Prezzo King's Cross Station in Camden

The service was terrible. I nearly missed my train… ….so I didn’t check the bill as thoroughly as I normally would. Got home to discover I had been charged four quid for a glass of tap water I hadn’t asked for and didn’t touch. Naked theft. Plain and simple

We travelled into King's Cross at lunchtime and wanted something filling before we travelled on another train. This restaurant is conveniently situated on the mezzanine floor on the station so easy to access. We booked online only an hour before arrival. However, the restaurant was very quiet (a Wednesday lunchtime in September), and the friendly waitress offered us all tables both inside and out that were not occupied. Service was quite slow, with my wife actually going to the bar to order our drinks. About 10 minutes later, we caught the waitresses eye and ordered our food. To be fair, the food arrived quickly and was piping hot and extremely tasty. I would go back and was not put off by the slight delay in the order being taken. This is mainly due to onward travel plans being fairly flexible. I'm not sure I would have felt the same if I had been in a hurry to catch a specific train.

I have eaten here several time when waiting for trains at Kings Cross. We keep coming back because they have a Gluten Free menu and we can be sure our dietary requirements are being met. This time we were in a rush and the waiter was helpful and we were able to order at and pay all within 40 minutes between trains and still had a full meal. We had the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Crab and Lobster Ravioli with some coffees. The food was satisfactory; typical of an Italian chain. The prices were what one expects in central London.

Travelling via King’s Cross we needed lunch after arriving on our train so decided to try Prezzo. Very convenient welcoming helpful staff and a good variety of food and drink on the menu. Food was delicious - the prawn risotto was super. We went back for lunch the next day as we returned home and the service and food were equally good. Would recommend.

We were looking for a light pizza dinner after a very full day of sightseeing and walking. We chose Prezzo Kings Cross because it was convenient. We were greeted nicely and seated right away. The pizza we ordered arrived a little over 25 minutes later and it was barely warm to the touch. Not a good pizza overall.

We stopped here in the evening for dinner before catching the caledonian sleeper train to Inverness, Scotland. The meal was delicious, the staff were very nice and the location was perfect for us to catch our train after eating. Overall, it was a very good experience and we enjoyed our meal. :)

Having just completed an important, unavoidable, appointment at a London Embassy with my wife at mid-day on the first of June I decided it would be a good idea, as we had time, and not had breakfast prior to catching our 07:00 hrs train in Yorkshire before setting off from home, to have lunch together at our station of departure, Kings Cross. When we previously lived near Chelmsford, and were almost daily travellers to London we frequently dined at our local Prezzo’s restaurant, where we had many good times and excellent meals. Having not travelled out of my new East Yorkshire region for some time I was, post appointment, looking forward to a positive experience at the Station’s mezzanine level Prezzo establishment. We were seated efficiently and at a good table, such as exist, in the setting. However it soon became clear we would have to wait for our order to be taken. In reality not an issue as we had good time margins to catch our departing train. Sadly none of my more favourite items were available any longer and I selected a couple of choices from the light dining or appetizer selection, not actually deciding until the waiter took our orders; often a mistake I find. We decided on a Litre of still water from the menu but only half litre bottles were available and we were mis-sold sparkling as opposed to still that we specifically requested. My Garlic Bread with onions & Mozzarella at £ 6.25 was a massive mis-representation and guilty of, being a total hoax; with no effective quality control this Prezzo serves what its lazy cooks want to. The overcooked and brittle shingle-like ‘garlic bread’ had never seen a whiff of Onion on it or any Balsamic vinegar – there was also a total absence of Mozzarella; essentially an over cooked brittle pizza base that would have served well at a clay pigeon shoot. In contrast my wife’s Tomato Bruschetta, that was a pound cheaper, was rather good. It is not hard to see why Prezzo fell into administration, stay away – rubbish food – worse management.

Note, they do not take Tesco Vouchers. I thought we would pop in while waiting for the train, to find they didn't take Tesco Vouchers. I should have asked first, but nevermind. The menu was standard Prezzo, food to an acceptable standard. Staff were unprofessional, and not very attentive a bit more like greasy spoon style service. Finally, Service Charge added to the bill. Totally shocking. Will NEVER go back.

Reading the menu it was clear this was going to be an expensive eat as I spent an hour waiting for my train north - and economic relief. As I walked in the waiter’s opening words were ‘card payment only’. When I lightly protested at such a discriminatory policy, he was appropriately emollient. I ordered and food came reasonably fast. A lasagne that had been reheated in the microwave. No offer of any Parmesan or other accompaniment. No salad- a common complimentary side in the UK. Portion size fair but smaller than is usual up north. Initially piping hot but as I ate on this rapidly became cool, suggesting a few seconds more on the micro were needed. It was tasty. 500mls sparkling water as well. Bill was a whopping £22.77. They had treated themselves to a 10% ‘optional’ service charge- undeclared on their menu- to their ‘fantastic staff’- who are they? Does this include their managers in head office who concocted this disgusting policy. A tip or gratuity is determined by the customers dis never contractual. Sticking on any extra is totally inappropriate . Try asking for this to. Be removed from your bill. Such corporate arrogance is breathtaking. Not returning. PS I always pay cash under about GBP 50. It is how I have always budgeted and see no reason to change just to suit the whims of businesses like this. The quicker this practice is made illegal the better.

I was early for my train and wanted a little more than a snack so chose Prezzo. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the ‘lunch’ menu was great. I opted for a goats cheese and roasted pepper pizza with a side salad and it was absolutely delicious - very good value too.

We enjoyed a tasty meal here. Staff were efficient and attentive. The venue is clean snd ideally located between Soho and Piccadilly. Drinks were great. Prices average.

We were short on time as we were catching a train, staff were great and assured us that we had sufficient time to eat, we were served quickly by staff that made us feel welcome. The food came in good time and was excellent. I would highly recommend

I was about to enter Prezzo restaurant and as I approached I had some empty coffee cups in my hand. Out of no where this staff member approached shouting handwaving his hands for me to move away. I was taken by surprise and he shouted that I cannot enter with the cups. I asked him where the dustbin was and he said anywhere but in his restaurant. I said that he does not have to be so rude and decided that will not eat at Prezzo as he was so rude and aggressive. So cannot comment on the food, but can certainly comment on the rude staff.

We were getting off a train from Edinburgh and I told my son that we could go eat upstairs at Prezzo. "Why would you do that when you can go eat at so many places outside the train station?" he wondered. But we had luggage and I thought it would be easier and more convenient to eat at the station. I also didn't expect the food to be very good, but that is often the price to pay for convenience. I was right about the convenience. There were many tables around so we could sit with our luggage and be attended. I was happy to be wrong about the quality of the food. We ordered from the lunch menu and the food came out quickly (which would be most appreciated if we were about to get on a train.) I'm not going to say it was gourmet or fine dining, but the pizza and pasta with side salads hit the spot before we had to venture out (into the wind and rain as it happened). I do think this is a good place to grab some food before or after a train.

Stopped here for bite to eat before boarding train. Staff were professional and helpful, their service was excellent. Food was fresh and tasty. Sorry didn't take any photos. Can recommend the Tuscan vegetable soup was so nice and warming on a cold wintery day.

Try it at your own risk! The staff who met us did say that the kitchen closes at 9:00pm, as we were there around 8:40, to which we confirmed if they are happy to take us in, and they gladly said ‘yes’ to. So we ordered in good time and the food arrived very fast (maybe that should’ve triggered some questions, but we did not pay attention to it at the time). We ordered two portions of Pumpkin, Ricotta & Sage Ravioli. The actual ravioli was somewhat edible - the ricotta and pumpkin filling was decent, but the pasta was a tad too al dente as it was chewy and tough (still, not the biggest issue). What was called a ‘roasted mushroom sauce’ (emphasis on the word ‘sauce’) was beyond disappointing. 1. The mushrooms were nowhere near roasted, rather thinly sliced and boiled, and 2. the ‘sauce’ was simply a very watery slush with no flavour other than mushroom (did not feel any spices or condiments, even at least salt or pepper… anything!). The 3 thin pieces of crispy sage were nice… As I love ravioli with almost any possible filling and mushrooms in any possible form, I was actually looking forward for the dish. Unfortunately, the ‘sauce’ destroyed the whole dish. You can’t mess up like this a pasta sauce, even more so in an Italian place. I had half of the ravioli and did not really touch the mushrooms as they were not nice at all. The menu looks great and is promising, but if that is how the dish was supposed to be, then the standard is very low. However, it could be that they rushed to get us out of the way, as we could see them frantically clearing up everything around the kitchen after bringing out our dishes - nevertheless, this cannot be an excuse - if you accept a PAYING customer even towards the end of your shift, you should give the same attention regardless. If you do not want to cook two more dishes, just say the kitchen is closed and be done with it rather than serving sub-par dishes. I, for one, am not really willing to give it another try.

My son and I had a quick lunch while awaiting our train to Edinburgh. The food was decent and the service good. We would chose it again amongst the available choices in Kings Cross Station.

The food there was quite nice- kids meal, pasta etc. However both waiters seemed quite upset, running around the place quite angry :(

My daughter and I went here for a pre- show meal on Saturday 15th October. It was extremely busy and I was concerned that we may have to wait longer than I wanted. My fears were groundless. Our order was taken promptly, the food arrived much quicker than expected. It was only pizza but it was as good as we could have wished. Having finished, the waitress arrived promptly, cleared the table and we didn't have to wait any time for our bill. The whole experience was faultless. Thank you!

Visiting London with family of 7 . They moved tables so we could sit together. We all ordered different meals and we were all pleased and enjoyed our meals. Child menu’s good value. Would recommend

Fun to be in this heritage train station and enjoy a tasty meal too. I had the vegetarian penne and it was so flavourful! The area can be a bit noisy but the food is great.

Dropped in at lunchtime and ate from the Express Lunch menu. Relatively small choice of, I think, four main dishes of which two were spaghetti based. We both had Spaghetti Carbonara with a cold, non-alcoholic drink for £9.95 each. As such good value and hot, tasty with adequate portions and promptly served with friendly service.

Located in the station so it was a good choice for us after travelling. The food was so so. Service was kinda ignorant, I would say. Overall, it's a good choice since it's inside the station.

They really aren’t bothered about you coming back. Garlic bread Uncooked and not interested when complained. Pizza base uncooked and salad had so much dressing it was nearly inedible. Not good

Visité Prezzo en Kensington High Street, antes de ir a ver el Cirque du Soleil @ The Royal Albert Hall el 13 de febrero para una celebración de cumpleaños. Llegamos antes de nuestra mesa reservada, pero fue recibido con una cálida bienvenida y un ambiente relajado. Excelentes opciones de menú y platos cocinados eran excelentes. Servicio muy amable, cálido y eficiente y un personal maravilloso. Gracias equipo por un gran comienzo para mi cumpleaños.

Tuvimos una comida muy agradable aquí. Nos sentamos rápidamente y nos mostraron una gran hospitalidad durante nuestro tiempo en Prezzo. Salvatorre fue muy concienzudo y fue muy acogedor, nos trasladó al interior cuando la temperatura de la estación era demasiado helada. Teníamos algunos alimentos impresionantes que se adaptaron a nuestras necesidades dietéticas. El menú de postres era demasiado bueno para pasarlo por alto. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra primera experiencia Prezzo.

חיפשנו פאסטה והגענו למסעדה הזאת, הושיבו אותנו בקומה שניה וחיכינו וחיכינו וחיכינו ואחרי כ-40 דקות הגיע האוכל ( המלצרית אחרי 10 דקות, השתיה אחרי 20 דקות ), והאוכל היה בינוני השמנת הילדים היתה בלי שום טעם.

Vale a pena! Relação custo e benefício ótimas!!!A casa oferece inúmeros vinhos e um cardápio bem variado! Boa opção para quem quer comer, mas não encontra o que! E sem querer comer hambúrguer, comidas italianas são seeeeeempte bem vindas!!!

Popped in here for a quick meal, it was busy, staff were friendly even though they were a bit under pressure, but they coped well. Food was good, tasty, well cooked, prices were very reasonable, enjoyable visit. Will go again if nearby.

I've generally had poor experiences at chain italians but I very much enjoyed my humus then calzone off the Christmas menu. Not that Christmassy but both very very tasty and served fast enough for me not to miss my train

I arrived at around 2100, ordered a pasta with chicken. They served it quickly and it was a big and tasty dish. Really great place.

As I was alone with a case, I selected Prezzo as you were greeted, seated and received table service whereas all the other places on the balcony were "order at the bar". I had spaghetti with king prawns, tiramisu and a glass of white.

Maybe it's just me but I never expect a lot from railway station food so it was good to find that the food at Prezzo was well above what we expected. Three main meals ordered and all very good. My pizza was on a thin light base, good toppings and came in good time. Impressed to see people queuing while other outlets had space. Reasonable prices for the location. Recommended.

Wanting a quick drink and maybe something to eat we opted for this Italian place in King's Cross Station. (I recommend you try to find a table inside, outside can be chilly this time of the year). The drinks were good and we tried their big beef meatballs which were well spiced but could have been better, and more tender, had some veal been mixed in. The tomato sauce was quite good.

I was not really looking for a restaurant, just somewhere to have a drink and kill time before the football match at Milton Keynes Stadium.

Just got into London to catch a train this place is pleasant and the service was good breakfast was full English and very nice also good value.

Meanwhile kitchen staff make perfect food fastly and customers leave always cash tips and positive comments, the kitchen staff never receive from cash tips. With leaving cash tips the customers are appreciate not only the bar service but they also appreciate food quality as well. As in the restaurants all over the world the cash tips is shared between of kitchen staff (chefs, kitchen porters) and floor staff (waiters, management team and bar staff), it would have to be shared based on the real intention of customers. Also avoiding tension between of the two sections.

I was traveling to London by myself for the first time today and I am so happy that I came here. The staff made me feel so welcome and the food was absolutely fantastic. The manager Miro went above and beyond to ensure my dietary needs were met. Thank you so much.

Impossibly hot dishwater disguised as coffee. Neither the cappuccino nor the latté were drinkable until we were far away. They really do taste like dishwater. I would not buy their coffee again.

Busy place on veranda overlooking Kings Cross concourse. Vegetarian breakfasts superb, coffee & tea superb, friendly staff and all at a very reasonable price. The rest of the menu including pizzas looked very appetising. Definitely one to visit again when waiting for a train.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene con la cena prezzo. Cercavamo un menù Gluten free per la nostra Giulia, siamo entrati con curiosità ed abbiamo provato le loro proposte. Tutto molto bene, le nostre ragazze soddisfatte sono volute tornare. La pasta cotta al dente buona, la pizza fina e croccante lo stesso buona il prezzo, visto che siamo Londra buono.

Después de estar en el fútbol durante unas horas, me di cuenta de lo hambriento que estaba y pensé que la pasta sonaba bien. Recomiendo el Oak Smoke Salmon Penne, ¡estaba delicioso! El servicio fue excelente y todo el personal parece muy amable y servicial. Tampoco tuvimos cambios y la máquina de tarjetas no ofrecía una opción de propinas, así que pensé en escribir una reseña. Definitivamente volveremos cada vez que esté en Londres.

Had lunch with my family, enjoyed my meal. The staff were great, friendly and accommodating. The servings were generous and delicious. Will be happy to come back again.

En el zoológico, que es la estación de Kings Cross, la ubicación en la terraza de Prezzo es un pequeño oasis, aunque ruidoso. El servicio fue bastante bueno, aunque el entorno sugiere prestar atención a los bolsos y la chaqueta. El servidor no parecía entender que el agua de San Pellegrino está brillando. Un entrante de picaduras de pizza fue muy decepcionante, y consistió en poco más que masa de pizza. La mantequilla de ajo que la acompañaba era buena, pero noté que las pizzas en las mesas adyacentes tenían una apariencia que no toleraría en un restaurante de pizzas.

Had lunch at Prezzo King’s Cross Station once again today. Every time I make my way through London I browse every menu that is on offer in the station and, if you are like me and like eating proper food that has been cooked by a real chef and served by professional waiters that have the manners you should expect, then think no more. The only option is Prezzo. The food is good as is their drinks list and they also have set menus with plenty of choices for an excellent price.

I only popped in for a drink to see my partner off on his wkend training and ended up staying after he left as the place has a comfortable friendly feel. Waiter Filip remembered my drink n Julio made it in super time. Well worth a visit whilst awaiting yr train n fair prices too.

This was my 2nd visit at Prezzo Kings Cross and this time i and my friend's had such good time that we're not forget for ling period off time.

Requested for no ham on the tropicana pizza and they did a special order for us. Pleasant time here though it gets a little crowded! Would recommend the Lobster Ravioli (make sure to finish it while it’s still hot)

Just a full breakfast, fantastic. Quality sausages, good size portions and if you don’t want anything you can swap it for something else. The cost for a restaurant in a railway station was fantastic, but even for London I thought it was cheap.

I ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and avocado for breakfast. I was presented with minimal smoked salmon, brown avocado and incredibly dry scrambled eggs. Upon receiving the bill, I noted to the waitress that my breakfast was listed as 'eggs on toast' when I'd not ordered toast. When she returned to the table, she made a point of announcing rather loudly and sassily "we've taken off the 50p for the bread" as if to disparage me in front of the other diners. The entire visit left me upset and with a sour taste in my mouth. I was a regular customer at this Prezzo as I travel to and from King's Cross often, however I won't be returning.

Went for an all day breakfast. Very reasonable price for a fantastic meal. Perfectly cooked. Service was excellent. Would recommend this place anytime.

When there yesterday after GFW, had a lovely meal, it was a set menu, well had to ask for the set menu. Two courses for £16.95 or three for £19.95. The choice was good and food was nice, the only thing I would say was there should of asked if we would like any dressings before quickly walking off

At the end of 2 days walking round the sights we arrived at Kings X early for our train so decided to relax with a meal and a welcome drink. Anti-pasta, garlic bread and fries with the most excellent italian cold beers. The service and friendliness of the staff was brilliant and the food very good. A nice place to take the weight of your feet and enjoy a good meal while waiting for the train home.

There's a clump of restaurants on the upper level in KX - but this one is by far the best. Miro and the crew delivered great food quickly upon request and I'm now done with time to spare! I rarely leave tips but these guys earned theirs. Thanks Miro!

Called in for lunch on the way for train. Looked after by a very friendly lady. Pasta dishes were decicious, pizza was lovely. Desserts were absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced. Thank you

Went for a meal whilst awaiting a train.

24 April stopped here for breakfast. Food WOULD have been amazing if it was hot, we had to send our first eggs Benedict back because the eggs we uber overcooked, second attempt came out looking (and tasting) great, except for the fact it was stone cold.

Stopped for breakfast on Saturday morning, the menu is pretty good and the service was quick and friendly.

This restaurant is upstairs just opposite the train information board. It situated among other eateries and the only Italian restaurant, I chose this restaurant because it serves pasta which my daughter only likes(fussy eater) we were offered the table quite quickly. The menu consists your standard dishes which is often serve in all chain Italian restaurant. We ordered just one starter which was hummus with bread and the mains were salmon with penn pasta and chicken bacon penn pasta. My daughter had the children's 3 course meal consisting bread dip,pasta with cheese and ice cream. Our mains were good but it had too much salt. We used to go out a lot but stopped because the restaurants these days often put too much salt in their food. The service overall was good, very fast and I recommend the pizza as its a open kitchen and one can see their pizza being cooked. The reason we didn't have it because we wanted a light lunch, pizza will be too much for us. This place is good if your are very fast light lunch

Two of us ordered eggs Benedict. First plates turned up with solid, overcooked egg yolks. We asked for eggs with runny yolks please, which arrived within a good time span. However, the muffin, bacon, and hash brown were cold, the eggs just about warm. We didnt send the food back again as we were hungry and had a train to catch. The waiter did ask when we'd finished how our food was and we replied that it tasted good but was spoilt by the fact that it was cold, he just replied "oh, ok" - no apology or offer to rectify. Also the milk jug that turned up with my tea was filthy. Staff were not particularly friendly or efficient.

Had breakfast here yesterday while waiting for a train to Durham. There were about 4 customers so trading was not brisk.

Had time to kill at the station so picked presto to have nice dinner. Had Fried mozzarella, followed by a burger. both were tasty - the tomato sauce with the mozzarella was a bit bland and needed quite a bit of seasoning to pep it up.

Really busy day, the station was heaving. We had to wait 10 mins for a table, but once we had ordered got our food in 15 mins. Food and service were brilliant. The manager was great, he was friendly and funny, despite being run off his feet.

I have been many times at Prezzo in King's Cross Station and I am always very impressed by the staff, who is friendly, efficient and very fast. This is very important for a restaurant located in a railway station, so I know that in this restaurant I can have a good meal in a short timeframe, while I wait for the next train. Today and various other times I have been served by Nuria.

As we were in Kings Cross Station we didn’t have high expectations, however I have to concede that the food was excellent and the service was just as good. The waiters were friendly and all four of us enjoyed the food. The only negative, which wasn’t the restaurants fault was that during our meal a tramp stood at our table asking for change and it was very uncomfortable. The waiter apologised but again it wasn’t his fault. Great food, great service. Impressed!

Great service with good food. They don't accept Tesco Clubcsrd vouchers. The calamari wasn't as I expected. The Caramel Tart was awesome.

I almost missed my train because of the dreadfully slow service at Prezzo.

The crispy calamari I was served did not contain too many traces of calamari. It was basically dry, overly fried bread crumbs. The pasta was mediocre—how can they get pasta wrong!? Having been in other prezzo restaurants before, I’d say this problem is specific to this restaurant in King’s X.

It was a pleasure to have lunch in Prezzo Restaurant since the food was delicious and I was really well served by their wonderful staff and service.
