Great neighbourhood restaurant. Very buzzy on a Friday night with people of all ages. Felt cosy and local. Started with the beef bresaola - delicious and highly recommend. Then had he tagliatelle bolognese - more disappointing, had expected a tastier, richer sauce. However perhaps this is how it's traditionally done. The breeze-block of tiramisu to finish was ideal.

Got shrimp mushroom pasta, didn’t taste good…

Visited with friends on Saturday as a returning visitor. Food was exceptional as always. Great portion sizes and authentic dishes. The restaurant was extremely busy but despite this we received great service. Nice to go to an independent restaurant and not a chain. Keep up the great work

Such a cute spot! Went for a mid week date night and it was the perfect choice. Authentic chill atmosphere with a great wine selection. Def revisiting

Note, this is the first review of a restaurant I have ever written in my life. However, I couldn't resist sharing my experience. At first everything started out perfectly normal. The place was very busy and we got the last table right next to a busy street where cars where driving and next to a huge pile of thrash. We managed to change seats, no effort was taken by staff in this account. When the waitress prepared the cuttlery I only got a knife and fork (no napkin) my girlfriend was overlooked. We were completely ignored for about 20 min before signaling the waiter that we were ready to order. Our bevarage took another 15 min to be served (coke light), Pizza about additional 25 min. When we were finished we tried to signal the waiters that we were ready to pay and also would like the remaining slices to be prepared for take-a-way. One time the waitress looked me into the eye while i was signaling her and she completely ignored me. We talked to two different waiters that we would like to pay. However no one seemed to care for about 20 min. I got up to pay inside, while I was inside standing in front of the waiter, the pizza chef mockingly asked behind my back if the pizza was good? Furhermore I asked to be given a box. A waiter went back to the restaurant and came back with a dozen boxes. However, he did not hand me one instead he stored them next to the pizza oven right before my eye. I was annoyed because nobody made any effort to give me a box so I demanded one. After paying and receiving the box I went back to the table, where the waitress had in the mean time brought a little plastic container outside that was to small to fit the slices. I know that the restaurant was really packed but I really did not have a great experience. However pizza was quite good not gonna lie.

This was a delivery. We ordered a pizza and a seafood risotto topped with a fish fillet. The pizza was great and the seafood risotto was outstanding. Even though it was delivered, the calamari rings were not rubbery at all. Just keep in mind that they probably make the risotto fresh so it will take a bit longer. But it’s worth the wait!

I guess it is alright if you call this a ‘pizza’. yes, to be fair, we didn’t receive it like this - there was a little bit of ‘pre-handling’ but thats not an excuse. Cheese shouldn’t collect like this, ham should never taste smokey, and a naked floppy piece of dough is a sight no man should ever see.

The combination of high quality of both food and service makes this place a must try restaurant. Fabrizio our waiter was especially helpful. This restaurant is definitely has a great authentic feel. The owner Mimmo was polite and conversed with us nicely as well, and adds to the authenticity. I had rated this 5 stars back in 2021 but having been back in 2024 after a few years, the quality of food has gone down. The service is still impeccable. I’d give it another try perhaps in a few years.

Great pizza, reasonable prices, friendly service.

Sat down outside with a few friends for an early lunch. My pasta with sausage and courgette was really good, and the pizza looked authentic and delicious. Service was attentive. Just a really good all-round experience

DELICIOUSO😋😍 Absolutely the best summer spot (MIMMO LA BUFALA),We had a lovely table outside on a fresh sunny day, A warm welcoming by outstanding pretty staffs followed by a nice aperol spiritz with some traditional focaccia with a touch of chilly oil on side and some green olives which were so refreshing. The well experienced waiter amazed us proposing some specials , we had a couple of special starters like asparagus with fried egg served with toasted bread which were so yummy😋, followed by the classic seafood linguini and pasta tagliatelle fillet of beef , Mamma Mia , it was filled with flavours with a couple of glasses of wine. Even though it was busy , the waiters done an excellent job. We couldn’t say no for the fresh homemade desserts they serve like tiramisu, the almond mousse and the hot chocolate fundae. MUST TRY GUYS

I've been to this Italian restaurant over 50 times, and it never disappoints! The pasta is always cooked to perfection, and the flavors are consistently incredible. The cozy and inviting ambiance makes it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a great experience every time.

We had an amazing dinner at Mimmo. The waitress, Elsa, was a massive highlight - she is so helpful and charismatic. We loved the truffle tagliatelle and orecchiette.

I was there last Monday bank holiday with a friends from Italy,the restaurant was empty,only 3 tables,the food was okay,but the service was terrible,no service at all,we had to get some attention try calling because the waiter was all the time on his phone.No good experience,my first and last visit

I absolutely love this place. Slowly becoming a go to nice dinner evening. The food is unbeatable, not too expensive for what you get (incl ambiance) - and brilliant staff. Just an unbeleivable friendly Italian place

I had lunch with my friend , the food arrived cold, it was a pappardelle prawns and mushrooms , only one prawn , the pasta wasn’t good, the waiter didn’t asked me why I left all my food on the plate, I had to order pizza to take away, we payed the service charge. Disappointed with the service and the plates dirty were on our table forever. Poor service quality , unfortunately!! I Don’t recommend

Mimmo Mia ! How much I've missed Ya !.. Great atmosphere, a warm welcome from the boss, and ( if you pick the right dishes) great food. Service was a bit chaotic ( no table ready even though we'd booked ahead and I even rang about 30 minutes before we arrived to request a nice table as it was our birthdays) ..but the place was packed out with visitors to the Heath after a scorcher of a day so we can forgive the over-worked staff. A big shout out to the lady who seemed to be head waitress and was the true star of the show. I didn't catch your name but Mimmo owes you, as you alone saved our experience from descending into disappointment. We used to feel Fratelli (as it was known) wasn't cheap but offered an experience for a special occasion. Over the years other eateries locally have increased their prices significantly and new entrants are almost invariably expensive, so now Mimmo offers attractive value. BUT please keep an eye on the quality right across the menu..my Pizza was fine as was my son's spaghetti Vongole but our starters, and my wife's risotto, were underwhelming.

Chose Mimmo’s for my birthday dinner last night with a group of my friends. Atmosphere here is great. Although they were very busy the waitresses worked hard to accommodate us and we received excellent service. Food was fantastic as usual!

Very delicious food👍🏻 Parmigiana di Melanzane was rich in flavour Buffalo Mozzarella cheese with Tomato and green pesto was very fresh and yummy 🤤 For pasta, I highly recommend the tagliatelle with beef 😍 the butter and sage sauce was very creamy and rich Portion was great and service was amazing

What used to be a great Italian has fallen away since our last visit. Food was ok but the quality of the service left a lot to be desired. We were relatively lucky as we saw one table wait for 45 minutes before being served any drinks, a group of six ladies who arrived shortly after us were only being served their food by the time we left and a couple of tables gave up and left the wait was so bad. For us, it appeared the staff had their priorities in the wrong place. I don't see how they couldn't have clocked that people had been left unattended for so long (perhaps they couldn't cope was the volume of takeaway orders in combination with those eating-in) but we had to ask for the bill four times and the wait staff once you got their attention just seemed to return to cleaning glasses and cutlery. Probably won't be returning any time soon.

The ac was broken leaving the room incredibly warm. It was totally understaffed on a Saturday night and the wrong food came after a very long wait. The food was great however the experience was spoilt by the poor service and the heat.

It was one of the best experiences I have ever had in London. The food was good and authentic, the portion is big, but the best part is the service!! A big big thank you to Sidhardh! He had recommended us some good dishes, explained to us the history of the restaurant, and especially, he was so patient, calm, and kind in any way of the service. That is the time I really want to pay the service charge.

The only dishes that looked good were pizza and pasta on the other tables. We had expected great Italian dishes as listed on their menu and gone there to celebrate Mother’s Day! Over priced and underwhelming dishes spoilt the occasion. We were disappointed.

Went on Valentines Day. It was incredibly busy which caused issues with noise, crowdedness and slow service but everyone working there was friendly throughout. The food was a huge let down. They weren’t serving pizza that night which is the main reason lots of people booked (including us) but there was no warning about this beforehand. We opted for pasta instead and it was very average - lacked seasoning and wasn’t cooked very well. The portion sizes are big but the lack of flavour means it wasn’t worth the price. I’ve heard the pizza is amazing so may return to try that, but wouldn’t visit again if pizza wasn’t on the menu.

Nice place, good and testy food, generous portions, slow service, we ordered 1 bottle of Water 5 times, and it was only delivered to us at the time of dessert, we ordered a focaccia, which never arrived and was added to the final bill. when booking no one told us that they couldn't make pizzas that day. I'm sorry, because the food was good, I'll probably go back

On our arrival, after being sat, a waiter informed us that there was no pizza for the day, because apparently their pizza chef was off. Now, how on earth, on a place famous for its pizza there is no pizza chef on Valentine's day? Even though it seems an excuse, more likely the guy was left at home because of the delivery riders strike and the lack of bookings, why they did not informed us that they were not serving pizzas? They had my WhatsApp number, and were very quick on sending me their bank details to pay the £30 per person to reserve the table. Perhaps they were hoping that we ordered something else, but they suggested to have a focaccia, which was left on the oven bench at the entrance, and must have been done yesterday as they did not have the pizza chef today. Another point for me to don't go there again is the dirtiness, the menus were filthy, stained of oil and with pieces of what seemed mince meat or bolognese sauce. The red flag should have been that all the restaurant in the area were full and there was totally empty! Oh and being Valentine's day we ended up going back home and having a kebab. Once was a great restaurant, now is a joke!

A restaurant with deep Italian roots, we had margherita pizza as starter and then filetto cooked perfectly. Enjoyed a bottle of cannonau, finishing with a tiramisù Top notch

Really terrible experience for a Sunday night. There was almost no service it was that bad. The staff unfortunately need a lot more training when it comes to service. The food was okay, nothing special. We waited 45 mins for the food to arrive.

I booked a birthday meal here and most of the evening was lovely. The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice. Unfortunately the night turned sour when a waiter spilled an amaro (dark liquor) on one of our party’s white jumper. We were understanding and carried on with our evening. However, when the bill arrived, we asked for the service charge to be removed (because of the jumper incident), and were met with hostility. The hostess, instead of immediately removing the service charge, asked who spilled the amaro, and when we pointed out the waiter and he was called over, he denied it. The hostess did not apologise and was rude. A very bad end to an otherwise pleasant evening.

Take this review as just one dining experience ... The food for lunch was a solid 3/5 and well executed, but nothing stood out. The bruschetta and rucola starters were good, the spaghetti aglio e olio and orecchiette pastas were cooked correctly and the spinach & broccoli sides were good. The prices for all of the menu items are fair. The service let down the restaurant today.. Waiters would not come to take orders even after being asked and promising to do so. We were asked to move tables mid-meal and brusquely shunted our of the way by an incoming table of eight. The request to speak to the manager was ignored despite us quietly and politely giving up the table to help the restaurant. The restaurant is child friendly, with multiple tables of children running around. The party we gave up our table for happily changed dirty nappies on the restaurant table beside us. A restaurant cannot decide who their guests are, but some degree of hygiene from everyone is fair to ask for. The ambience was ruined by the experience today. The actual restaurant and location is nice, the tables are well spaced, the table settings are good, so at another time it should be very pleasant.

Our daughter wanted to make sure we would like her boyfriend, so she brought us here. It is an exquisite restaurant. I am Italian and they served us some great Italian food. Really worth the price.

We passed this restaurant by chance. It had an interesting menu and inviting seatings, small but intimate. (We later discovered that there was a larger section tucked at the back). My wife's seafood risotto was full of flavour, and the rice was cooked just to the right texture. My folded pizza had one of the nicest doughs I have tried recently and had generous toppings. Service was warm, and prices were fair for the area. We will certainly come again next time we are in the area.

Delicious calzone, parmigiana and pizzas, fantastic service from Dea (who prioritised our kid and brought some bread to him) and overall a great experience with lovely atmosphere. Definitely will be back and highly recommend this place to anyone.

The food was incredible. I had the paccheri (a bit let down by the presentation, but the meal itself was delicious). My fiancée had the risotto and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service is a let down. My friend was asked and re-asked, and the wait staff were confused about whether they had Coke Zero or Diet Coke. Waiting for the bill took a while as well. There's a lovely bit of Al fresco dining too.

Unfortunately we will not go back there again. Seafood risotto tastes salty, tagliatelle is breaking apart. As other reviewers said, not feeling authentic Italian food. Won’t recommend to family, can order order half portion for kids but pricy. Piccola and L’Antica in the same area is so much better.

Very average food, incredible hot room we couldn’t wait to get out in the evening, staff untrained and not able to answer much about food. They could do so much better with this location. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a special occasion.

Servers seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The risotto was basically raw. The pizzas were fine but nothing special. Calamari tasted frozen and everything was incredibly salty Frankly the amount of money charged for the quality of service and food was sub-par. Definitely better places to spend near enough 100 quid in Southend green

I’ve been 3x to this restaurant now, and every time the service is as bad. On most recent visit, went inside, asked for a table (after being ignored by maitre’d for 5 minutes) and was told to wait. Several waiters passed me, the maitre’d maintained her position by the till, but no table was ever given. We gave up after a further 10 minutes and left. On the previous 2 visits we did manage to get a table, but the service was incredibly slow. The waiters seem trained in the art of attending to one table and then quickly rushing indoors without passing a glance to other tables who may need help. Maybe they are understaffed, but being aware of the restaurant space and customers is the first rule of serving tables. On my first visit, I complained about the service to the owner who happened to be there. He was very brief with us - I would go as far to say rude. He said restaurant was very busy and we’d just have to wait for our main courses. Our starters had been cleaned away over 20 minutes previously. He later came over and apologised which is why I gave the restaurant a second go. Second visit, we sat outside again. Same very slow, very inattentive service. The bill took so long to come, I was considering just walking off. So why come back a third time after such bad service? Well, if you do manage to eat, the food is actually really good. Well cooked, traditional Italian style and really good pizzas too. I won’t be back a fourth time. I’ve given this restaurant every chance (and my visits are over a 2 year period so they have had plenty of time to sort their service out). And if the owner is happening to read this, just imagine how much business/money you are losing through your poor waiting staff? I have no doubt many, many other people simply leave after waiting to get a table and being ignored.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of a London suburb... my son called the focaccia Bread his favorite all-time... pizza tasted like every ingredient was freshly made this morning. Chicken was seasoned to perfection and so moist. An amazing eatery that you should definitely check out... kid friendly and adult approved!

The food was excellent and a good selection of wines , of which we tried a few😃 It was a birthday celebration and so all started with a cocktail to start the evening with a bang. Staff were friendly and looked after us really well and although the restaurant was busy we certainly did not feel neglected. All enjoyed the evening thoroughly and will certainly be visiting again.

Great evening meal, good service

Unfortunately this is not an Italian I'd return to again, the restaurant itself was charming and the waiter was trying his best to serve us well. Though there were a few pointers that let me down, the cutlery was dirty, the crab patties were still frozen in the middle, the seafood linguine was luke warm, pasta was a little over Al dente and the seafood just seemed exhausted. The pizza dough however seemed lovely and doughy. I think if you eat here then get the pizza but everything else needs some work, I didn't get that authentic Italian taste from the pasta at all.

Breads and pizzas are worth going for, however the spaghetti vongole lacked any flavour.

The bill showed something completely different from the menu. Food was average.

I came here on my wedding anniversary, we had a lovely evening The food was amazing. I highly recommend this little place in hampered. We were looked after by Roberto such a pleasant man. The only downside was that day the pizza oven was getting cleaned. So I will def come back to try out the pizza. And the music was amazing all evening. If you like the 80s and older 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Went there for a date with my partner and happy to see that the place was still up and doing well! Roberto and Mohamad looked after us all night and were amazing, along with this very Italian atmosphere that not many Italians restaurants have in London. Will always come back with a smile 🥰

Recently dined here on a Saturday night. Felt they tried to put as many tables in as possible as hardly much space between tables. Food was okay but meals not served at the same time and sides appeared late. Not sure if they were short staff but service sadly let them down this evening.

I used to live in Italy for many years. My children like pizza,pasta and all the Italian dishes. We have been here in London since 2019 . We didn’t find a real Italian restaurant like yours. It is the most traditional Italian restaurant which I have ever seen . They have the best pizza you may have not eaten before . Please go and try it .

We went here for my mums birthday on 15th October and it was lovely! I cannot recommend enough. We had a lovely dinner service from a gentlemen called Mohamed. He was very attentive. The overall ambience of the restaurant is lovely. The food was tasty.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews. And I want to say from the outset that I had a good meal here about 6 months ago. But tonight’s experience was awful. Granted a huge table of 20 overwhelmed the restaurant, servers and the kitchen. We could see that and tried to be patient while we sat for more than an hour without service. My salad arrived looking like it had been assembled by a child. Still, we held on to our sympathy until my main arrived and was inedible. I ordered fish. It had the texture and consistency of microwaved chicken. We were meant to be taking a friend out for a little celebration, but it was just embarrassing and maddening. I would like to see this restaurant survive. They shouldn’t book so many tables if the staff and kitchen can’t handle them.

Had to return here again after visiting previously. The food is still as delicious as I remember. The portions are generous and the food is full of flavour.

Wir haben uns nur spontan für den Besuch bei Mimmo entschieden, aber waren von dem leckeren Essen vollkommen begeistert. Insbesondere die Gnocchi und den Mozzarella muss man probieren! Der Service war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns von Anfang bis Ende sehr wohl gefühlt. Wer die italienische Küche liebt (und wer tut das nicht?!), muss einmal hier gegessen haben!

We got there by chance, we were a bit hungry and we saw rhe restaurant just across the road. We approached the restaurant, one of the nicests decisions. The owner is supernice and charming, the staff is really attentive and superquick and the most important thing, the food is veery good, I lived 2 years in Italy and this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been. I will gladly go again to check if it can be the best!

Returned here with 3 friends after previous visits. We shared 2 pizzas to start which were beautifully cooked from the wood oven I then decided to try a special of the day- paccherri pasta with prawns and pistachio. What a delicious dish. Generous portion and well presented.My friends had sea bass with zucchini crust, orrechietti a la sofia and spaghetti with clams. Everyone was satisfied and impressed with their dishes Service was very friendly and attentive Overall fantastic food, lovely ambiance and good service

We actually went late on Saturday night and was unsure if we’d be able to get food, however they were very welcoming, I ordered calamari to start which was AMAZING and various pasta dishes for mains. From start to finish the food and service was impeccable. One of the best Italian restaurants around the area. Susy served us and she was so lovely, very friendly and recommended a lovely wine that went down a treat. Thank you all for the lovely night me and my husband celebrated for our anniversary. We will definitely be back.

We got served uncooked fish at the restaurant. We were assured by the manager that it was cooked, when infact another waiter honestly revealed to us that the fish was indeed not cooking properly. Extremely disappointed to have received such terrible service and bad hygiene for restaurant standards.

This place is strategically located opposite Hampstead Heath. I have eaten at it a few times - tried their pizza, chicken and steak dishes, which were very good. Their focaccia bread is out of this world! The service is excellent with very friendly & attentive staff.

Very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of Hampstead Heath: I've been to the place several times and have always enjoyed it. Having Italian blood myself, I can vouch for the authenticity of the cuisine. It is exactly as it should be. I also like the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the place. In addition, it's very well located in front of Hampstead Heath park entrance. Lastly, it's also worth mentioning that I used the take-away service offered by Mimmo La Bufala on a few occasions and the food was always ready on time! A very nice Italian place indeed.

My friend and I had a three course meal last night and he was blown away with the quality of the food as well. Arancini and aubergine parmigiana to start were cooked to perfection, a crab linguine and a pizza for mains which were sensational - the pizza crust was just divine. And then a chocolate pudding with a melting middle, cooked freshly for me, and a tiramisu for my friend which he claimed to be the best he'd ever had💫 The staff didn't rush to make use leave even though we were the last there and were brilliantly attentive. All in all, a fabulous night in the cool evening eating al fresco.

Pizza was completely burn, literally black. Plus wrong tipping.... Staff shouting at each other most of the time, cursing at each other in italian(I'm italian I understand...) infront of costumers Sad because used to be one of the best Italian restaurants in the area
