La Palma Italian Restaurant in South Bucks

Had dinner the weekend before at the restuatrant and it was great all round. The following week we had two pizzas delivered, my partners was fine but mine which was a Napoletana with anchovies and fresh basil had just 3 anchovies and the basil was all in one area of the pizza. I wasn't impressed as was hoping to get a better class of pizza when compared to our local Papa Johns or Dominoes. I hope that if I had ordered the pizza as a dine in meal it would have been better put together. Just because it is a delivery doesn't mean less effort should be put into the content or the presentation of the meal. Lastly, as our order of two pizzas didn't appear to meet the minimum order requirements I had to order an additional item to get it delivered making it quite costly with the delivery charge added on top. Please note that our experience when we dined at the restaurant the previous week was excellent with great food, wine and service.

Only ended up here after some other plans were cancelled and was pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent restaurant, the staff, the food, the decor, and good value for money. If you're looking for a good local Italian restaurant, you wont be disappointed with this place.

Excellent staff. Even better food. The food was so tasty with lots of different flavours. Reminds me of home cooked food which you can’t beat. Can’t wait to come back again.

First time we had tried this restaurant and we were really impressed with the food and with the friendly, attentive service. Can honestly say that it was the best meal out we have had in years. Will definitely be visiting again.

We met with friend 'half-way' as a last-minute arrangement and enjoyed such a lovely evening. The menu contained a good mix of dishes and all of our meals were very good choices. The staff were fabulous, thoughtful and caring. We enjoyed our whole evening and happy with the eventual bill.

I wish I could eat at La Palma every day! I am always blown away by the quality of the food for the price. I have visited twice in the last few months for a big family meal each time and the service has been wonderful. The staff are very welcoming and patient with my toddler joining us at the table, and more than happy to help me find a dairy free dish I can enjoy, although I never miss cheese more than when I read their menu. I ordered a steak cooked blue at the weekend and it was perfect, and their smoked duck special was superb. We were celebrating my mother’s birthday and the staff made her feel special bringing out some cake with candles and making a lovely fuss of her. Thank you and can’t wait to come back soon.

This is the finest Italian food that I have eaten outside of Italy. Truly exceptional, perfectly prepared and honestly presented. Extremely well priced and totally authentic.

A reasonably quiet Thursday night, given a warm welcome by the waiting staff, who were kind and attentive without being obtrusive throughout the meal. Wine is reasonably priced by the bottle, and had an excellent Italian Merlot. To start, scallops, which were delicious with pancetta and pea puree. For mains, a perfectly cooked fillet steak with a gorgonzola sauce to die for, rosemary potatoes and veg. A lovely Tiramisu, brandy and coffee was the perfect way to round off the meal. Will be back again for sure, 10/10

Really nice venue. Staff were very nice and helpful. Food was great, really great steak cooked to perfection however you need to add side orders as the portion of veg/potatoes it comes with is more like a garnish which we didn’t know about until the food arrived so we were still hungry leaving. The other downside is the tables are really small and it feels a bit cramped. Having said that it was a nice evening and would go back but would plan better

I took some friends after a Matinee viewing of Rocky Horror. Having been there before I know the food is excellent. However I don't like having to SHOUT to the person opposite on the table?

We have just returned from an absolutely amazing dinner at La Palma in Iver. The food was delicious, staff were wonderful. First time visiting can’t wait to come back. Outstanding 🥰

We visited on a Wednesday night not sure how much atmosphere there would be. It was cozy friendly and over 50% full which for a Wednesday I thought was good. The food was very good and cocktails margarita was great and wine very reasonably priced and good quality. A great evening

Visited this restaurant whilst staying in Uxbridge. It had such a great atmosphere - busy, friendly, efficient and welcoming staff. The food was wonderful with the best tiramisu ever!

Yet to regain it’s pre-lockdown quality. Service still good and friendly but can only assume the food is suffering from long-lockdown. Maybe the flip to offering takeaways during lockdown has had an impact on the eat in food. Hopefully this restaurant will soon regain its...

I reserved a table for 2, at 13:30 today 08/06/21 ,to sit outside for lunch and the restaurant wasn't even open, no mention of this when I made the reservation .... need to get staff who know when you're open!!!! I was so disappointed .....

had an excellent 3 course meal for 4 people.all the dishes were well cooked and tasty. The service is friendly but not over the top just leave you alone.

Booked for a family meal for 8. Service was wonderful and staff couldn’t do enough for our group. A wonderful selection of traditional pasta dishes and daily specials, with recommended wines to accompany the dishes. Although we were the first there, the restaurant filled quickly and there was a lovely atmosphere - there were obviously a lot of regulars who the staff knew which added to the occasion. After our visit we’re planning to become regulars ourselves.

Great restaurant. Food really good and not overpriced. Really extensive menu with something for everyone. Staffreally friendly and helpful. Good selection of wines. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were out on a long hike and, finding ourselves in Iver Heath at lunchtime, used Trip Advisor to find the best place to eat. By coincidence we were only 100 m away at the time, although we could have easily missed it as it is a little off the beaten track.The restaurant itself is superb. It offers authentic food that is up to the standards we are used to when visiting Italy. As the picture shows, the white tablecloths and smart appearance make for relaxed dining but it would also be suitable for a business meeting. There is a huge choice of food on the menu. My wife had Fusilia Romana whilst I had Pollo Milanese. Both were delicious, freshly made and with generous portion sizes. We felt that our meal was good value for money. Now that we have found it, will be definitely be coming back with family and friend.

Meal for 2 ladies doing lunchHave eaten here a few times in the past.We did book but there were plenty of tables free. People did seem to be coming in for take away meals which I didn’t know they did.We shared a tomato garlic bread to start. My friend had a chicken pasta dish and I had mushroom pasta ... food was delightful. Staff really nice not in your face but there if needed.. didn’t have room for a pudding.. good value for money I will be visiting again ...

We used to really like this restaurant when it was Palm Suite and it has been some time since we visited. We were looking for somewhere to meet a friend close to the M40, the reviews looked good so we decided to give it a go on a Sunday lunchtime - what a find. We had the most delightful arrabbiata as well as seafood pasta, not the slightest complaint from any of the 3 of us. The food was spectacular as was the house wine. The service was attentive without being gushing (which I hate!). The bill a very welcome surprise, fantastic value. We can’t recommend this place highly enough, a tremendous find.

Back in Slough, as our Daughter started her course at Iver, we found this little gem of a restaurant on an earlier Sojourn. The food and service is simply superb, delightful pasta (superb #glutenfree), fantastic Casato Prosecco, finished off with a delightful dessert and coffee, what more can you ask for.Sensibly priced, family run restaurant, authentic, genuine we love it. Our daughters course last 8 months, this will be our No1 destination when we visit.

Three of us, for the first time, ate here at this restaurant, very pleasant evening, staff are very attentive, super food, which we really appreciated, nicely presented. Will definitely visit again.

About 15 of us went for a big family meal - and we were very well looked after. Having not been to this place since it was the Palm Suite (which I very much liked) I am glad to report it's not another tasty place to eat.I had the prawns to start and the fillet steak - both were very tasty - but most of the party seemed to enjoy their food.Would come again if in the area.

Compelled to share my recent experience of this true gem of an Italian restaurant. My wife who was working on a recent production at Pinewood studios told me how wonderful and authentic this family run restaurant was. Having read some recent reviews i was slightly sceptical, however, we ate there last week and must say that any concerns were dispelled and that it was a delight. The service was warm, efficient and the food was outstanding with a clear initiative to use on the finest fresh ingredients. Will be sure to visit again soon! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We dined here on recommendation but frankly were disappointed as we failed to find the 'wow' factor. Nothing particularly stood out and whilst nothing wrong with the food, service or deco it was just average. Quite a small restaurant that was quite noisy and normal conversation not always possible. Drinks expensive.The coffee machine here had been broken all day so no drinks availabke to round off the meal. We thought this particularly poor as they coukld have got a jar of normal and decaf in to offer something. To end on a positive we didnt have pizzas but they looked very good.

We booked this restaurant, as our Daughter is joining Iver Academy at Pinewood Studios and we were checking out the area. What a find.Great service and the food was stunning. My wife said the Pasta special with the Salmon sauce was the best she had ever had - superb.If you happen to be close by and you can get a table, you have to try it.

We have visited La Palma more than 5 times in the last few years and it is always excellent.Real, authentic, fresh Italian food. Fantastic selection, I always manage to order something different, and good value for the quality. Even the house wine is excellent. And great cocktails too! The service is brilliant, it can sometimes be a little slow but this is a place where you went to enjoy your time, not rush in and out. As some reviews mention, it can be a little noisy during busy periods but just go with it! Will always go back if we want a special meal, definitely recommended

I have seen this place many times and always wanted to go but was unsure how to get in and park.One evening we went on a Sunday super quiet however it was round 9ish thats probably why! The food we ordered was proper authentic italian food! We couldn't be any more happier. We usuallg travel to windsor for this type of foodWould visit again

This was my 2nd visit, but the first for my husband. We did book, there was a very nice atmosphere and a general buzz around the place. Husband had steak with a Gorgonzola sauce, I had mushroom, garlic pasta, food was gorgeous and clean plates handed back. Had drinks my fresh drink was served in a clean glass, husbands was refreshed just by a bottle of beer for him to use the same glass, it didn’t bother him but it would have me. Pudding was profiteroles which were fantastic and beautifully served.. All in all a very nice few hours spent eating lovely food, in a very nice atmosphere. Staff were all smart and very pleasant.

Very enjoyable lunch. The restaurant was not very busy but the atmosphere was pleasant. We started with a cosmopolitan cocktail chose the day's specials, sharing two different raviolis, both delicious and extra plates were provided without asking.The main course was fillet of sea bass rolled around a filling of salmon and prawns, a tasty sauce and vegetables including saute potatoes. All very nicely cooked.We shared a very good tiramisu for pudding, again extra plate and spoon provided.Efficient and friendly service, we took out time to enjoy a leisurely lunch and were never under any pressure to leave, even though we are the last.

The previous restaurant at this location was my favourite restaurant, so La Palma had a lot to live up to. Well it was better than expected, better than the previous restaurant and my new favourite. The food was exceptional. The staff, especially the owner and young male waiter were a delight and the atmosphere was something of Sicily if you just closed your eyes. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Pasta was freshly made and delicious with a nice amount of filling. The sea bass special was very good too. Highly recommend. Don’t be put off by the location in the middle of a residential area! Thank you chef and staff.

Although the food and service can't be faulted, the popularity of this restaurant makes it very cramped and extremely noisy to the point that conversation at normal level is impossible. The car-park is very small and alternative street parking is lmited

We went to La Palma in Iver, it is just off the main road but hidden away in a small parade of shops. On seeing the location I wasn't expecting much but on entering found it to be a clean restaurant decorated to a good standard.We found the atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and attentive at all times and considering how small it is the food was fantastic. Personally I can honestly say it was the best spag bol I have ever tasted. On the Saturday night we visted it wasnt too crowded and the music volume was fine. Would highly recommend and I dont give out 5 stars that often.

We hadn’t been to La Palma for a few months and decided to take some visiting friends there last week.We ordered pasta and pizzas which were all so fresh and tasty.Also good value for money.The desserts are homemade and fabulous.On top of that there was a warm, friendly welcome and even though the waiter took ages to bring our desserts we didn’t mind as he was apologetic and good fun.We’ll be back!

This is one of the best places I have ever been. The waiters are kind and considerate and also great with kids. The food is amazing and has never EVER let the seven of us down. We go there for birthdays and everything. Thanks so much La Palma and keep it up!

We dropped in by accident to find a fantastic piece of little Italy. Really helpful and freindly staff who were very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. Although we wehadn't booked and arrived towards the end of their service they did everything possible to accommodate us. The food was home made and delicious. A very special thanks to the young and very energetic waiter.Will definately return when in the area would go sooner if we didn't live in Birmingham.

This Italian place was tricky to locate but once we did we ended up having a pretty decent meal. The food isn't very fancy but the pastas were all quite rustic and wholesome, the servings were very generous and the place was relaxed. I saw lots of kids and at least two separate birthday parties

Visited recently for my sisters Birthday. Wow a great spot, atmosphere was fab.The food all 7 of us agreed was the best we have out for ages. Super starter of mushrooms melt in the mouth. Mains all fresh, tasty and simple.

Visited recently with my partner and enjoyed everything about it. Not been in since the refurbishment and was impressed with the new look as it's more spacious yet retains that intimacy and privacy between tables. The food was, as always, delicious and the portions very good; both our mains were cooked with fresh and quality ingredients. The desserts are all home-made and are as good as the mains. The service is also excellent as the staff find that nice balance between not hovering around you and still being attentive when you need them whilst Salvo the owner takes time to wander around and chat to his customers. A great restaurant, recommended to all.

Would highly recommend this. Food is amazing...never disappointed and my fav dessert was profiteroles which are freshly baked and the best I've ever had. Staff are especially friendly and make your evening even more pleasant. Definitely my fav restaurant. Thank you La Palma x

Had been craving for Italian for few days and I am glad we choose to go back to La PalmaEverything is five star. Hearty, fresh and extremely delicious food. The house special ravioli was divine. The waiter said it was home made and we could taste that. Generous portions served with love. Spaghetti was packed with flavour. All our plates went back clean.Service is excellent. If you want to be spoiled this is the place to go for. The house wine and cocktails are very good. They do kids portion for most of the dishes in the menu. Just ask.Wanted to try more of their dishes, but was so full.Will definitely go back again. Well done to everyone who served us

We have traveled far and wide and eaten well, but this compares with the very, very best. All was cooked to perfection and I can only assume this took year's of practice. Everything arrives without a murmur and happiness exudes as all tuck in. It's family run and you can tell - it works like clockwork. The whole team deserves immense congratulations for a world class experience. We will come again, often!

Tucked away, this small restaurant certainly was a find. We visited here as a group of 6 for Mother’s Day. The restaurant was busy but the customer service received was still brilliant. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious. So much choice on the menu, so many dishes to try. Gorgeous homemade desserts too.We would definitely recommend and will no doubt visit again soon!

I have been here before one weekday lunchtime and it was pretty quiet, this time it was a Tuesday evening and it was not at all quiet. I booked a table for 2 because I always do but I thought it was probably unnecessary. It wasn’t. The place was buzzing and after a while full. The food and service here are good. It provides good Italian favourites at a decent price. I had the calamari in red wine as a starter and a bowl of pasta as a main. I was driving so my usual red wine was substituted by one small bottle of beer. This is in a funny place. Sat nat takes you to the main road where you cannot see it and you need to get to a road off the roundabout and then there is a parking area near to the residential area. The parking area is not that big but I managed to park there both times as did my guest.

This little restaurant serves up big flavors! Salvo and his family & friends Bring the taste of Sicily very much to life in this small, but perfect restaurant. The welcome is warm, the service is friendly & efficient , the food is fabulous. Grazie . Highly recommended.

We gave eaten here on a number of occasions. The food has always been perfect. We have taken many friends and relatives. All of them have been delighted. We went on Saturday this time. We took the second sitting. It was busy but we were not disappointed. Our friends were very happy. It was their first visit. They will definitely revisit. We had the Pollo Christian, Calves liver, Fillet Steak. Perfect!!I would highly recommend this restaurant

So OK only.... great to meet up with friends but the food I am afraid was pretty average. My pizza was probably the disappointing and my husbands Fettuccine was drowned in far too many mushrooms. Dinner for 4 @ £80.00+ not sure we will be back, sorry :-(

Amazing service and very beautiful location, you feel like you are in Italy! Garlic bread and the Sicilian starter was fantastic as was the lasagna and the gorgonzola filet too!

We always come back here time and time again, the staff are amazing and the food is delicious! You always feel so extremely welcome. We have celebrated some really memorable birthdays / events and they have really gone that extra mile everytime. My nonna is Italian and they always wait on her and talk to her in her own language which she loves as we can’t do the same, this place really makes her happy. We went there for my sons 47 birthday lunch. Service good but could be quicker when trying to pay and leave!! Food fabulous.Lovely fresh and comfortable surroundings.toilets!! Immaculate! Staff helpful and attentive.was quite noisy but there were a lot of children in.will go again probably evening this time.Pricey but for a special occasion acceptable.

I have travelled the world, one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. Beautiful restaurant, the best staff and service I’ve ever had. They couldn’t do more for me and our family. Just a perfect relaxing afternoon.

I was looking for a good italian a short drive from Brunel University, to take my student daughter out to nice lunch, rather than the chain restaurants in Uxbridge. I found it! My daughter, the pizza addict, declared that her Regina "without olives" was very good but said that next time we visit she will be having my Linguine Scoglio. The linguine was great there was plenty of seafood and the sauce was really tasty, I only had trouble finishing it because the Fritto Misto we shared as a starter was very generous and just had to be finished. We did not even look at the desert menu because we were both so full. The staff were polite and friendly. Mahdi provided us with the kind of service, that means finger wipes, cutlery etc arrived before you realised you needed it. We spent nearly 2 hours catching up and were never rushed and were asked if we were ready for the next course. The free parking next to the restaurant meant that the 10 minute drive to get there became a total non issue. I suspect my daughter will now be nagging me to take her out to lunch rather than the other way round. I look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you

Excellent home cooked Italian food .It is small but the food.is very yummy.Try their lamb chops also the pizzas are light and tasty I would recommend you book a table as they do have a 2hr booking for tables and it is normally very busy .

Me and my girlfriend decided to come here for our date night. We booked a table for 20:15 on a Saturday evening for two people. Around 18:00 a couple of our friends decided they would like to come, La Palma were extremely helpful as they moved tables around at such a peak time to accommodate for the extra chairs. On our way to the restaurant our friends couldn't come, so when we explained it to the waitress there was no sense of frustration, considering the restaurant was packed and they could've had a couple more customers for business. The service throughout was outstanding, the starter and main came at perfect waiting times to ensure we weren't left starved. The wine was exceptional and the atmosphere had an exuberant feel to it. Would go as far as saying this is one of the best Italians in the area, broadening as far as Bucks and Berks, maybe even London. The price was absolutely spot on as I believe we paid for what we got. Exceptional.

Popped in saturday, on the spur. Although busy they found a table for us. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and looks roomier and brighter. As always the food is great, pasta cooked perfectly and the seafood pasta dishes are a real wow. The rolled sardine startter was very impressive. What really sets this place apart are the staff, who are extremely friendly, charming, accomodating and make you feel as though you are their best friend. Tables are packed but you can have a private conversation. Most of te clinetale are local and friendly so you soon to end up talking to other people. Love this place.

Tucked away in a residential area in Iver this Italian restaurant is authentic with excellent and friendly service. Food was good although lacked a little flavour. Decent choice for vegetarians and good wine menu.

We had an excellent evening. The food was delicious and the staff were great. We had a lovely meal and then the music came on and the waiters encouraged everyone to sing and dance and have fun. The cocktail I had was the best pina colada ever. Would definitely recommend here to anyone.

what can I say again the best Italian restaurant around forget about west end la palma knocks them all for 6

We turned up for an 8pm table only to see somehow our booking was for 6pm. They were fully booked but they did not want to disappoint us and so they started moving tables around and magically created us a table for 2. All of the staff were super friendly and the food was very nice. Thanks for a very nice evening.

I had booked our table for (Thurs) 8pm not realising how long the filming would take at Pinewood. When I was told we might not get out until 9 I'd resigned myself to a takeaway on the way home but I phoned the restaurant and they assured me all would be ok and pushed back our reservation to 9pmWe finally reached the restaurant at 9.40! One table was still sitting but the staff welcomed us with open arms! We had a fantastic meal (the mussels starter easily enough for 2!) We were not rushed; despite the late hour the staff advised on wine and all courses and were not at all oppressive. We had a thoroughly lovely evening. And Salvo was away... We will definitely go back and I've been singing their praises to all who will listen. Un poco di Sicilia in Iver Heath! Grazie..

La Palma is one in a million. Great food Great service Great atmosphere. Fabulous cocktails by the lovely Maria. Salvo always ready to make your visit memorable. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
