La Sirena in Southend-on-Sea

First time visit and definitely not my last. Superb service, authentic Italian food and a warm, relaxing atmosphere.

This restaurant is more than just a restaurant, the presentation on the plate is like art. The main dish I had was salmon with risotto, and the service is super friendly. LaSirena, well done!

First time visit here. It won’t be our last! Very impressed! I can’t believe I’ve lived in Leigh for 5 years and never been! The food was amazing! Loved the Prosecco DOCG, the service was also great! So all round fabulous evening out with my daughters. Will be back with hubbie! 🙌🙌

Amazing food and great hospitality. Child friendly too which is a must have when you're a parent wanting to enjoy a good meal out and the starter from specials menu amazing Got's cheese mousse was superb. Totally recommend. Thank you all at LaSirena!

Food was okay but service was appalling, had to ask to order drinks as we sat waiting for a 20 mins with not even a menu to look at. Starters came out after our mains which made no sense and left all of us with 2 plates of food. Disappointed to say the least

We came here last year with my mother in law in a wheelchair. Two gentlemen lifted her over the steps and treated her like royalty. We went last evening as a family to honor her life. We were there a very long time catching up and also sharing memories of her. Food was very good, service excellent! We were not rushed and were grateful for a lovely evening together as a family.

Another excellent meal. Pizza are the best in the area. We recommend frutti Di mare. It's delicious!

Nice place, not big, I think I understood the girl who cooks that she was Albanian, she understands Italian... the other guy doesn't. The food good. They forgot about a menu for one of my children.. but as he was asleep on my legs.. I wasn't interested in complaining..

It was quiet for this time of year (week before Christmas) which didn’t bother us, we were a birthday party and made our own fun. Food and service was fantastic, I really do recommend

On 2nd December, all 12 of us, had a lovely meal at La Sirena. This restaurant has everything from bread, pizza, pasta, rice to pork, chicken, lamb, fish, prawn and choices for vegetarians too. Service is excellent, food is so delicious, for us we pay the price that worth. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed. We will go back there again. Thank you for Manager Allmon and the team.

Our family’s favourite restaurant! We went for a birthday meal last night it was very busy and they had mistakenly booked us for the following day. I don’t know how they managed it but they found a table for us with no fuss and made us feel very welcome when it must have been stressful for them as I am sure they were fully booked. The food and service were wonderful as always and they turned what could have been a very disappointing night into a celebration.

We were looking for a new Italian restaurant to explore and having read the reviews thought we would give this one a try. Really glad we did - if our first experience is anything to go by then we have found a winner!! The food was excellent, generous, tasty well presented and hot. Each of the four of us had different dishes for starters and mains and all of us enjoyed them all. The service was also excellent, attentive, friendly and efficient. All in all a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be coming here again. A big thank you to Almond who looked after us and Fernando who is a great character and kept us entertained.

First time here and will return. The service was great as was the menu choice. Food all arrived very hot . I had the salmon from the set menu. It was cooked to perfection. Very tasty and most importantly hot.

Met friends here for lunch. Lots of choice but we had the lunch special menu two courses for £15.95. There were a few nice things on the menu and it was excellent value given the quality of the food. The Salmon was delicious I’m told as was the chicken millianese and pasta. All meals were lovely presented and very tasty. The staff were very friendly efficient and informative we all thought the experience was excellent and we can’t wait to go again. The visit was faultless and I would highly recommend.

Thank you to all the staff at La Sirena for making my 80th Birthday celebration so special and very memorable. From the planning stages Fernando was so helpful with his advice and has great attention to detail. The food was mouth watering and all the members of my family gave glowing reviews and said they would definitely want to return on another occasion. The staff were all very attentive, ensuring that our glasses were full and that the food arrived in a timely fashion for a large gathering. The whole meal and celebration was superb. Thank you!!

What a wonderful restaurant, very indulgent and felt special. The food was ridiculously good, totally delicious. The service was perfect. It can be expensive but we knew that before we booked. You get what you pay for and we simply went and had what we wanted. Go here for something special, something lavish. Truly memorable. We will go again definitely. One of the best restaurants I've eaten in.

Excellent last night, restaurant was full, company was great. All had a very good time. Several of our party from overseas, Australia and NZ, and restaurant as good as any in Melbourne and Wellington.

Excellent set lunch - good choice and great value for money. I was even offered a coffee because I did not want a dessert - too full! Staff very friendly and efficient.

After a busy day for my daughters 18th she really fancied some Italian food (pizza) we were recommended by friends to try here and managed to get a table short notice, and I’m so glad we did the food was gorgeous and nice big portions we had the 3 courses menu and was superb value for money would highly recommend it you are made to feel so welcome , such a relaxed atmosphere , knowing it was my daughters birthday they put on the birthday song and everyone sang happy birthday to her and they made her dessert look extra special I didn’t know they was going to do that and it was a lovely thing to do (she normally is so shy with things like that as am I but it definitely made her day that bit more special so a big big thank you all so much will definitely be recommending you to everyone I know and can’t wait to come back again 😁

We had a love time here, the food was delicious and service was super. The atmosphere was just right not too casual nor over the top restaurant vipes. Lots of veggie options that are marked on the menu. There is on street parking so it might take a drive by to find a spot near to the restaurant but we managed quite easily. We will be back!

The most wonderful local Italian restaurant. Our local, we came here for a 7:45pm dinner 27th May. We were recognised from our regular bookings, the staff are extremely attentive, the food is always delicious! Unfortunately we didn’t have the cash to tip tonight - which is our fault!!

We eat at La Sirena on a weekly basis, and have definitely worked our way through the menu over time. The Lasagne and the Pollo Milanese are particular favourites for us. Portions are generous and the food has never let us down. The service is excellent! We are always made to feel welcome and well looked after by all staff, but especially Fernando, who is just fantastic. He takes great pride in looking after his customers and providing an exceptional service. Thank you to all of the staff at La Sirena and we'll see you again next week!

Never been here before. Definitely go back could not fault any of it. Only downside nor a lot of parking. But the restaurant was lovely best one we have been too in a long time xx

I took my friend and little girl for lunch there today and had a first class experience. From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left the restaurant, service was impeccable and the food to a seriously high standard all home-made fresh and piping hot, also very reasonably priced, will definitely be going back there for sure. Sorry we didn’t have any cash for a tip so it’s double next time lol!! Yum Yum All Round.!!

I m very disappointed about service,also no atmosphere, empty room and staff running to serve the clients,food wise was nice but the quality of the meat is so poor. Come back i do not thinks so. Maybe they change staff or supplier.

For a local independent restaurant, you’re not going to get better Italian food than here. Reasonably priced, decent quality food, large portions, nice wines, and lovely service.

Just had a amazing Red Mullet from special menu , very attentive service great venue and very tasty food, thanks to all at LaSirena for lovely lunch.

This was our first visit to La Sirena and it was perfect. We had the three course lunch for £16.95 the choices are amazing three of us had the melon and one the whitebait the melon was really lovely as was the whitebait and there were at least three other choices. For mains three of us had the chicken Milanese with the spaghetti bologneise and I had the pomodore sauce and then one of my sister in laws had the salmon which came with a mushroom sauce broccoli carrots and slice sautéed potatoes, you can then have a dessert or coffee. I was the only one to have dessert which was chocolate profiteroles which were delicious. We were all really impressed with the ambience of the restaurant Armand who served us was polite and friendly and brought out a birthday cake on a decorated plate that my sister in laws had got for me - nothing was to much bother. The bill with three rose wines and a couple of tonics was £91 an exceptional price thank you.

Lovely lunch. Good service, excellent food. Well worth going to. We were able to mix and match the daily specials with the fixed menu. Easy, no stress.

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed

WOW. We were just about to leave the high street when we walked past and decided Italian would hit the spot for lunch. Myself, my wife and our 4 year old daughter were seated wherever we chose. Service was absolutely fantastic (even when the little one spilled her drink). Very friendly and inviting. All staff were extremely polite and efficient. The food was delicious and portion sizes definitely didn't leave any of us hungry! The price was also very reasonable. It felt like we were on holiday in "Italy-On-Sea". We will be back soon, without a doubt.

My wife and I had a reservation at the Ivy at Bermonsey but due to the tanker incident at Sadlers found ourselves unable to make it. We had eaten at La Sirena before and enjoyed it immensely and decided to go back. We weren't disappointed and felt that both the service and our meals were as good as the Ivy. Highly recommended

Nice food, well cooked and presented. Cloth napkin style and prices throughout. Staff are fine and do their best. The decor is fine. We discussed if we would ever come back and we both said no but couldn't work out why, except that for some reason it felt like silver service in a cafe. Still can't put our finger on it...
