The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Once again a delicious homemade soup and scone. Lively but not loud atmosphere and excellent friendly service. Had already had a smoothie earlier, which was also delicious.

Attended a friends birthday at Roccos on Saturday night. Nice setting and a lovely welcome from the staff; cocktail menu was good, something to please everyone and appropriately priced. We preordered our food due to the size of the party and I must admit it took me a while to choose as it all sounded so tasty!! In the end I opted for the beef carpaccio as starter which was delicious followed by a pasta dish (paccheri ossolani) which was also very tasty. Would happily go back and try some other yummy options from the menu. Thanks for a fab evening.

Nothing bad about this place, it's very tired and food is okay and nothing to write home about. Shame as that extra little effort on the dishes with some flavours, more fresh produce would make a big difference for what they charge. The hole where evidently there was a lamp on every table being pat he'd up pretty much says it all, must have taken time and effort but a new table cloth (even if still plastic!) may have looked smarter. £40/head okay for location, just shame that little extra effort would shine considering its right in the City.

Had a meal here with friends. I must say that for a menu so expensive, the pasta was seriously bland!

Order 50 mins late (so far) still not arrived. Shop don’t answer the phone and when they do, they say they don’t know where the food is. It’s with the driver. The number on deliveroo is for an old employee who no longer works at the shop! Will never use them again and suggest no one else does!

Probably the worst dining experience of our lives which I don’t take any pleasure saying. We had never been here before but our friends are local And have They always spoke highly of the restaurant. The food, the atmosphere and service so we were so looking forward to going. The service was awful as we never received our focaccia bread or a bottle of red wine The portions were so small it resembled a starter and we all left hungry still. We understood from the 2 Asian ladies looking after the restaurant that the two Italian lady owners were busy setting up a new pizza parlour in Liverpool Street. I’m afraid that whilst you’re doing that your Woodford business is suffering Sad as I’m sure it’s taken you a lot of hard work to build

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for years but never got round to it! It’s recently changed it’s name to Bacaro 22 also. We decided to go for a meal for our 3 year anniversary and we were made to feel SO welcome! The lovely lady that served our table was very chatty and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I happened to mention it was our anniversary and when I came back from the toilet the waitress delivered me a Nutella brownie on the house. The food was lovely and we will definitely be returning with family and friends when we can!

Been here twice before. Amazing food but a long wait on each occasion. Went last night (19 April 24) for family birthday. Booked 7pm for 3. On arrival shown to table + given menus. Waitress then said they needed the table back by 8.15pm! I asked why she'd given that table to us. No answer but we were moved to another table. Two of us chose the beef fillet and waited. After 10 minutes she came over to tell us no filet beef available. We got up and left. It's not a cheap place, in the two previous occasions it was £120+ for 3 before tip. We won't be going there again.

Sabrosa y deliciosa cocina casera italiana: probamos la lasaña, la pasta ariabiata, la pizza pepperoni, los langostinos en chile y, uno de sus favoritos, la bruschetta de tomate. Todos los platos eran frescos y deliciosos y muy bien presentados. El servicio también es cálido, amable y atento. Rápidamente se convierte en un favorito de la familia desde que se mudó a la zona. Estamos desconcertados de por qué no es más popular entre los lugareños. Una pequeña crítica; sentimos que el restaurante se beneficiaría de la adición de manteles y velas en cada mesa dando un ambiente cálido y acogedor.

Acogedor restaurante con muy buen servicio. La comida estaba deliciosa. Aunque un poco de humo en el restaurante. El vino tinto estaba muy bueno.

Just had lunch at Yorkshire Tapas. Though they only have a small number of tables, this leads to a lovely atmosphere. The food is fantastic with really friendly service. Could not recommend any higher.

Lovely friendly staff, problem with order sorted straight away. Vegetarian breakfast highly recommended complimentary carrot cake was delicious Thank you

Realmente necesito publicar un mensaje en elogio de los dos tipos que dirigían la tienda Wapping Wharf ayer. Bristol estaba horneando caliente y Swoon era un imán para la gente que quería helado, y había colas todo el día. Struan y Danila estaban trabajando tan duro para servir a todos lo más rápido posible, y sin embargo, a pesar de lo estresante que debe haber sido un día, fueron amables y serviciales para cada persona que los vi servir. ¡Pensé que era importante decir algo para que quien leyera esto supiera que esos tipos fueron más allá para todos ayer!

Early Saturday night dinner- very convenient to our hotel. Only a few other customers but waiter managed to mix up my order and brought the wrong entree. Later he brought us extra napkins that he thought we had requested- what would he do on a busy night? A very limited beer menu - thirst after a long day at the British Museum. My husband ordered a Peroni Zero - was brought a Becks zero - with no explanation of the change. I ordered cider, expecting a British one but it was Italian- actually it was delicious. My husband loved his salmon in lemon sauce entree. My spinach ravioli in Mushroom sauce was good - once it came!

Lovely customer service but unfortunately poor quality cakes. Bought them to go and they were not fresh. The apple cake was very stale and had no taste. The carrot cake was marginally better but still disappointing.
