The best restaurants serving Italian food in Bolton North West

We have the privilege of living close to this restaurant so visit regularly.The food is always delicious, fresh and piping hot.The garlic bread is AMAZING. The portion sizes are very generous too. I just wish I had a bigger stomach to be able to fit more than one course in!!

i have eaten here so many times and always had great food and service. Our latest visit i ordered the broccoli soup (way better than it sounds) and it came as a large hot steaming bowl with lightly toasted bread and tasted wonderful. I then had lemon soul not as stated on the menu as i do like my fish pan fried with just a bit of lemon. Antonio never has a problem with me asking for dishes to be altered to my own taste. Always a warm welcome and great food is assured from the team

4 of us enjoyed an evening dinner, each choosing different meals. Following my belief that the true test of any kitchen is how well basic dishes are created, I chose linguini in bolognaise sauce. Perfection. Those eating with me enjoyed their choice of dishes. Suggestion from my wife, who shared a starter with me: an option for smaller portions for mains would be appreciated. Well organised and extremely pleasant front of house team, did the kitchen team proud.

We chose the French toast, it was OK, but there was hardly any mascarpone and half a strawberry sliced, nothing like the picture on their website. The salmon and scrambled eggs was also OK, but the person dishing out the plates is very inconsistent with portions as we got hardly any salmon and a small portion of egg, where as another table got double the amount of both salmon and egg! The crepes were nice. Sadly we wouldn't return for food, there are much better places to go.

Good food and friendly service. This is a busy restaurant so telephone to book ahead. Very good value for money. We would eat here again.

Very quiet on a Thursday at 7.30pm, only 2 other tables ( of 4 and 2 people). The food was very fresh and hot, friendly female owner. Very good value for money on the Groupon voucher for a three course meal. My only negative was that on my calabrese pizza there was excessive diced onion which was only just cooked and we weren't offered parmazan for our starters or pasta.

Instead off going out we decided to have takeout from La Scarla Restautant, We had Brushchetta with the most amazingly sauce, to follow Cannelloni with Garlic Bread it was amazing would highly recommend very reasonable prices Very satisfied Ruth Clarke

Had a great meal at this restaurant. Good quality food and atmosphere. Service was excellent. Based on our experience we would recomend this restaurant .

Booked last minute , they squeezed us in and we were glad they did. Haven't been here for some while but really enjoyed our food, the Ridgeway special was fabulous, so much meat and a lovely dianne sauce. Staff were great even though they had 2 party's going on. Well done and thank you.

Only people in on a Friday evening -very strange. Waiter did his best to make us feel comfortable but it was odd being the only ones there. Although food was good the vegetables included with the meal were very sparse. We would certainly have ordered more had we realised how little we were getting. There was also quite a long wait between courses -certainly wasn't due to the chef being busy! Overall a good meal though.

Passavo di lì quando sento profumo di pesce , e non conoscendo il posto sono entrato quella sera in cerca di qualcosa da mangiare. Sono andato via con: una bella porzione di fritture miste di pesce (il pesce spada? Inaspettato) , e un ancora più inaspettato arancino con i gamberetti che .. 5 stelle subito XD

Absolutely delicious food, offering a great service, with lots of different, and healthy choices as well as the usual pies, sausage rolls - all home made I believe. A definite return for us
