The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Shocking service. Paid a deposit, arrived and someone was on our table. Ignored for 45 minutes, so walked out. Disgusting behaviour.

We ate here Thursday evening(29th junez) the restaurant was buzzing, always a good sign. The food was delicious. I had the linguine florian it was gorgeous and plentiful. The pizza rustic to start was ad light as a feather and very very tasty. Great value for money too

The best place and best service

Celebrated a friend's birthday. Food was delicious all empty plates very reasonable prices compared to other Italian restaurants in Doncaster.

First time and very pleased with the food and atmosphere. We went for a nice walk along the river and stopped for lunch. It was a really nice sunny day so book in advance as it gets really busy. We both had the Linguini allo scoglio (seafood Linguini) and it was just perfect...almost felt like being by the sea in Italy. Staff all helpful and nice location. Next time 🍕

Half of the menu was unavailable including pizzas and lasagna, which are the staple food of an Italian restaurant. The pasta dishes (crab linguine but you had to dig hard to find the crab) and Italian meatballs in tomato sauce (a very basic Italian dish yet nothing to write home about) were overpriced (£20 and £16) and not worth the money. The crispy squid starter was however delicious (£12) but a glass of small house red wine at £6.50 is really over the top. Total meal for 2 @£61 which is more expensive than Paris (where I live). I shall definitely not be returning.

We visited on Saturday evening and pre booked. The restaurant is lovely inside, and the menu has lots of choices, and as a vegetarian, I was spoilt. The service was excellent and food was first class. We would definitely recommend and return. The lady was very good when we went to leave a tip and she pointed out its a 12.5 % service charge.

Lunch was great - food was all served perfectly and very tasty - good diverse menu - would highly recommend for lunch or dinner And 10/10 to the staff - service was excellent

Me equivoqué de pedido, así que una pizza vino mucho después. Como lo habían apurado el queso apenas estaba derretido y no era bueno. Pizza insípida. No es bueno. El personal era muy amable.

Food, atmosphere and service were outstanding. Lovely little authentic Italian Restaurant. We will be visiting again for sure.

I had an interesting experience at cosa nosta tonight. For starters the atmosphere was terrible with all of the Chefs screaming at each other which made the atmosphere very loud and unwelcoming. Probably the loudest place I have ever eaten at. Then we got our bill and there was a service charge which is fine but they asked for it in cash and when we said unfortunately we didn’t have any they got very aggressive and rude then they added another 10 percent onto the bill additionally to the service charge and if my husband hadn’t called it out I don’t know what would have happened 100% do not recommend
