Quiet Monday evening on a public holiday, but fantastic food and friendly service! The satay burger and tahini crunch salad were both great.

Distinctly average food, coupled with pretty poor service. The front of house staff was rather dismissive… didn’t crack a smile once and wasn’t accommodating when asking for a drink that was clearly possible based on available ingredients. A shame, as it looked to be a promising authentic Italian, but didn’t deliver on expectation.

Why did it take me so long to come here? Food! Service and atmosphere all on point! Very enjoyable night! Can’t wait to come back and work our way through the menu!! Great job!

I came in August 2024 for my 21st birthday and the service was incredible; the food was fresh and incredibly flavourful! They surprised me with dessert and sang me happy birthday too, it was an amazing meal and I still think about the Misto Pesce Giovanna.

The food at this piccolo on chants ave is absolutely amazing, the lasagne is the best I've ever had but last night I had a chicken salad as I'm trying to be good and omg I cannot believe I've not had it before it was delicious 😋 , my friends loved there meals just as much, I go most weeks now my friends plan to, best value ever and lovely staff.

Have been going to this resturant regularly for nearly 10 years. Always giving it a 5 star rating. Last night for my wife’s birthday we visited again expecting our usual high standards. Firstly, the food was excellent as normal, no issues there at all. But for some strange reason our engagement with the staff including the owner was very “flat and low energy”. We waited 40 minutes for our first course to be delivered , Arancini and Mozarella Fritta …. No one explained why the wait was so long. Apart from asking for our order and delivering the food there was NO attempt to engage in conversation with us…. A mile away from the experience when Marisa was front of house in the early days. This was the first time in ten years going to Gigi’s that I haven’t left a tip. Your food is excellent, you need to refocus your standards of service as your prices are now at “ Edinburgh” levels… so the experience needs to be top notch. Also an increase in Veggie pasta options would be a good idea both for the customers and your profit line. Hope to come back and also hear some more good reviews.
