They over-charged us an extra portion of chips that we never ordered. As partially sighted, maybe they thought we wouldn't spot it, but we did. They assured it was a mistake and we would get a refund within 2 days, but 2 weeks have gone past and no refund yet: we feel cheated, lied to and robbed.

I visited Zizzi today with my family and honestly the service was appalling. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, even though two members of staff saw us waiting at the door. When finally getting seated we once again waited a while for someone to take our order which would be excusable if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t. Our food was all very nice hence the 2 star rating. Our mains arrived before we even finished our starters, when the starters were taken away all of our cutlery was taken with it and we had to ask for new sets of cutlery to be able to eat our food. While eating our mains we were not checked on once and as we finished we tried calling a server over to order our desserts (as we ordered the 3 course set menu) but we were quite honestly ignored by the staff after multiple members look at our table and even made eye contact with me. A couple tries and around 10 minutes later we were able to order our desserts. When it was time for our payment we asked a server for the bill who was more than happy to give it to us, we also asked if we could use a discount we had, which she agreed to. A couple moments later the, seemingly, manager came over and asked to see our discount again, he then rudely and confrontationally asked us quite personal and unreasonable questions about the discount. In the end we ended up receiving our discount, but it shouldn’t have been this difficult. Overall, our experience with the more higher staff like the manager and those not wearing a uniform was not good as they were in general quite rude. However, the food was delicious and the atmosphere wasn’t too bad even though there were some things that could've been better.

Hicimos nuestro pedido y nuestras bebidas llegaron bastante rápido. Pedimos nuestra comida y mi calzone llegó unos 10 minutos antes que la pizza de mi hermana, así que terminamos comiendo por separado. Mi calzone estaba empapado y como se servía en una tabla en lugar de en un plato, me preocupaba que el líquido acuoso que salía de mi pizza cuando la cortaba goteara por el borde. La comida era mediocre en el mejor de los casos. En ningún momento nadie vino a ver si todo estaba bien o si necesitábamos algo (por lo que perdió en la posible venta de más bebidas). Cuando nos limpiaron los platos, el camarero preguntó si queríamos postre. Dijimos que nos gustaría ver el menú, pero esto nunca apareció, así que cuando finalmente logramos llamar la atención de alguien, solo pedimos la cuenta, pagamos y dejamos... más ventas perdidas para ti. No hay absolutamente nada acogedor en este restaurante y definitivamente no volveré a esta sucursal de Zizzi.

Service was terrible. They didn’t seem to know what was going on. My partner received the wrong starter. They tried bringing over his main before even finishing his starter or clearing our plates. The chocolate melt had obviously been sat out for a while as the centre wasn’t melting but the ice cream had. Probably won’t be eating here again.

Ragu de ternera fue disfrutado por mi marido al igual que el salado helado de caramelo. Me and my partner went to Central St Giles Zizzi’s on Monday evening and I must say, it was probably one of my worst experience in terms of customer service ever. I would like to start this review by saying that we don’t usually leave reviews, but after last night, felt compelled to do so. We were welcomed by a man who seemed unhappy and bored, with no warmth whatsoever and brought to our table where menus were given with no explanation whatsoever. At that point, me and my girlfriend looked at each other thinking that there was a strange vibe going on. After not even 5 minutes, that same server came asking if we’re ready to order , even though we were both still looking at the menu. We went on to ordering drinks and were told that they were out of beer, coke and sprite because the delivery was arriving the day after. Now, we both work in hospitality so we do understand that, the problem lies elsewhere. The waiter told us that without any apologies or any attention to the customer. But anyway. After ordering drinks, another server came around to give them to us, alongside the pasta crisps (Zizzi’s signature) that we both really like. He put them on our table after taking them away half a second later, realising we had the bottle with the yellow flower which meant that someone at the table was Gluten Free. We explained to him that my girlfriend had no problem with crossed-contamination and that we would still like them on our table. He explained the logistics around food safety (which we both understand completely as we also work in hospitality as I said) but despite our effort to make him understand that it was our choice and it was fine, he took them away anyway. And was rather firm. Again very different to happy customer service. What a good start to our meal. We then went on to waiting at least 20 minutes before someone came to take our food order. The server that came, who was the one that welcomed us, was chatting to his colleagues whilst attending us which I found profoundly disrespectful. My partners pizza arrived first and there was no sign of my pasta. Simply because they had forgotten it clearly. My partner kindly waited for me, as we wanted to eat together. That meant that her pizza was almost cold by the time my pasta finally arrived (10 minutes later). I would like to add that during the entire time, the chefs in the kitchen were arguing quite loudly, and unlucky for Zizzi’s, their kitchen is open to everyone. One of the chefs would slam plates down which was extremely annoying, as we were sat not far from them at all. Overall, everyone in that venue seemed in a bad mood and acted as if it was busy and they had no time to properly attend their guests, but I counted 9 tables for 4 waiters whilst we were there, which from my experience is far from a busy shift. Other customers were also struggling to get a servers attention so it clearly wasn’t just us!

Fuimos recibidos por un hombre que parecía infeliz y aburrido, sin ningún tipo de calidez y llevados a nuestra mesa donde se daban menús sin explicación alguna. En ese momento, mi novia y yo nos miramos pensando que había un ambiente extraño. Después de ni siquiera 5 minutos, ese mismo servidor vino preguntando si estamos listos para ordenar , a pesar de que ambos seguíamos mirando el menú. Pasamos a pedir bebidas y nos dijeron que se habían quedado sin cerveza, coca y sprite porque la entrega estaba llegando al día siguiente. Ahora, los dos trabajamos en hostelería así que entendemos que el problema está en otro lado. El camarero nos dijo que sin ninguna disculpa o atención al cliente. Pero de todos modos. Después de pedir bebidas, vino otro servidor a darnoslas, junto con las pastas fritas (la firma de Zizzi) que nos gustan mucho a los dos. Los puso en nuestra mesa después de llevárselos medio segundo después, dándose cuenta de que teníamos la botella con la flor amarilla, lo que significaba que alguien en la mesa estaba libre de gluten. Le explicamos que mi novia no tenía ningún problema con la contaminación cruzada y que todavía nos gustaría que estuvieran en nuestra mesa. Él explicó la logística en torno a la seguridad alimentaria (que ambos entendemos por completo, ya que también trabajamos en hostelería como dije), pero a pesar de nuestro esfuerzo para hacerle entender que era nuestra elección y estaba bien, se los llevó de todos modos. Y fue bastante firme. De nuevo muy diferente al servicio al cliente feliz. Qué buen comienzo de nuestra comida. Luego pasamos a esperar al menos 20 minutos antes de que alguien viniera a tomar nuestro pedido de comida. El servidor que vino, que fue el que nos dio la bienvenida, estaba charlando con sus colegas mientras nos atendía, lo que me pareció profundamente irrespetuoso. Mis socios llegaron primero y no había señales de mi pasta. Simplemente porque lo habían olvidado claramente. Mi compañero amablemente me esperó, ya que queríamos comer juntos. Eso significaba que su pizza estaba casi fría para cuando mi pasta finalmente llegó (10 minutos después). Me gustaría añadir que durante todo el tiempo, los chefs en la cocina estaban discutiendo muy alto, y desafortunadamente para Zizzi, su cocina está abierta a todos. 2025 UPDATE - We were seated quite sharply by a server, the server took our order and it was delivered quickly and once they served you the food, they often look away from you. Unfortunately we waited around 20 minutes to pay the bill as there were servers disappearing left, right and center. The restaurant was busy when we booked but we didn’t wait long to get to our table. The service was quick. There is variety on the menu for all people with different preferences. The food was served quickly and was delicious. I would recommend visiting here.

Atrocious food, and i was a Zizzi fan. Sent back 2x dishes, nearly a third but that was now getting embarrassing. Two overcooked salmons, nowhere near pan fried, congealed pasta, then a meant to be a hot desert that hadn't been anywhere near a cooker. If that wasn't bad enough, then immediately afterwards, both of us were immediately ill.

When I asked for it to be removed, the waitress/ manager said “it was optional “ I then asked …..if it’s optional why was it automatically added - surely if it is optional, then I should be the one opting to pay and not the restaurant. We must have visited on an off day as it’s such a shame such lovely food is ruined by awful service. My youngest niece has a severe nut allergy which we declared and resulted in the waiter calling her “miss allergy” when serving her food. Our food came out before drinks so upon asking where our drinks the waiter rolled their eyes and shook their head. The food was beautiful and the atmosphere was lovely, we just wanted to enjoy our last night in london as a family. I understand it may have been stressful to serve us, as a group of 13, however it does not excuse down right rudeness. Due to this misfortune we decided to take of the £38 service charge, this resulted in multiple different print outs of the bill as we were miss charged four times. When leaving the restaurant the manager told my nieces to ‘move’ in a very abrupt manner, clearly aggravated we hadn’t paid the service charge.

The food was absolutely amazing but the service was not very good. They missed an order which they did not give much of an apology for, then got one of the starters wrong and then childrens icecream was ordered and was over 20minutes and yet received and had to ask. Also nothing was said on arrival and didn't see the tiny sticker on door until looked when leaving as told about it that the restaurant is card only payments.

Good food. Awesome oven. But be careful. They add an "Optional Team Tip" of 10% and hurry you to pay. I did not notice. We were very aware of balancing the tip as they skipped our table to serve other customers that arrived after us. When I asked about it, the manager just said, "Oh, but I gave you the check. You could read it. Now I can do nothing. " So, please learn with me to read the check. Enjoy!

The space was pretty good, good amount of natural light and not noisy at all. Congrats for having this venue. The food is fine, reasonably good value. The major issue was the service. There was a Eastern Asian male waiter, looking very grumpy from the time we arrived, and refused to answer our question when he brought the pasta dishes as if we owed him money to have the food we ordered. The floor manager then came to help us with OK attitude, while we were still shocked by the extremely rude attitude of this specific waiter. We were not looking for high end restaurant service, we simply wanted to get some basic respect from waiter. The manager told us that the restaurant was under staff on that day, but when we arrived the restaurant was not full. Either way there is no excuse for that attitude in any reasonable restaurant nowadays; even Wong Kei in China Town doesn't treat customer like that anymore!

Had a lovely meal dining in at Central St Giles. Great Pizzas 🍕 and perfect location centrally for the Lizzy line near Tottenham Court Rd tube. Natalia, our waitress, was brilliant, friendly and went above and beyond all evening. We will be back!

It’s always a good bet when you go to Zizzi’s, good food and a great experience. Always good value too. Natalia was our server and she was very attentive and friendly! Made the experience more enjoyable.

We had a great time, here. Food was good, service great. We had a delightful waitress who really helped make our evening special. Unfortunately we didnt get her name but we do know her ragdoll cat has its own Tiktok page

We booked a table for 6 for a friends catch up and our waitress Natalia was fantastic - friendly, funny (and very patient while we tried to decide what to order!) We were served quickly and my gluten free pizza was excellent. Lovely bright, large restaurant. Would highly recommend for a quick meal close and convenient to Tottenham Court Road. Only missing a point for atmosphere because we were the last table in the restaurant, but we appreciated not being rushed out before closing.

Wonderful experience in Zizzi, St Giles. Beautiful atmosphere, clean and friendly staff. Manager was especially courteous and our waiter Shibin was amazing. Food was promptly served and full of flavor. Loved the overall experience and will surely be back. One of my favorite Zizzis in London.

Absolutely disgusting and after a taste of each item the entire delivery had to go into the bin!! The food was wrapped up in brown bags and cold. Chicken nuggets in a wrap is not chicken fillets! Aluminium chargrilled donner meat with tinned tomatoes with a hint of chilli as chilli sauce is not chilli sauce. Free garlic bread, what a treat.... burnt tasteless and dry!! Other than that was on time....... unfortunately!!!

I used to be a regular visitor to the Spaghetti House 40 years ago, So I was a little apprehensive about going back after such a long time. Would the atmosphere be different? Would the quality of the Italian dishes be different? Would the level of service be lower? A resounding no to these questions! Our little party had a very enjoyable evening.
