Lovely service - friendly and helpful. Really good food. Found ourselves in Bolton and tbh there aren't alot of places to choose from but this is a gem of a place. It was very busy though so book. Parking close by.

My wife and I called in for Lunch on a Thursday, we hadn't booked but we were warmly welcomed. Restaurant has a warm and welcoming ambience, tastefully decorated and very clean. I did notice staff constantly cleaning when not engaged with other duties, always a good sign! Table was comfortable and decent amount of space between tables, there is nothing worse than to feel cramped and short on space when dining. Shown to our table by a charming waitress, good range of food choices on Lunch menu - chose a garlic and chilli bread starter to share, it was outstanding, my wife chose Tagliatelle with prawns and chorizo, I chose penne arabiata . Food arrived promptly, was served hot and beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and there were many options to chose from on a future visit Would visit again without hesitation, a small and welcoming refuge in Bolton Town centre, a comforting reminder of better times. A place to remember and to create new memories.

We visited for dinner on a Friday night and it was definitely necessary to reserve a table as the restaurant seems to be very popular with locals. We both enjoyed our meal and the service was both professional and pleasant.

We don't use this restaurant very often but when we do we always enjoy it a lot. It can get busy at certain times so I would recommend making a reservation in advance to be safe. On this occasion we both went for steaks which were good quality and nicely cooked. My Rossini was particularly good and we had the choice of Vegetables, potatoes and chips so went for one of each. They have a decent wine list and the service is, friendly and professional. The restaurant attracts an eclectic bunch of people and has a really nice laid-back atmosphere.

We visited today early evening with my son and 8 yr old granddaughter and had absolutely the best time the food was fantastic and the portions are huge but in a great way as everything we ate was delicious.in fact its very difficult to choose!the restaurant was busy but at no point did we feel rushed even though it was a Friday night. but what really made me smile and my granddaughter was the absolutely excellent service such a relaxed and friendly place im really looking forward to visiting again very soon with my family

What a fantastic evening. My husband and I both had the fillet steak,perfection on a plate it was so tasty and so were the sides. Been here many times, a hidden gem. Great atmosphere and lovely attentive staff 10 out 10 keep up the great dishes.

We stumbled across this while out as a family group of 9. The staff were super attentive and the food was prompt and delicious. Our meal was one of the best I have experienced in the last few years eating out in the Uk and overseas. I would highly recommend this place. I had the tagliatelle docelatte 👌 The Italian wines were very nice also.

We have been visiting Ciao Napoli for years and is always our go to! From our the children being toddlers to now in their teens and this is their fave Italian. Lovely little place, really cosy, cost effective, attentive staff who always make you feel welcome! By far the best food around, fresh and tasty!

Nipped in here last week, and despite being a cosy small place they always manage to do their best to fit us in for a table. Food is always delicious, this time the kids had pizza which they all loved, I had the chicken dish which was delicious and the steak looked great too. Always pleasantly surprised when the bill arrives and never feel I’m waiting at all when I need any service. Great little place for a really authentic bit of food, best in Bolton in my opinion.

We had ordered the Christmas menu 9 persons - we booked for 12-30 lunch. We were told on arrival that the roast potatoes weren't cooked and would be 90 mins ! He offered us chips instead ! The Turkey was dry and no flavour the veg was hard the chips were frozen ones , and the gravy was very salty . The attitude of the manager was he couldn't care less . Italian food they can handle, but traditional English Christmas lunch they hadn't a clue . I would not recommend .

Meal with friends was super, we had the festive menu which was a snap for under 25£, the turkey and King prawns starter was beautiful, and the cocktails were fantastic needless to say we left a little tipsy. Perfect evening b4 hitting the local nightlife.

This was a restaurant we hadn't visited for a long, long time and we've been missing out. It was a Thursday night in Bolton and we thought it would be quiet but it was packed and we were very glad we had booked. And it's no wonder it was so busy. They do a great value Meal deal for most of the evening which is a set price for a starter, main course and dessert. This seem very popular indeed. We treated ourselves to a couple of steaks though and they were wonderful. Cooked perfectly, high-quality and so big, we finished them off for lunch, the next day! We ordered a decent red wine to go with them and a nice touch was that they were out of stock of the one we ordered so gave us the next one up which was excellent. The atmosphere was really good and the service superb. It certainly won't be as long Before we visit next time.

This restaurant is superb in every aspect. The welcome was warm and genuine. The service was excellent - I was never hurried and equally was never left waiting. The food was fantastic BUT the desert (homemade Tiramasu) was the best I've ever had. The wine was an excellent match for my food. All of this for less than £25! A great experience all round.

Come here at least once a month. Good is always amazing, staff are always very friendly and the atmosphere is on point! I try new Italians but always come back here!

I absolutely adore this place! Fantasic food! But only issue is that the menu is very limited if u want a delivery . Id of loved to order from them this evening but can't have my favourite starter which is prawns. I cant have a steak. Just gutted its so limited. Is there a reason for this??? Id definitely order from them more if they hadn't limited there menu online . Apart from that they are great staff and service and food

Well, what can I say about this place,value for money,price ,taste,simply the best Italian I've ever been to.Went last night 21/10/21,at 6pm,3 courses for 15 pounds each,and there not small portions and the taste of the food is superb.Will be back in Nov with our friends.Keep up the great work ciao

It's only a small place that we stumbled across and imI'really glad we did. Personal service and the food was fast, delicious and priced well. There's not that many places that I would want to go eat in Bolton Town centre, but I will definitely be going here again.

After another restaurant let us down, the staff at Ciao Napoli welcomed us in on a busy Saturday night and we enjoyed a fantastic meal. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was very attentive and the atmosphere friendly and hospitable. We will definitely return!

It's not unreasonable, I feel, to expect an Italian restaurant to know their way around a Caesar salad, no? Well, apparently it is. I mean, the menu at this place indicates that they do (Fresh grilled chicken breast on a crisp salad, garlic croutons and a homemade Caesar dressing, finished with parmesan shavings) only it bore little resemblance to what they served A ball of mixed leaves bound in a gloop of mayo, completely unhindered by romaine lettuce, served with strips of cold pre-cooked chicken and sprinkled with powdered parmesan, all served with, get this, chopped tomato and cucumber. Yes, seriously. The Antipasto Misto to start was basically a few odds and sods from the pizza topping tubs served with a few strips of that most authentic of Italian cheeses, Cheddar. The hospitability industry claims to be on it's knees, yet if this place is anything to go by then that'll have little to do with Lockdown.

Ordered from CN via Just Eat. Went to pick food up for 7:15, which was the time promised. I got there and the food wasn’t ready. They told me to wait five minutes but I ended up waiting 15... as a result I got a parking ticket. Not happy that the food wasn’t done for that time. Secondly the risotto we ordered wasn’t cooked properly. The middle of the rice was too al-dente and almost raw. Staff were very polite though and apologised for the delay. The food tasted lovely; it was purely time and service that was disappointing.

Ordered a pizza, a garlic bread and chips via just eat and it was the worst takeaway I've ever had. The restaurant can't simply blame the delivery driver either because had the food been decent I would have forgiven the fact it turned up over an hour late and cold. The pizza was worse than a supermarket's cheapest pizza....flat, cheap plastic topping and not even coloured on the base. The pictures they put online are decieving to say the least. The chips were soggy and thin. It's quite obviously they don't know how to make a pizza base, it was a flatbread with cheese on it. First time I've ordered from here and will most definitely be my last. I'd rather buy a supermarket pizza on deliveroo before ordering from here

Three of us visited Ciao Napoli, this evening. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, as were the staff. It's been over a year since we've been able to visit Ciao Napoli; It was wonderful to be back. I noticed as people left the restaurant, tables were being thoroughly sanitised and Covid restrictions were being adhered to. Looking forward to our next visit. Since we are all stuck in lockdown, we ordered from here, and was not disappointed at all, food was perfect and delivered very quick! 5 star☆☆☆☆☆

Where do I begin... As a professional chef working in a well respected Italian restaurant in Manchester City. I went for a pizza with chorizo and RED pepper. Well the pizza was more like a Tesco value flatbread, there was one sliver of GREEN pepper and to be fair the nicest part with the chorizo. So good one lads for dicing that and scattering it on the pizza. My partner had chicken and mushroom tagliatelle which was very unseasoned, there’s more flavour in a bag of ready salted crisps!! Along side, we had ordered garlic bread which turned out to be a great disappointment and absolutely not worth the price tag - the basics were even a let down!! To top it all off, there was absolutely nothing to wash down the extremely dry meal because my coke never arrived with the order. Only pizza and pasta at the end of the day, not something I would class as highly difficult.

Visited tonight with family. Had a lovely 3 course meal, service all fine until we asked for the bill.This was not itemised and came in a lot more expensive then we thought. When we asked for a breakdown it came in less but still more than we calculated. We questioned again as we picked from the 3 courses for £14.95 only told be told after that this offer was not applicable during "eat out to help out" so were charged full price less £10 per head.Disappointed to say the least and will not return purely on principal fact that this should have been pointed out or removed from the menu prior to ordering and not upon request for payment after.All the waitress could do was shrug her shoulders.Please check your bill!!

Visited Ciao Napoli on Sunday evening and took advantage of the 3 courses for £15 deal (What a bargain!)This isn't our first time eating at Ciao Napoli, and most certainly won't be our last. The customer service received from the waitress and manager where second to none. The food was incredible and all cooked to an excellent standard. The only con would be timings - the restaurant was very busy with takeaway orders and it was over an hour after arriving at the restaurant when we got our Pizza's - otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Thanks for the delicious meal and keep up the good work!

Rubbish portion of potatoes, 3 tiny ones each. Chicken was supposed to be served in a piri piri sauce, not much flavour to it at all, definitely no heat. Tip automatically added to the bill, don't like that. I like to decide what to tip based on the overall experience. Summary...Only cost £25 with the offer but even with the same discount I don't think I would return. I would have definitely complained if it was full price.

Booked here as part of the Eat Out to Help out scheme. Restaurant was packed as expected but ample room between the other tables. Had a starter and main course of which was tasty and very well presented. Staff friendly and helpful, saved 50% off the starters and mains so all in all a great night. Would highly recommend eating here.

Our first visit to Bolton town centre since March and after major difficulties parking we were more than happy with our lunch at Ciao Napoli. Their special 3 course lunch is great value at £9.95 starting with soup which today was delicious Broccoli and Stilton followed by a chicken dish with veg and a small Cannelloni. We finished with two Cappuccino coffees before settling the bill. Many thanks to all staff for good service and Angello in the kitchen. No problems with social distancing and felt 'safe' throughout our visit. Really enjoyed our meals and already booked again for Friday with friends.

StarterI ordered the mushroom starter Funghi Ripieni which is mushrooms with spinach and Parmesan in a tomato sauce. - This was really nice, the dish overall was lovely, it was tasty, and the portion size was perfect. I didn’t get a picture just wolfed it down without thinking. MainI ordered Spigola Al Aglio which is sea bass cooked in garlic, tomatoes, onions, butter and white wine on a bed of rocket. It comes with a portion of potatoes and seasonal vegetables. This was unbelievably tasty, I enjoyed every bite. The flavours really complimented the fish and the colours made it look appealing and appetising. I couldn’t wait to dig in. The sea bass is pictured, the vegetables and potatoes come on a separate dish. The portions size again was perfect not overbearing and after the starter and this I was comfortably full. My partner had the Pizza Americana (meat feast) and he really enjoyed that, tasty, decent size and freshly cooked. PriceBoth portions were priced adequately, for the quality I could not complain at all at the price. I’d happily pay that again. Again drinks are reasonably priced. There is a lunch and evening special menu with a 3 course meal on a budget as well for people who may want a trip out on a budget. StaffThe staff were welcoming, friendly and very attentive. Little things like noticing when your drinks glasses were empty and coming over in good time rather than waiting around and trying to get someone’s attention and drinks / food didn’t take long to arrive at all. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a fairly priced meal of good quality. It’s family friendly so good for families as well as a nice place to go for a date night.

Not been able to go out tonight for a meal for my birthday so thought we’d have a take away from a restaurant we’ve eaten in many times. We had ribs for starter, seafood linguine and garlic bread for main. I must say the quality was just as good as if we were sitting in the restaurant. Food cooked to perfection, fresh and potions good size. 30% discount on restaurant price. Excellent value, support this restaurant through difficult times . We really enjoyed it all and highly recommended

Had actually booked a table at the courthouse nearby. Upon entering changed our minds and found this place . It's a winner. Great service , great menu with lots of choice. Reasonably priced. Really pleased with everything and would recommend.

Had been walking round Bolton before we watched a concert and was so glad I remembered this restaurant was here. We hadn't booked, but they made every effort to fit us in and even though we were last minute and had a limited amount of time, we had gorgeous food, great service and a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go again sooner rather than later.

Visited on Christmas eve, 12 people, nice warm welcome, quickly seated and drinks served. Fabulous garlic breads with various toppings. A whole range of mains from Pizza's, Chicken, Steaks, Rissoto's and everyone enjoyed them. Good atmosphere with pleasant staff and nice to see Rui back.

I don’t often eat in Bolton but choose to eat here tonight as my little boy was at a pantomime and it seemed cheap. We arrived early for our booking and were seated straight away, had to ask to order drinks. We then sat waiting for our food order to be taken for about 25 mins, the place wasn’t busy at all and the staff were stood around chatting. Anyway we decided to leave and asked for the bill, the guy just said yes. He never asked why we were leaving or apologised, my partner said to him no one has took our order, he replied ok. My partner then said that they were lucky he was paying for the drinks. The guy just said thanks bye. I cannot begin to tell you how rude this guy was and cannot understand why they didn’t want my custom. NEVER AGAINCame to Cafe Italia instead, AMAZING

Four of us booked for New years Eve and it proved to be excellent value at just £37.50 per person for 3 courses, choosing anything off the menu-ie any starter,main and dessert.the food and service were superb,including four perfectly cooked steaks.well worth every penny spent.would definitely recommend.

Visited for the first time this week with a friend who has been before. I love walking into a restaurant that the smell makes your mouth water and this is one of them. Even though it's quite a small place we were seated immediately and very well taken care of by our server.

We have been visiting Ciao Napoli since the 1980s. It has always been quite simply one of the best, most friendly and reliable dining venues in Bolton. Never fails. Excellent authentic Italian cuisine, served piping hot and exactly the way you just hope it will be and it always is! I'd prefer it would remain just a hidden gem for the faithful, but that would be mean.

Pre booked table for Saturday night and got there on time. Couple of birthday parties going on. It was lovely to see how much attention was given to the birthday guests it creates such a good atmosphere and gives people chance to get to know one another. The waiters were fabulous bringing the birthday cakes getting everyone to sing happy birthday. We ordered a good cold bottle of prosecco and made our meal choices fabulous food we had garlic bread with cheese very scrummy hot and lovely then my friend had sea bass and I had salmon both lovely well cooked with side orders of veg and potatoes both were very enjoyable finished plates all round. Didnt have room for dessert but my friend had a cappuccino and i had a double sambuca. We both love this place and have been coming for a couple of years its out of the town bar area so nice and quiet you can people watch and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back

Had a mid week meal with a special friend here. I Have visited this placed before and again the food was sub-blind. Can get very busy if you get large groups in but this adds atmosphere and the eating experience. I would ensure you book a table prior to visiting.

Me and my husband have been coming here for many years as it is one of our favourite Italian restauraunts. The food is amazing,compliments to the chefs and the customer service is fantastic. Keep up the good work.

We have now visited four times in the last couple of months after a long absence and really enjoyed the meals again. The two course lunches with coffees is great value at £9.95, my favourite beef stroganoff with half chips/rice or various chicken dishes. We usually order the excellent house red at £13.95 and finish with the cappuccino coffees. The service is very good thanks to Caterina and Angello in the kitchen. Nice to see how busy it is and pleased we booked in advance.

My husband works in Bolton regularly and this is his favourite place to eat. I came to join him for the weekend and we booked a table for Saturday evening. The staff are very friendly, they deal splendidly with my husband's allergies (several) and they made me feel very welcome. My husband is thoroughly at home there after eating there at least once a week for the past year.

This was our first visit since March and we were not disappointed. We heard a second chef had started and on our visit was working along side Angello,who we always rated. We quickly ordered a bottle of the decent house red wine, excellent value at £13.95. Our party of four all ordered Minestrone soup as starters followed by 2 Beef Stroganoff, small Cannelloni and Penne Pollo all cooked to our liking. In fact the beef dish was delicious with half chips/rice. With coffees the 3 courses were great value at £9.95. Keep this up and we will visit again on a regular basis. Friday lunch time was fairly busy and we were well looked after by Caterina and a new waiter we had not seen before.

Even as a Bolton native, I had not visited this tucked-away bistro before. We enjoyed a fantastic pre-theatre meal at Ciao Napoli - and so reasonably priced, too.

This Italian restaurant is located in the centre of town but hidden away down a side street.

We did the 3 course Sunday special after 4 for under £14. Starters were good, garlic cheese bread amazing. Mains, carbonara was creamy and thick sauce. Very nice. Calzone was good, filling a little runny but very tasty. Dessert was mixed. The fudge cake was wonderful, my house special cheesecake was nice but let down by canned squirty cream and topped with tinned strawberry’s. Shame, as everything else was very good. Friendly staff but chatted to regulars and never asked how we were enjoying our food. I would go back, good value and quality was good.

This is a small, unassuming yet welcoming restaurant nestled in the backstreets of Bolton and might easily escape your attention. You would be well advised to give it a try. We did just that and were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and chose from the set menu which was great value at £13.95 for 3 courses. The quality of the fare far exceeded what you might have expected for the price. Delicious, generous portions served piping hot by warm and friendly staff and washed down by a bottle of the easily gluggable house red. We will certainly be returning.

This Restaurant has been in business for 20yrs,we have never been before, but we will most certainly visit again, they serve excellent Italian dishes ,piping hot very tasty and the service is second to none.wine list is small but the house red was a delight..

We went for a family meal on a Saturday night. It’s a small space but I think they make the best use of it they can and it was full so the atmosphere was really good – really “buzzy”. We all had starters and mains. Everyone found something they liked on the menu and all of the meals served were nothing less than “good”. I don’t eat desserts myself but those who did said the choc & caramel cheesecake was “excellent”. Prices were reasonable and staff were very attentive and pleasant on the night particularly the young man and woman who served us.

We visited this restaurant, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, on a busy Saturday evening after making a telephone booking three days earlier. The website states you can book by email but I did not get a response to my initial email request and therefore, I phoned the restaurant two days later. I requested a table for 7.30 pm but offered to be flexible presuming the restaurant would be busy, based on the reviews I had seen. However, the manager accommodated my request and we duly arrived at the restaurant on time, on Saturday evening.

We visited on quite a busy Saturday evening. Staff were very attentive and food was lovely... Salmon and prawn starter was gorgeous. The only downside was that I felt it was a bit cramped. There were 14 of us and we all enjoyed it, which is saying something.

We enjoyed a very good evening meal at Ciao Napoli. It was early on a Thursday evening and there were about 12 other people dining. We chose to have the 3 course evening special for £13.95. Really good value. i had a plate of antipasti meats, fish and cheese to start, followed by a delicious Calabrese Pizza. My partner had Ribs followed by Pizza Pescatora. We both had desserts, mine was a very good Salted caramel Cheesecake. We had a sparkling water and a Diet coke to drink followed by a baileys latte and an Americano coffee. The bill was a very reasonable £38.35.

Went for a family meal and was told on arrival that there was a problem with the ovens. We decided to wait as an engineer was on the way. As we were waiting we were given complimentary drinks of our choice.

The food was lovely tasty and well proportioned and they have great deals on too. Unfortunately on the dessert we never got our first choices and what I did end up choosing didn’t taste that great I guess it could be personal opinion but it was a millle Feuille with custard filling it was very cold almost frozen and chewy like. The staff were great and attentive. I would go again and try another dessert.

We came to Ciao Napoli again this year as last year was near perfect. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. There weren't many tables filled and the food was only OK. There was a slight problem with the dessert and the waitress had a face on her when we politely mentioned that the added Chocolate Drizzle would be detrimental to my health. The final disappointment was at the till when a 10% Service Charge was added to the bill and there was only 2 of us. A bit naughty.

Came here for lunch midweek with friends. Food was average and service ok but lacked atmosphere. Maybe it's more of an evening restaurant as it didn't give us the urge to return.

I had booked a table well in advance for an evening me, asking about what they do for birthdays to which they said on the phone they can arrange balloons and cake and I said that sounds fine ok then as I told them it was a birthday meal.

There was 11 of us, not one person left a scrap of food. Delicious starters and mains!!! The lemon and lime cheese cake was the best dessert I have ever tasted.

Had a lovely experience here for my boyfriends birthday. The staff were all really friendly and attentive, the food was really tasty with good portion sizes. Would love to visit again soon.

Our football team were playing Bolton and we reviewed TA for places to have some hearty football fare. What a great find Ciao Napoli was!

Reviewed this place before and gave a 5 star rating. How times change. Visited this restaurant to celebrate my mum's 75th birthday with family in January 2019.

As one of our favourite local restaurants we could not miss their Christmas menu, and we were not disappointed. Our starters included homemade chicken liver pate and mushroom/spinach soup followed by the well prepared traditional Christmas Turkey with the usual trimmings. The meals were delicious and well cooked by Mo and Angello. After a short break we enjoyed homemade Cheesecake and Tiramisu. The 3 course lunch menu at £15.95 was certainly great value for money and many thanks to Jose and the girls for their first class service. Look forward to many more visits in 2019.

Called in a couple of times before Christmas both on my own and with friends/family. I am pleased to say that my friends were impressed with both the service and quality of food even when packed out with hungry diners. Keep up the good work Jose and your merry band of of colleagues, see you soon.
