The whole building used to be India Gate but now it has been split in to two restaurants. Dalchini the Indian and Capisci the Italian. The waiting on staff are pleasant and the food was ok but it wasnt anything special. With other Italians in the area it wouldnt be my first choice next time we dine out.

I came here last night with my boyfriend as we couldn’t get a table anywhere for Friday valentines. The king prawn starter was very nice! The calamari was a bit stringy and not crispy enough, nice though. The mains were goos, my boyfriend had carbonara and I have the chicken risotto, I didn’t try his bit he said it was nice! We didn’t have a desert as we were too full. The owner/manager was lovely! Very attentive and accepted that I was trying my best to speak Italian to him even tho I’m horrific at it! £42 for both of us! So I think it was good value for money! We dine out quite a lot and this is Not my favourite Italian, but for a newish restaurant it was good!

A group of over 30 of us booked Capisci ( previously India Gate ) for our 'Winter Meal' We were allocated the function room just off the bar area which was perfect. We had been asked to pre order our 3 course meal from a choice of 3 choices for each course. No body was disappointed. The service was excellent, efficient and friendly and we were all served at the same time , not an easy feat with such a big group. The food was well presented, the portions very generous and the hot dishes were served hot! I would certainly recommend Capisci for group dining.

We have visited Capisci on another family meal, always a warm and friendly welcome. The food here is amazing from the bruschetta and risotto to the delicious fish or steak dishes, we have never had an unsatisfactory meal here and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a good Italian meal, with great service, but don’t look for pizza it is not served at this restaurant. It is not needed because the rest of the menu is so good. We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits and it is one of the few we will keep returning to.

Visited the restaurant with family. Varied menu ; reasonably priced and the owners (Italian ;I may add) and staff are extremely attentive. The food is very tasty; generous portions all freshly cooked. We all choose different meals and all of them were bursting with flavour. Highly recommend a visit to CAPISCI. We will certainly return soon. Well done!

Having worked extensively in Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Ischia, and Capri I have a pretty good idea of what good Italian cuisine should taste like, the fayre at Capisci is as authentic as you will get outside of Italy. Capisci is a delightful 'homely' eatery situated in a countryside setting centrally placed between Bolton, Bury, Ramsbottom, and Radcliffe, the villages of Edgeworth and Bradshaw are adjacent, Italian pizzeria's are in abundance in this part of the North West but very few can match Capisci for the food "lika mamma usato maka" . The bruschetta rustica is just divine and flavoured perfectly, the capesante (scallops) were also delicious, there are a number of sharing platters to choose from all fresh and 'casa' prepaired. I had ravioli all aragosta (pasta pouches filled with lobster) cooked in white wine garnished with prawns garlic and tomato, it was quite simply unsurpassable. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the seating comfortable, it is clear that the owners are proud of their cuisine and great detail is spent on preparation, there are daily meat and fresh fish specials and their coffee is like nectar. Well worth a visit and I am sure that diners who appreciate true Italian food will return as will I on a regular basis.

Have to admit there was slight confusion on it's location as it is a small partition of a very large Indian restaurant sharing a large car park so we almost drove past it, a bigger roadside sign would be of advantage. Once inside the bar area is comfortable but slightly lacking in ambiance, we were greeted with a very warming welcome and shown through to the main dining area. Again this is clean and comfortable but again slightly lacking ambiance it would benefit from a few wall pictures, there were a smattering of other diners but the whole atmosphere changed when an absolutely wonderful musician sat at his piano. The cuisine was authentic and first class in every way, i had a pasta carbanara and my partner had lasagne both dishes were unsurpassable and the music flowed in a most cosmopolitan and sophisticated way that did not overpower our conversation. A party of about 15 people then sat and quite obviously had come for the music as well as the excellent food, it was a joy to watch them singing along with the songs "Thats Amore' and Fenicula, we were astounded by the diversity of the music which was played and sung, classical Chopin intertwined with Aerosmith Nat King Cole, Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra Neil Diamond and Andrea Bocelli. The room was just like a scene from an old movie with several couples dancing. We actually finished our meal but stayed another hour or so just to savour the wonderful evening. The musician Joel, played uninterupted from 7pm until10pm to the delight of every diner. All in all the restaurant is pleasant, the food is excellent but the musician was for us the magic ingredient and a positive reason for us to return.

Well what a fantastic place and very friendly staff all round fantastic night we had. I dont normally take photos of my food, However my T-Bone steak looked so good i just had to so i could show people. The food here is top notch and all cooked fresh to order. The owners take great pride in buying whatever looks good and place it on the specials board so the menu changes weekly. You wont get any generic food here just a very warm welcome and lovely food.

We've been going to Capisci for a few weeks now and the food and welcome are always top notch. The specials board has just that - specials! The fish is fabulous, pasta is perfect and the meat is 'mazing (sorry). We would recommend Capisci without hesitation, such a great restaurant.

Very quiet on a Thursday at 7.30pm, only 2 other tables ( of 4 and 2 people). The food was very fresh and hot, friendly female owner. Very good value for money on the Groupon voucher for a three course meal. My only negative was that on my calabrese pizza there was excessive diced onion which was only just cooked and we weren't offered parmazan for our starters or pasta.

Booked last minute , they squeezed us in and we were glad they did. Haven't been here for some while but really enjoyed our food, the Ridgeway special was fabulous, so much meat and a lovely dianne sauce. Staff were great even though they had 2 party's going on. Well done and thank you.

Easily the best pizza in Bolton by a mile. Not your standard pizza at all. You know the ones, tastes like sugar and identical to everywhere else. Well that's not the the case here . Really high quality tastes like it was made from scratch.

We chose the French toast, it was OK, but there was hardly any mascarpone and half a strawberry sliced, nothing like the picture on their website. The salmon and scrambled eggs was also OK, but the person dishing out the plates is very inconsistent with portions as we got hardly any salmon and a small portion of egg, where as another table got double the amount of both salmon and egg! The crepes were nice. Sadly we wouldn't return for food, there are much better places to go.
