The best restaurants serving Italian food in Southend-on-Sea East of England

Pre-theatre dinner in a lovely restaurant. The place was very busy at 8pm when we arrived. Told staff we needed to be be gone by half nine and they were happy to accommodate this request. Portions are very generous and the prices are very reasonable. The food was delicious and everyone was happy at our table. Also the complimentary limoncello at the end was a nice touch. We will definitely be back to enjoy the food at a more leisurely pace.

Family was fed and watered with some great dishes - very yummy 😋 lots of traditional foods that was appetising, portions great and Victoria looked after us.

Been here couple times now, last night with the party of 9. Lovely meal and pleasant service. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, but leave you to enjoy your evening! Delicious, fresh food with great selection of wines. Thank you for the lovely birthday meal. Highly recommend it!

10 of us visited for dinner last week. Holly our waitress was fantastic - she couldn’t have done anymore to make us all feel welcome and cater to everyone’s requests - thank you!! The food was also great, the pizzas are delicious and we’d all highly recommend the pistachio tiramisu! We will be back!

We had starters,mushrooms and the aubergine with delicious blue cheese garlic bread,probably best garlic bread I've ever had,we both had fillet steak for main cooked to perfection,I had a pepper sauce my partner had a mushroom sauce so tasty,best meal we have both had in a very long time,we can't recommend this restaurant enough !

Really not happy. Waited 2 hours before recieving our order with the delivery time constantly changing. And when the food finally arrived it was cold. I had called the restaurant and the food was waiting for a driver.

This is the first time visiting the restaurant, they had a lovely touch with their customers. Their customer service was very good. Amazing dinner, dessert was out of this world (homemade italian tiramisu)!!! Thank you guys was amazing!!!!

This is a great little spot for breakfast or lunch. The cafe staff are so friendly and the food is fabulous. There are a range of dishes including brunch, breakfast, burgers and much more. There are also a range of specials on the boards I enjoyed the bacon, mushroom, spinach and poached egg on sourdough and it was delicious. I would definitely come back again!

This restaurant only opened under this name last month and appears to have a new menu etc. It was formally called II Palazzo and from the dates of the reviews below they all refer to the "previous" restaurant. Service was Ok but instead of the large dining room shown in the photos we were all packed into tables set out in the former bar area with about two feet between tables. Food was Ok

Walked in without reservation and seated straight away. Served by Fernando, excellent man. Menu was authentic and varied, with a wide choice of meat, fish and veggie dishes. Our choices were absolutely delicious and served in good time. Reasonable price, will definitely go again.

What a fabulous and welcoming family Italian restaurant. Everyone so friendly and helpful. We had the set 2 course menu. Good varied options, big portions, delicious! Didn’t feel service was rushed as can often happen when busy. You can tell they take a pride in what they do. Will definitely be back.

I like the style and food at this restaurant, the decor is lovely and the young staff are lovely and look so smart . The only thing I would change is how the manger/ owner talks to her staff, they worked really hard and think you should be a little kinder to them
