Pizza Pizza in Southend-on-Sea

10 of us visited for dinner last week. Holly our waitress was fantastic - she couldn’t have done anymore to make us all feel welcome and cater to everyone’s requests - thank you!! The food was also great, the pizzas are delicious and we’d all highly recommend the pistachio tiramisu! We will be back!

Excellent food, lovely staff, let down by extremely slow service. Took 1.25 hours for the pizza to come out. Spent most of the evening ridiculously hungry. 3rd or 4th time coming and never had this in the past here.. might have to try another place up the road. (Post review edit: they gave us a free drink after expressing disappointment, which was appreciated).

Good pizza, surly and condescending staff.

Sorry to say customer service is awful, yes it was a delivery but the food was sent out stone cold I live 90 seconds drive from the shop, they tried to blame it on Uber but you still gave cold pizza to a delivery guy. I was then told I can re order directly with them pick it up myself and hopefully will get a refund from Uber Eats. Back to Ugos for me Once pizza was heated back up it was barely edible.

The place is very bright and clean staff were friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. Celebrated a birthday there had a great time.

Love this place, been here to eat a few times since opening and food is always fresh and tasty. They let us have our gender reveal in here and they made it the best day for us. Staff were amazing and the food for everyone was great. Such a nice place. Thanks to Jessie and the team for making it such a special day for us.

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time!

Fabulous pizza and panuozzo! It feels like being near the sea of ​​Naples, with the blue tables, the wood-fired oven and the windows open onto the lively town... Luigi, an exceptional chef who passes between the tables to welcome customers, as in Italy. I've been back several times already and will be back soon!

Loved it, nice food, nice staff and a good atmosphere

Absolutely delicious hand stretched gluten free pizza - best I’ve ever had! Really great service, our dog was welcomed and all dietary requirements were accommodated. Highly recommend.

Outside of the Amalfi Coast.... the best Pizza I have tasted in the UK... It was ITALIAN and not the usual stuff UK Italian Restaurants dish up. Fresh produce made on site. Staff and the service....Excellent AND not silly prices. BM

Great pizza, we tried it takeaway first (ready in 5 mins which was great). Will try again eating in to benefit from olive oil which would probably have made it even better.

Had lunch here on a Sunday after a walk from Shoeburyness along the coast to Leigh-on-Sea. Would say that the pizza was better than most I’ve tasted in London - don’t think I could’ve eaten it any quicker! Cool interiors, friendly + efficient service, and refreshing to see a pizza restaurant with a genuinely good wine list, not just with your standard choices (go different and try an orange wine here). Will definitely come back when I’m next here from London!

I love this place. The pizza is excellent. My only grumble (this makes me feel old…) the music can be way too loud at times. It they do turn it down when asked though.

Popped in today for lunch consisting of pizza, mozzarella sticks and spinach and ricotta balls. The pizza was definitely one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The rest was really good too. Will definitely be returning soon!

One of the best pizza places in Leigh-on-Sea, every time we have been service has been quick and efficient, even when it's been busy. Highly recommend.

We have been for food here so many times!! Cannot express how good the food is we just keep coming back of all the places to eat in Leigh it’s by far the best lunch spot. I’d say the prices are super reasonable for the pizzas and sandwiches. The small plates are a good size for sharing too (the mozzarella sticks never let us down) I was worried that the new menu wouldn’t live up to the original, but actually the sandwiches they offer made out of the same pizza dough is the go to - if you don’t want any left over food to carry about that’s the one. If you want a snack for later or lunch for the next day then the full pizzas are the one for sure (depends how hungry you are I never seem to finish them but can’t complain cause it’s just as nice cold or reheated) Staff are always so pleasant and friendly, it’s a really relaxed and laid back atmosphere which is lovely for a slow and chilled out lunch. Honestly recommend this place every time someone asks for food options in the area, I try and drag all my friends here it’s a staple for me and my sister. I don’t even like pizza that much but this place just has some hold over me! Love it <3

This review is from my daughter aged 5. “It looks really nice and has the best pizza, the stretchy cheese is so good and crusts are not really bad. If I could, I would come here everyday. If you mix your orange juice with water - it won’t taste sour and it has floppy cheese”

Such a lack of vegan options oht of nowhere. Which i don’t think is a big ask nowadays in somewhere like Leigh on Sea. And starters were limited too. Also seated right next to a table of screaming kids when there was plenty of other tables. Disappointing

Lovely place to eat, staff were great, child friendly. The best part was that there was no child menu, they just offered child size portions from the main menu, which I really appreciated as I'm always keen for my child to have the same options as me. Staff were really helpful and really attentive, and the food was unreal. They even did a take away order for my wife who couldn't join us. Thanks!!

With Neapolitan pizza you always have high expectations going in, and I'm not going to lie, Pizza Pizza definitely lived up to then. I'd go as far to say that this was arguably the best pizza I've had in England. Simple menu, simple ingredients, and made perfectly.

Slightly expensive wine list but absolutely delicious pizza!!

This place started well but has certainly lost its sparkle. The pizza is not very authentic. The 4 seasons isn't, instead of being clearly defined they mix the topping and throw it all over. The pizza is very wet and difficult to hold, the centre being sodden. The flavours are muddled and lacking depth.

Fantastic pizza and service, music was a bit loud.

Visited last weekend with some friends as we usually absolutely love visiting Pizza Pizza, however we was really upset with having a table that we booked from 7.30 and being told at 8.30 that the bar is closing and it’s last orders. We was then also handed the bill at 8.45 without even asking for it. We was prepared to spend more time and money here but it seemed as though the staff were more interested in talking with their friends behind the bar and closing up to go home. Also adding 12.5% service charge when the service wasn’t great is laughable. Gutted as this was our favourite pizza spot in Leigh on sea but we won’t be coming again.

12 % service charge and my grandson who loves pizzas said it was not very nice like eating dough and very expensive although children eat free. There is a lot of competition for this type of food and this was not very good at all I am sorry to say.

This has to be one of the best Pizza Places I ever been to, hands down! Absolutely delicious, fresh and authentic Pizza straight from the Oven. Kudos Pizza Pizza!

Dreadful service, young stuff more interested in talking than asking if we were okay. Went with the kids for “kids eat free” weren’t given a kids menu and wasn’t asked if we wanted one, so the kids ordered off the only menu we had, yet when the bill arrived we were charged for all meals, to then be told “well some kids eat adult meals” The waitress didn’t ask if the kids wanted adult pizzas. Also asked for a simple request to throw some chicken on the margherita pizza, to be told no…. Back to Ugos we go

BEST PIZZA IN LEIGH!! Overflowing with gorgeous toppings, fresh, tasty, generous with sauces, 10/10 dough - loved it.

A-MAZING. Service, food, everything was great. Will 100% be returning. My friends and I had planned and attempted to go elsewhere on the Broadway but that didn't work out so Pizza Pizza managed to squeeze us in last minute and was the best decision we made that night. Great vegan options, food really was fantastic. Service was so natural and genuinely friendly and there to help you with no issues what so ever. Really was a lovely evening. Thank you

Lovely sourdough pizza, on par with some of London’s finest pizza places!

Brilliant! Really tasty and fresh pizza, good options for meat and plant based eaters in our party. Music was a little on the loud side otherwise would have also been 5* for atmosphere.

Tried this place for a spot of lunch. It's fantastic. Lovely friendly staff and the pizzas were incredible.

Delicious pizzas, nice decor, choice selection was a little limited and the bases could’ve been a little thinner, but overall, it was great and we’ll be back! The overall price may seem high, but we could have easily shared a pizza between us and had a salad as we were STUFFED by the time we left!!

Really good pizza, cooked to perfection

Not only the best pizza locally and probably in the UK !! They happily went in with my secret plan to surprise my teenage daughter’s Birthday dinner party with desserts (prepaid, in my absence) and put candles on the Tiramisu. Nice memories as well as stunning food.

Went in on a busy Wednesday evening. Sat at the bar which was perfect to be in the action. The staff were awesome and kept our wine and beer topped up throughout. The pizza was out of this world... as were the mozzarella dippers! 😋

At last somewhere that isn't all the gear and no idea. Great food and drinks and speedy friendly service.

I'd never had a Neopolitan pizza before but I was pleasantly surprised, without doubt best pizza I've ever had...great orange wine too another new experience..Will be back soon

Amazing food, serving a great range of traditional Neapolitan pizzas that are right on the money - and some excellent cocktails, wines and beers. Super location right on Leigh Broadway, with welcoming and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The best pizza and tomato salad on the Broadway!

Went to pizza pizza as a couple. We are both big pizza lovers big clue in the name of the place what they sell. We was not disappointed. The pizza arancini and cannoli was wonderful. And the service was also extremely friendly and welcoming. We sat at the bar would have preferred a table seat but it did give quick access to more drinks. All seats were taken and walkins were being turned away so best to book. The pizza dough was beautiful. If I was being picky….. I think they might be able to get more people in for sit down however I’m not a pro and they are probably weighing it up with quality of service which was high. Also maybe the decor is a bit too white. But like I said top marks. Will be visiting again! Meal for 2 with three courses plus alcohol cost £70.

Really well done! Came here with some friends last night we shared a mixture of starters including arancini .. garlic bread.. polenta fries & I had margarita pizza ( unreal !) beautiful pizza dough, flavoursome toppings and really friendly service ... was a little bit chilly where we were seated but other than that .. brilliant . Also love the loyalty card idea . Thank you :)

The best pizza I have eaten in a long time!

Great food. Really very good indeed. The fried mozzarella fries are something else and the polenta fries. The place is nice, depending where you are sat of course. Nice music. Good atmosphere. The staff don’t interact - no welcome, no smiles or asking how we were. From anyone. The young lady was slightly odd - on asking for garlic bread she paused and said it’s too big, I wouldn’t. Why are you putting customers off food? When we ordered it later after seeing someone else as it looked great, she paused again and said ‘good luck’ what an odd person and odd thing to say. The 12.5% is not discretionary, so they bill was expensive, but the food was worth it - just not the staff experience.

Could not fault the food it was absolutely amazing. Service was awful. Our bill for two was £137 we shared a starter and pizza two bottles of wine and two cocktails. My one star is for how we where spoken to by the manager when I gave constructive feedback on the service. As I was entitled to as I paid a service charge. I gave my opinion and he told me if I hadn’t consumed two bottles of wine maybe I’d have a different opinion on the service…… also we where sharing a pizza I asked could the chef cut the pizza ( no he doesn’t cut the pizzas I was told , I asked for a pizza cutter , I was told “ I will go get the chefs pizza cutter wash it and bring it to you “ why it was dirty if he doesn’t cut pizzas is beyond me . Why he even needed to tell me all that in the first place is also beyond me . Manger skills are shown when things aren’t going right . The way he spoke to me was ridiculous. A simple thank you for the feedback and I’ll see you again would of been great not try and embarrass me into thinking the two bottles of £32 wine that they had served me had altered my mind so much that I mistakenly thought their service was awful.

The food was delicious. The staff were pleasant. The decor is kind on the eyes. The pizza is reasonably priced but beware of over ordering as the sides etc add up when dips are £2 for example. Have a pizza and ignore the rest is my advice

Decent pizza, pleasant staff and quick service. Overall great experience if it wasn't for some unexpected charges on final bill, which I would have no problem with if I was made aware of them/asked for contribution, prior to being handed the bill. They support great cause so well done for that, however, if I want to make donation to the charity I'll be more than happy to do that if approached in the right way, not to be charged without warning while having relaxed lunch with my friend.
