They say there are only two religions in Italy: Ferrari and the Catholic church. I say there should be three now, to include the Angelo's Limoncello. Bellísimo. The calamari is also especially exquisite. Friendly and attentive staff to top it all off. We had the best time!

for my mum's birthday 4 of us - Mum, me and my 2 daughters decided we fancied an Italian meal because we haven't had Italian cuisine for quite a while. We decided to try Angelo's at Preston because in the past we have been to 'Italian' restaurants that are Italian in name only and this one seemed authentic. The restaurant itself is beautifully presented. From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully and when the wait staff realised that a large party nearby was a little bit noisy for us - they moved us to a quieter area so we could enjoy our meal and chat. We chose from the 3 courses for £26 menu. Each of us chose a different starter - fish cake, baked brie, calamari and melon/fresh fruit. We all agreed it was delicious as we all tasted a little bit of each others lol. Our mains came out quickly after we had finished our starters and again were absolutely fabulous - really good quality and extremely tasty. I had the crab meat ravioli with the tomato and crayfish sauce and it was the perfect balance of fish and tomato. Finally we had dessert - I chose the lemon crunch cheesecake and I have never had such a creamy cheesecake and the lemon was just enough without being too tart. The staff hadn't realised that it was my mum's birthday til we were leaving and were so apologetic that they hadn't done something special -although the reason we hadn't told them was because she doesn't like a fuss :) We will definitely be going back as I said it is a long time since we have had an authentic Italian meal and we won't be leaving it so long in the future. Angelo's is amazing.

Pretty mediocre food and service was pretty poor. Pasta oily and bland. Waiting staff not very attentive and had to keep waving them down every time we wanted something. Seemed very disinterested.

the food was quite good, very different from anything else in the area I think. I just didn’t really enjoy the service as our waiter was quite abrupt and borderline rude, it felt like we were an inconvenience for being there which was unfortunate.

We had a fabulous night celebrating our sons 18th birthday , the food was delicious and this was testament to the quality authentic Italian ingredients used. The service professional and even though busy the staff were attentive the atmosphere was fun and electric! Thank you to all the staff the evening was enjoyed by all ❤

20 of us visited this lovely restaurant on a Friday night, it soon became apparent that lots of parties were already in full swing. We had pre drinks in the bar with the bar staff being friendly and smiling. Sat at our pre booked tables ordering from the 3 course special deal. The volume in the room rose, and rose as more parties arrived and got to compliment the waiting staff for their excellent service, the food we ate looked and tasted awesome. Chicken livers were especially nice as starters, chicken "Apollo" was moist and full of flavour, loads of empty plate followed, found the fruit meringue a tad too sweet for my taste but overall everything throughout our visit was excellent and can highly recommend.

Very lively atmosphere. Melon with summer berries was nicely presented although only a few small slices. Lasagne was piping hot and was average. Service was ok and noisy. Average.

Staff were very friendly and had a great selection for the 2 course menu. Lovely meal in really nice surroundings

Went for lunch on a weekday, staff very welcoming and knowledgable about food on the menu. Food was delicious and good value. We had the special lunchtime menu. Would go again. Plenty of room for wheelchair access but not sure about toilet access as did not check this out.

Came here on a hen do, would have not chosen such a nice restaurant myself as hen's can get quite rowdy! I loved the welcome we received upon entering. The staff all looked happy and that they enjoyed their job. I was surprised at quite a selection of wines and also food. I had the Black Pudding Starter (which beat my previous favourite restaurant hands down). I went for something I would not normally have, Sea Bass and Scallop Ravioli, and boy was it delicious. The ravioli was cooked to absolute perfection. For such a nice restaurant I found the menu prices were about right. The drinks did seem a little over priced. I bought a bottle of prosecco from the downstairs bar and immediately the bar man told me he would bring it to our table rather than me fumbling the bottle and glasses back, I thought this was a great touch. Our servers were very friendly and witty during our meal (after all I suppose they have to put up with all sorts from a hen do!). I enjoyed our meal so much that I am planning to return already. A great choice by the bride to be. I can see why she goes all the time.

We arrived without a booking, but as it was only around 5.45pm we were shown straight to a table. The inside of the restaurant is clean, modern and very stylish. There is a quite extensive menu that should cover for all tastes (of Italian). Service was excellent, the food was out of this world and the bill quite reasonable. I would highly recommend!

I had never been to this restaurant before - and was invited on a Hen Do. We sat upstairs as this is where they seem to seat all the large groups. There were 19 in the group and often food isn’t as good, when out in a large group. However Angela’s managed to deliver exceptional food - it all seemed to come out within 2 or 3 minutes of the first dish coming out.

Warm service from the staff, clean environment, classy, good flavour combinations and great management. Perfect, very well satisfied and will come back again this was our third time and we will recommend as well!!

We went to this restaurant on the advice of our son who had been before. We were not disappointed. We chose of the menu which offered 2 courses and 3 courses at fixed prices which is available all the time as well as the a la carte. All the portions were generous, everything was presented beautifully and the flavours were superb. Staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself has a very modern decor and is comfortable. Cleanliness was top notch and everything sparkled and shone. A couple of tables were set up for birthday parties and a wedding party was being prepared for the next day. They can take 300 people so big enough for any kind of party. Howeve,r you did not feel like you were in a huge barn as it is on 2 floors and had nicely separated sections. Will definitely go back and do not hesitate to recommend it.

Came a couple of weeks ago, Booked at the restaurant a week in advance and when I came and mentioned I made a reservation they had lost the piece of paper my booking was made on ( not a good start) we were shoved in a table for two and within 3 minutes around 3 members of staff asked us for drinks and when we eventually ordered table water because we were rushed to order anything at all the lady looked down her nose at us as if we were joking. Moving on, we ordered the starters which was Parmer ham and warm cheese, this was nice although tasted very strongly of olive oil. For the main I had a measly lamb shank which came with just a small portion of carrots! Yet I paid £19.50 had a couple of gins and moved on to the next place destination, not sure if we'll be back anytime soon.

We chose to celebrate a family birthday here as there were quite a lot of us & we wanted a nice environment but also something to accomodate a range of budgets. Everyone enjoyed the night. The place was clean & fresh. Service was quick and we found the food to be value for money!

This is one of our favourite restaurants in town. The food and staff are of high standard and every experience is lovely . Very much recommend

We have been to Angelos before for a birthday meal and had a great time. This time we went to celebrate me buying a new car. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We were given a table immediately complete with menus and drinks offered. The food was lovely again and we were not rushed at all. I would certainly visit again and can totally recommend it

We had a fabulous Saturday afternoon here celebrating my dad’s 70th Birthday. Dino was welcoming and efficient as always and our party of 20 where served quickly at the bar whilst waiting to sit down. Food order was quick and food came at an appropriate time after. The menu here is vast with lots to choose from and all great when it arrives. Most of the party had 2 courses which was delicious. We had plenty to drink and plenty to eat and the celebration was wonderful. If you’re in Preston this place is a must visit be it lunch or dinner....

Went with family to celebrate my eldest granddaughters birthday, 10 in the group: As always staff was friendly and efficient and the food and service was great.

went for lunch last week, food was disgusting the only veg they ever serve is broccoli and carrots broccoli cooked to death carrots undercooked, one female member of staff was very argumentative . will stick to pizza in future

I visited here for a work related meal for about 20 people. The service was good, as was the food. It also comes across as a place for couples and families.

l attended Angelos on Sunday evening.with my partner ....on arrival l found that l had left my mobile phone in a taxi.......l mentioned this to Syd one of the head waiters....and he immediately called AAA Taxi's to see if it had been found.....and yes they had got my phone.......so l was able to retrieve it.

Went here with large party for work event one Thursday at 5.30pm:place was quite quiet at this time. Drinks were reasonably priced for a restaurant and the food was of good quality; portion sizes if not a pizza are small. Service ok. Would definitely return: it's handy for the station aswell.

Came here for a works meal out and it was lovely; could not fault anything! Thank you to all the staff.

Lovely restaurant and decor, clean and fresh looking with smartly dressed staff on hand to cater for our meal. Initial drinks service was ok and so to the food, each of our starters including takes on black pudding, mussels, king prawns, mushrooms and garlic bread was to our liking. Mains were varied with chicken, fish, lasagne, carbonara and pizza dishes, slight problem with the temperature of some of the courses, certain ones were just too hot (advised really hot) or lukewarm but most were as expected. Only a few puddings taken but spot on for taste. Overall an enjoyable experience.

We ate here while on holiday in Lancashire. We picked this one as it was recommended when I did a TripAdvisor search. Both a la Carte and set menus were available. We chose the set menu which had some excellent choices at £15 for 2 courses. Both the food and the service were excellent.

Gorgeous food as always very good value and with my mum being new to her wheelchair the facillities were really good and all the staff were really caring and made it a special afternoon Thank you xxx

This was our second visit recently and the food was excellent. Our group had a range of starters including livers, mushrooms, garlic bread which was great. The mains including steak, monkfish, spicy pasta were all very tasty. Prices reasonable,service was good apart from one young girl who was very rude and abrupt but we didn’t let her spoil our night. Very busy and a vibrant atmosphere. Got to be one of the best Italians in town.

A lunch date here with work colleagues is always a great experience. The food and service are excellent, and the ambience is very good. We like the fact that there is a set price, so you can just choose what you want without considering price. The set prices are very reasonable, and the house red wine is really nice!

An excellent visit. The food was amazing throughout the meal. They even catered for allergies i.e. Gluten Free. The staff are always helpful and friendly to everyone. Well worth a visit!

Food very good along with the service and location, however if you are after a fairly quite location to have meal and a chat then don't bother on a Friday or Saturday night. The place was packed when we went and filled with 18-30 years old celebrating birthdays before going on a bender round preston. Not really a place for family meals at thieves times.

Large open plan restaurant so better for larger parties than intimate evenings a deux, Food was good and no issues for a Vegetarian Gluten Free attendee. Manager constantly doing the rounds of tables to ensure no issues which is unusual.

All I can say is wow! Service was great the sea bass ravioli with clams was astonishingly good so much so I would love to be cheeky and ask for that recipe. The wine was rocket fuel and the only let down as it was too strong for me but that is no fault of the restaurant as I chose it as I do normally like a Barolo. The food we ordered was amazing and can’t wait to go again.

Very wide 3 or 2course lunch menu on offer. Portion sizes are good and the food excellent. Good service in lovely surroundings. Will definitely go back.

We used to come here quite regularly but recently they seem to have cut the portion sizes down at lunchtimes. I had the smallest portion of prawns and salmon I’ve ever had in a restaurant and then a very small slice of steak in pepper sauce as a main. I didn’t consider my meal to be value for money and others in my group felt the same. I know of other Italian restaurants which are far better and less pricey.

First visit to Angelos & it won't be our last. Very attentive service great atmosphere & fantastic food & wine.

Food excellent and they do gluten free meals all you need to do for gluten free meal is tell them what you want and they will make it, as simple as that

Went for the two course deal yesterday lunchtime and really enjoyed it. Good range of dishes on menu, friendly and attentive staff, lovely freshly cooked food. Restaurant itself is bright, modern and spotlessly clean. No complaints at all, will go again next time we are in Preston.

Amazing service~ very attentive. We went for the 2 course deal during the week & the food arrived promptly and tasted really great. Busy place ~ although managed to get a table without booking. Good atmosphere.

A great lunch with a new mixed Italian and what seemed like Asian fusion menu. Good atmosphere and attentive staff. Only slight downside was garlic mushrooms were a little dry from over breadcrumb stuffing and not a lot of garlic flavour. Just a slight downside. The rest of the meal for everyone was great and with their lunch offer, great value too.

Had a great meal with family, 6.30pm on Saturday night and the place was rammed, but a great atmosphere, if a little noisy, food came quickly and was delicious, very attentive and friendly staff. would recommend!

Had the 2 course menu everything was good also had garlic and tomato bread this was also delicious, one criticism would be the potatoes aren't great but overall really good. Be back soon.

Excellent evening. Lovely food. There were 24 of us and they had an excellent menu with a great selection of dishes which were very good value.

The food we had in this restaurant was of good quality but the service although generally speedy was unpleasant and brusque and I was left with the disconcerting feeling that the staff felt rather superior to the customers. There are plenty of places in the region where good Italian food is served with warmth and welcome. Angelos is not one. I will not return and would certainly not recommend it to anyone else.

All fine. Unremarkable to the positive or negative. Fair value. Pleasant. A safe bet. Neutral sort of a place.

Not been to Angelos for a few years now and was really impressed with how smart it looks now.

Our ‘monthly ladies who dine’ group had a superb meal and FAB service at Angelo’s. The flavour in the seafood and pasta dish that I had was phenomenal, and was full of fish. Only one slight issue it was a bit cool, but definitely not worth complaining about. We will definitely return.. excellent !!

Hubby and I stopped off for lunch on Saturday. We ate from the ‘2 courses for £14.90’ menu, which we both found to be of good value. I had crayfish starter, cooked in ginger and spring onion. Followed by a vegetarian pizza. Hubby had the traditional garlic mushrooms to start, followed by lasagne. A very pleasant atmosphere. My only negative is that the vegetarian options are limited. Hence 4 stars. Can we please have some vegetarian menu innovation? With veganism increasing in popularity there is a bigger market here.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly efficient staff and a wide choice of food. The 2 or 3 course lunch menu is great value. I had the fishcake and tortellini spinach & ricotta and both were delicious. Will definitely visit again

I've been a regular at Angelo's for quite a few years now and am never disappointed. The food and atmosphere are always fantastic, staff are all really lovely and friendly. This restaurant is also suitable for any occasion, be it a quiet 'date night' or party of any kind. Would recommend to anyone x

2nd visit to this venue in last 3 years ....upon arrival we were seated quickly to a nice table... then forgotten about really. Place was busy but plenty of staff on. We didn't seem to have a designated waiter/waitress. so 10-15 mins later we had to grab a passing waiters attention just to get a drink. Ordered drinks, once delivered they didn't bother asking if we were ready to order...5 minutes passed and again tried several times to wave to a different passing waiter and asked if someone could take our order. they asked if we would like wine with meal.. we chose the wine and asked for it to arrive with the starters. Garlic bread with tomato came first...That was nice. Then starters arrived, No wine came..husband's ribs were nice, my chicken livers were off. took one bite and asked hubby to try one to see if it was just me..he spat it out into napkin. I moved my plate to the side but manager at the bar spotted my face screwed up. Came over and I explained nicely that I had only tasted one liver and it seems off & hubby tried one too and he said it was off, he apologised and took offending plate away and asked if i would like to choose a different one.. i declined. Main course arrived...still no wine..waved another waiter over and he got the wine. I Ordered Crab filled Ravioli & it was pretty tasteless the sauce over it was basil & tomato with a "touch of cream". Ruined it with the cream more like. Yuk. no-one came and asked if everything was alright..which was odd since i had a problem with starter. Had to wave again to get the bill. £74 Spanked considering the poor service and below average food. Considering how many tables there were and how busy, you would expect them to designate a block of tables to each waiter to ensure a smooth prompt service etc. Jesus, it's not rocket science...but they obviously prefer their team to just wander around waiting for customers to grab someones attention. I will not try this place again..nor will I try any of the other restaurants in the group. It is not worth spending good money on ....that's for sure. I need more than a nice venue i'm afraid.

I went here for the first time on Saturday, it had good reviews and said they catered for people with food intollerence and allergies. I asked our waiter if they did pizzas with gluten free bases. He said no they didn't. So I asked him what dished they did that were gluten free. He seemed very vague. He didn't offer to go and ask the chef. Then he said the pasta dishes would be ok. Are they they only things that you have without gluten. I was surprised as normally there are a few. The food was lovely which I did choose so could not fault it. But for a restaurant of this size I would have expected the waiter to be more knowledgable.

We visited with 2 children after the Panto early evening, we had a great meal and the service was really good. Staff were great with the Children & gave them cakes to leave with.

The food was fine but the staff’s soft skills were appalling - no smiling and no please/ thank you. Sadly, for two in our group; some courses were served late with no apology or explanation and one meal was cold. My wife enquired where my espresso was to be told “ on its way love” with a dismissive wave - really??

Went with work for Xmas party the food was as expected from a party night it was the volume of people in the venue that was just manic! So noisy could even attempt to talk to each other and the Pinot Grigio white wine was aweful and should be used for cleaning it’s that bad!!no where to dance as dance floor was rammed with not even half of people dancing due to amount of room on dance floor! We normally go to Tinos but thought a change would be good! Believe me it wasn’t had no voice on the Saturday and head busting due to how noisy it was no happy medium here., the amount of time we waited to be seated then served was madness got to 9.30 instead of 8 sorry to say

What started off as a lovely Xmas meal with my wife finished on a sour note....

A special treat to combine both a family birthday and Christmas. There were 4 of us, including a vegetarian. With plenty of delicious choices on the menu, it took a little while to decide what to have ! Our meals were soon served up and were excellent. Tasty, hot and beautifully presented. The desserts were equally as good and we were all well satisfied. The service was prompt and friendly every step of the way. A very good evening al round.

It was a surprise visit from my wife and first visit since it had the revamp.

We had a lovely time. Staff were very attentive, food was fabulous and very good value. I had the goats cheese on flat mushroom followed by pigs cheeks in red wine sauce mashed potatoes and vegetables. The only negatives are that we found the chairs uncomfortable and they don't have my favourite wine which is Rose White Zinfandel. I had a glass of the house rose but it gave me a migraine as too dry for me. Other than that I couldn't fault it.

25 of us came here for our Office Party and there were 25 very satisfied customers at the end of it. The food is really good considering it is bulk catering and the beauty of it is you order on the day and do not have to give an advanced order. A variety of dishes were chosen and there were plenty of clean plates at the end of it. Staff are exceptionally good, polite and friendly and really efficient. I really love the food at the best of times here and the Christmas meal did not disappoint. I just have one gripe though. The quality of the house wine is terrible. I love Italian wine, I drink it most of the time but the colour of the wine is off-putting being deep yellow in colour and I find I get a bad head after drinking only half a glass of it. At £17 it is not cheap in price but it is definitely cheap in quality. Normally I would drink wine in the local bars beforehand and stick to soft drinks at Angelo's because of this but as it was a Christmas function I wanted wine with the meal. A few of my colleagues agreed with me but because it was the cheapest on the wine list they stuck with it. San Marco Group - please look at your suppliers - the wine lets you down.

5 of us visited and had the "2 courses for £14.90" (I think) which is a large choice of meals, pastas and pizzas. It is excellent value.

Visited Angelo's only a few days prior to my sons 18th Birthday, as he had finally decided on a family meal out to celebrate and loves this restaurant. I thought there would be very little chance due to it being December. The Manager was really helpful and advised me he could arrange a table between 6-8pm (Phew) on the Saturday. Alternatively Sunday would be ok and no time limit on the table and with the 2 course deal available. We decided on the Sunday for convenience for the 14 guests ranging in age from 3 months to 77 yrs.Everyone really enjoyed the food, very good, wide ranging choice, the atmosphere and the wonderful staff! It was no problem that I had taken a birthday cake and plates etc were supplied to our table, although some could not resist the restaurant's own desserts. I had forgotten the candles (no doubt you are getting the picture of our lack of organisation lol) but the lovely ladies were keen to supply candles and came to our rescue once again. All in all a lovely birthday meal for all and very good value for the superb food and service. Thank you Angelo's!!!

Looking fir somewhere to eat following graduation, First impression was it was a very nice place and looked expensive, that certainly wasn't the case, two courses for £14-£15 can't remember the exact price. Very extensive menu to choose from. Thought you would get small portions at this price, wrong again, generous portions and couldn't manage a desert, mushroom starter was amazing, all three of us really enjoyed our meal. The staff were very friendly and efficient, it was nice to see that when the Preston football team came in and sat next to us, our service didn't suffer. I'm not from Preston but if I'm ever anywhere near, I will most definatley make an effort to return as food was delicious, service great and below £60 for three of us who had two courses each, a drink each and some sides it also excellent value for money. If you are reading this thank you very much for finishing off our special day so nicely.

I love angelos. The food I always perfect, loads of options for everyone - meat lovers and vegetations. The pizzas are the best I’ve ever had. it’s beautiful inside and there’s always a nice atmosphere, the staff are welcoming to everyone - I sometimes bring my daughters and they are always made to feel like vip guests :) on a weekend my friends and I will eat here and then go next door to the cocktail bar, Stratos, it’s stunning inside and the cocktails are to die for !

Visited here only for the 2cnd time and not too dissimilar than the first - excellent food (2 course offer), great choice, portions and cooked by someone who really knows what they are doing! Excellent for foodies - but, as others too have grumbled, the drinks pricing is much too far off the radar and spoils what could be a more frequent visit to this restaurant.

Beautiful, modern & buzzing Italian right in the heart of the city centre. I've lived in London for twenty years & actually miss Angelo's (especially their legendary garlic bread) so always book in when I go back to Preston. Excellent value for money for fantastic, fresh & delicious food from a modern menu which offers a lot more than your standard 'Italian'. The superb, friendly service is always spot on too. Love it.

first visit and went with a hen party on a busy Saturday night. lovely place with very modern deco. I ordered the brie to start and then steak diane. I thought it was pricey for an Italian and particularly when the sirloin steak was extremely thin and resembles frying steak for £21 I was expecting a nice piece of sirloin so was very disapointed. the Diane sauce was lovely and the course redeemed itself a little. I was impressed with the service and they are clearly organised with large parties. drinks expensive with house red around the £18 mark. overall an enjoyable meal not sure though I would be rushing back..

Visited here numerous times and always had a brilliant evening. The food is delicious. Classic Italian fare. I've always asked for something that's not on the menu and it's never been too much trouble which is a bonus. The place is always buzzing and you cannot fault the service.

We come here quite often, its a nice place to be dining. There isn't really anything special about it but it is sort of a guaranteed place to eat. The food is good and is cooked by Italian chefs. Service also well managed and not too much waiting of course it does change on Saturdays or when they have a full house. It can be very pricey too, if you aren't careful ordering, pizzas are very good, portions not so big, it would be a better place if they can give you just a little more food for the price you pay and it can get very noisy people trying to talk over other people plus staff communicating with each other. This is why when we come it would be on quiet times.

Visited with a party and the menu was set 2 courses for £19.90. Looking at it, you could have had pizza or pasta and a starter off the main menu for same price and had a choice and hopefully a full portion (!). Our table was booked for 8.00pm and they finally took our order at 8.45 after calling a waiter over, we were only given our main at 9.50pm!! I am not sure if this was to get you to drink more of their extortionate priced drinks. When the food did arrive the portions were tiny and the food mediocre, we were all still hungry. Was not worth £19.90. The restaurant now looks like it is targeting the party market and I would not recommend this restaurant for an intimate meal as the noise level is too high and you have to shout to be heard. Visited this restaurant several times and it has slowly deteriorated. We will not be visiting again.

Food was ok, staff were very attentive and service was good. The only downside was that the whole restaurant was far too noisy we couldn't have a conversation. This is not the place for an intimate meal. Io wouldn't visit again because of this.
