,spaggeti very hard,and again very brown, bear in mind we didnt it meant to b white pasta, i thought carbonara meant to be creamy white, and ended up eating a lot of garlic bread ,which was also very soggy, very dissapointing overall will not be returning in that restaurant again.staff were good,there wen u need them ,,

It was a great meal with the family, The food was lovely and the service was great. I highly recommend it if you like Italian food.

Excellent dinner menu with the food first class. Our first visit and it will certainly not be our last. Staff did an excellent job in what was a very busy Saturday evening

The lasagne was nice wasn’t mince beef but nice The penne pollo el fungi was delicious also The chips where not the best will try fries nice time but both pasta dishes were really good will be returning

One of my favourite restaurants. Always very attentive, food is delicious and perhaps the best of all these guys are always seeking to improve everything to make the customer dining experience even better.

First visions definitely won’t be the last! Fabulous service and the menu choice was very varied. We opted for one of the set menu deals which were excellent value at £24 for 3 course courses of delicious and fresh ingredients which were cooked to perfection! Ample portion size’s meant my partner very reluctantly left some on his plate ( unusual for him). Had wine which was reasonably priced and of good standard! Pleasant and professional service from staff ensured a thoroughly enjoyable experience

Booked a table on fathers day for 3 of us. Was a late booking and was told they could fit us in which was great. Weve been regulars for over 10 years to this place and never had a bad meal. Its abit pricier than most places but i always say you get what you pay for. We arrived and was sat down by staff who were really nice. We ordered 1 kids pizza for a 7 year old. A salad with fries and a meat pizza and with fries for me. The food arrived quickly. Kids pizza wasnt very appealing with 1 piece of pepperoni on each slice (4 slices in total). My mums salad looked nice. She also said it was nice. The portion of fries were abit stingy. My pizza was to say the least, not worth £14. It was meant to have chicken, ham, pepperoni and beef on. It had very little on!! Also the size was about an inch bigger the kids pizza. I raised the issue with the waiter who spoke with another member of staff who came to the table to ask if everything was OK. I highlighted that i was underwhelmed with my pizza and asked if he thought it was worth the £14 ... he said he thought it was!!!!... which i was shocked at to be honest. He did ask if i wanted anything else to which i said no and eat the pizza, as the taste was actually nice. Just lacking in size and toppings. My 7 year old wanted a dessert so i ordered the hot chocolate fudge cake. It arrived and was the size of my thumb. I understand the cost of things have increased but i just feel like ive been taken for a ride!! The whole meal cost me £55. Such a shame when i was expecting the usual quality meal. One thing is for sure, i wont be returning. I think i will change to Sorella when i want an italian from now on. 2 stars because the food tasted nice. See if you feel my pizza is worth £14 it cost by looking at the picture...

Sad to say I don't think we will return. Seems to have gone down hill over the last couple of years. Standards have definitely dropped. Used to be 5/5 every time (and we have been probably 25 times) but our last couple of visits have been disappointing. Calamari was soft and floppy and served with tartar sauce rather than aioli and the salmon pasta had so much lemon in it was virtually inedible. Such a shame because it's a nice place and staff are decent, however the food needs to return to a better standard.

Always the best steak ever. I compare other restaurants steaks against Fresca & have never had one as good as theirs. We are lucky to live within easy walking distance so no problem with having a drink.

Food was lovely but despite the restaurant being near empty, staff were not attentive and service was slow and we had to chase for both food and drinks that were ordered but failed to arrive

Great food as always. The service and atmosphere great too. Fresca is the perfect venue for a get together whatever the occasion.

Today we had a outstanding meal. The service was fabulous. This place is a hidden gem. The restaurant is so stylish and on trend.

The food here is fab, the staff are lovely . It does get a bit noisy as it fills up think that's the building construction. The Tiramisu is perfect

Had a great evening at this restaurant. Located at the front of a small industrial estate but don't let that put you off the surroundings are still nice. There is plenty of parking. Food, drink etc was fantastic , best chicken arrabata I have had in a long time. Staff were great and helped us set up the table for our friends Birthday as well as bringing the cake we had bought to the table with candles etc . Make it what you want, an informal visit or a special occasion out . .

We came in today for my grandma’s birthday. We love it here and always go to Fresca for special occasions. The service was lovely, I didn’t get the persons name but they were very welcoming and very professional. It’s a shame I couldn’t say the same about the head chef. Omg what a horrid man! Couldn’t enjoy the celebration and meal as all we could hear is the chef shouting, swearing and belittling the chefs. He was literally bullying the chefs! I know how a kitchen works and I know how chefs work as my partner is a head chef. The way he spoke to the “Team” was disgusting and I don’t know how the kitchen staff are still there! It was even worse as customers could hear the full thing! The owner needs to have a word with the HC as his attitude, behaviour, professionalism and manner was awful towards the kitchen and that shouldn’t be happening anywhere! No respect what so ever, and to top it off he has the cheek to say to one of the other chefs you aren’t showing me much respect today… do you wonder why ask yourself that question! Disappointed.

Unexpectedly nice from the inside, given the location on an industrial site; service is very polite, allergens well taken care of (gluten free in particular). Taste is acceptable, with the carbonara considerably better than anything based on the rather bland tomato sauce. Particularly good value for money on the children's items.

Whilst the food and staff are very good, sadly the venue still suffers from excessive noise due to its low ceiling and hard surfaces. Sensory overload may curtail your enjoyment.

proper good spot, you can tell people here have genuine passion and care for what they do. the whole visit was near faultless, i will say its not cheap at all but its absolutely worth it, some of the nicest food ive had. bloody lovely, looking forward to going back

Simply excellent, though portions (undererstandably in a recession) have got smaller. They seem to be using less sugar and salt in the cooking which is not a bad thing. Deserves lots of support as a local long standing venture.simply brilliant. Good staff.

Had a lovely meal with the family on Friday night. I had the seafood risotto which was excellent with a bottle of Italian montepulciano which was alo delicious. It gets very noisy, so hard to hold conversation across a large round table would be my only negative.

Not up to their usual standards, they had overbooked and the result was a noisy restaurant with slow and unusually poor service. Greed is an unfortunate driver in business, it's just lost my loyalty.

Lovely place, huge menu. I was expecting wood fired when I saw the oven. But it was gas. Not the biggest pizza, not the most topping. But still a 7/¹⁰ pizza. Great staff. Would go again if in the area. Lovely pub round the corner too. Well done Fresca.

5/5 The food was delicious, but more importantly, the service was absolutely outstanding. I have an allergy, which usually makes me feel silly or like I'm making a fuss. The servers and the chef took it really seriously but handled it in a very sensitive way. I had the bruscetta followed by the duck. It was delicious. It's a bit weird arriving at this restaurant being in an industrial estate, but it was well worth it. Would recommend.

We had a meal with for 7 including 3 children and the food was delicious. The whole group were very happy with the food from calamari to meatballs. Pizza and burgers. Service was great and plenty of staff around to help when needed. Only slight down side is the overall prices seem on the expensive side but this wouldn't stop me from visiting again.

This is a gorgeous restaurant..VERY family friendly.. And the food is to die for .. I had the liver starter and Salmon main.. Strawberry and cream tart FINISHED me off.. WONDERFUL 💞

Spectacular! We’ve been visiting this restaurant for the last 3 years. Absolutely fantastic in every way. The staff are amazing, top service every visit. The staff really care and go out of their way to make you feel welcome! Always a great atmosphere, and it’s the best meal we’ve ever had, every single visit! Just gets better and better! The food is absolutely to die for, the chef’s do a sensational job in the kitchen. Every meal is packed full of gorgeous flavour and a good size portion we always come away feeling absolutely stuffed! Fantastic quality. Best restaurant hands down, we’d always choose a meal here over anywhere in town, this little Italian in the heart of Delph has more to offer than anywhere in town! We live in Manchester and we would choose a drive up here any day over anywhere else. Definitely recommend a visit to anyone and everyone. Real hidden gem, Sean and the whole team do a quality job! Can’t wait for our next meal.

Went for date day lunch today. 26/01/2023 No heating, the place was so cold the waitress had her sleeves pulled over her hands!! Service was not good. We were a table of 2 and there was only one other table of 2!! Definitely not acceptable so off our list of places. Just when for lunch today 14/12/2022 and were told they are closed!!! would be helpful if this has been put on here!!!! So reduced to 3 star. We have wasted an hour and fuel. 16/11/2022. Just had a fantastic three course lunch, wine, coffee. Everything was perfect, the food. the atmosphere and the brilliant staff. So thoughtful, one of party was feeling unwell so they boxed his main course to take home. Will definitely be going back.

My pizza was child size and not allot of toppings ! Will not return . Disappointed to say the least !

Beautiful family Birthday celebration for 12 Complimentary garlic bread which was a lovely surprise. Meal outstanding as always. Friendly staff Top class chef A really lovely evening enjoy by us all. Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience every time

We had more been for a while due to circumstances and its just as good as it always was. Twice this month so far and the food has been fantastic, service also excellent.

Great food and lots of staff who ensure you get a great meal and great service. The acoustics are bad and there were 5 of us and we couldn't hear each other which is a shame as this will put us off going back. The food was that good however, that I might not be able to resist.

The food is amazing. The service was good. The only downfall is the noise when it gets busy, you can't really hear yourself speak and it seems very canteeny. Will still visit again though as the food is so good.

Always lovely food consistently good quality, pleasant atmosphere although can echo when a few people in as it is a big space staff knowledgeable and helpfully always attentive

Excellent food and service, the only criticism would be the chicken Fresca was a little salty for my taste, Mushrooms were alongside, and the mushroom risotto was just a tad mushroom overload. The fillet steak was excellent. The staff and service was impeccable.

Could do with some sound deadening panels on the ceiling, the industrial feel of the place makes it feel cold and open rather than the warm, inviting and homely nature of an Italian restaurant that I had been expecting.

The area is a bit strange as it's more of an industrial estate so it does throw you off but inside is nice and looks like a normal restaurant the staff are pleasant food was decent with quite large portions

Unusual location but once inside it is well laid out as in the tables are well spaced out , the service and food were top notch and reasonably priced A good night out !

Average Italian very noisy even when half full service wasn't great

Sadly the food served was still raw / burgers not cooked. Its a shame as it spoilt a birthday meal. Venue nice but if they can't cook a burger it's time to give up and be avoided !

Awful place! Reminded me of a workplace canteen. Came here with my wife for a meal. Unable to hold a conversation without shouting due to the appalling accoustics in the place. Cutlery brought out in works canteen style pot. Prices similar to good quality restaurants but that's where the comparison ends. Everything else in a level with the local greasy spoon cafe except the prices. Would

Soggy pasta uninteresting pizza. I've had better food from Bella Italia. The chicken liver was well cooked but spoiled by being smothered in sauce. On the plus side the waiters are hard working and very attentive

Staff very friendly and polite but the food was not that good I ordered a calzone and when it arrived it was over cooked and a bit hard. Atmosphere was nice and the place was busy. But I don't think I will be returning.

Asked for a smaller portion of ravioli, although very nice there was only two ravioli on the plate covered in a good sauce.
