Amazing food and friendly staff

I never review places but I am so disappointed and feel let down with this place. Popped in on Saturday for a lunch with my teen daughter, chose the Cacio a pepe as have just been to Rome and it's a favourite of mine . What I got was quick cook fresh tagliatelle with cheese sauce, absolutely horrid, no pepper, and inedible! When I queried the lack of pepper the guy just pointed to the pepper grinder. Oh dear. Plus they included £4 service charge for what? Bringing me my plate? The first red flag was when they brought the food out in 3 minutes! Charged me £36 and I didn't even eat it. Never asked me why!

Lovely cafe/restaurant. We had a short 15 mins to eat and they made us an amazing tomato, mozzarella, olive tapenade panini with rocket salad and cherry tomatoes. It was THE MOST delicious panini I have ever ever had. And the lady serving us was very lovely. The cafe decor was beautiful, felt like we went back in time. Definitely recommend!!

We recently went on a triple date and it was our first visit to Prelibato after multiple recommendations. Between us we ordered ALOT of food so we got to try a good variety of the menu as it’s quite small so we had nduja Burrata, calabrese pizzas, garlic focaccia, tagliatelle ragu, carbonara and steak. The pizzas and Burrata were delicious, couldn’t fault them but unfortunately the pizzas massively let the food down. We had 3 carbonara sat the table and not one of them had the pork cheek/guanciale was not cooked properly. It was so fatty, chewy and texturally awful, we literally couldn’t eat it as it hadn’t been cooked/rendered at all. The carbonara sauce was also super watery and overall flavour was not good either. My boyfriend had the raju and whilst it wasn’t as bad as the carbonara’s, he didn’t enjoy it either. My other biggest issue with Prelibato was the service was quite poor, very slow and there was even a dish we ordered that didn’t arrive so we had to have it taken off the bill. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good so I might go back in the future for pizza only but I won’t be rushing back.

The owners are unhinged and should probably invest in therapy. McDonalds looks gourmet next to the dishes I (partially) Scranned. And Lastly I’m pretty sure the carbonara gave me salmonella and it didn’t even have chicken in it🤢

Really nice Italian restaurant. Traditional Italian recipes and pizza to die for. spoke to the owner who was very chatty and nice... we sat outside table for 4 bill came to £110.

Very sticky tables, slow service and bland/overpriced food. Cherry on the cake was overhearing staff members shouting and arguing in the kitchen.

Had heard a lot about this restaurant so gave it a try. A little bit disappointed. Tables were sticky and a bit cramped, service was very slow took ages to order a drink and then food. Menu was run through in great detail by member of staff who then disappeared not to be seen again. Being quite small place atmosphere was good. Staff friendly enough but seemed inexperienced and little communication skills. Main course was a little too oily but nice flavour. Music speaker a little bit too much base, made conversation a little difficult.

Decided to make the short trip to Beaconsfield. It was a lovely evening. Rang to make a booking at the restaurant, they said we can seat you in the window or can seat you next door… Decided to sit next door. We were given the courtyard as an option, wouldn’t recommend it and declined. Ordered warm breads starter. Waiter kindly informed us it was a small portion and suggested the Foccacia! Somebody with initiative, or so we thought. It was just a pizza dough drizzled with balsamic. Very bland. It did not resemble Foccacia at all. My husbands main course was served at least ten minutes before my pasta. This was a meat pizza, which as you can see from other diners pictures was the standard size pizza constituting all border no filling. 40% of the pizza was without topping and all puffed up on the edges. The whole point of eating out, is to eat together. I was bemused at the incompetence of serving our main courses separately. Then my vegan pasta came up, very unappealing to the eye but edible We had also opted for the Pear and Gorgonzola salad. I was served a disgusting bed of pear, warm runny Gorgonzola not the hunks of dry cheese you expect. Minimal walnut. Drenched in Parmesan? Had to send it back. Won’t be going back. It’s a shame to write this review. But they need to sharpen up! £65 down the drain. Should have just had a sandwich. P.S I’m starting to think dirty menus are an indicator of standards.

Ate here yesterday with our two little boys. What a great address! Super nice owner and delicious food. We passed by here more or less by accident, but will definitely detour next time!

Had the pasta dish with prawns, well it said prawns, couldnt find many the sauce was very bland, and found a hair in the meal, staff wernt bothered just about said sorry.

Wonderful little authentic restaurant with great food and friendly helpful staff. We had a delicious pizza from next door and a delicious panini. The coffee is also very good. Love it!

Second time we have been in three weeks. Both times we were so impressed the most amazing food and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Felt like we were on holiday tonight, we all loved our food can’t wait to return. My favourite place ❤️

Sadly this restaurant which was once lovely has now slipped into the meh region of food establishments. Warm wine, average service, food which could have been so much better. Such a shame; as was once a favourite is now one to leave to the past.

I have eaten at this resturant 3 times now, and each time the food has been amazing, and the service is attentive. The lady that runs it speaks so passionately about the food, it just draws you in. If you want authentic Italian food this is the place for you. For a relaxed lunch or dinner this place is great. On my last visit I had the Calabrese pizza and its one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. It was perfect. Definitely recommend this place, but don't tell too many people.....

Good spot to meet up with friends, fairly small but good service and atmosphere. Simple and good food. Outside seating in good weather. Parking not too bad dependent on time of day.

Love this place and we tried their pizzeria next door Due Forni. What a gem, hand made Italian dough to make the lightest, airiest of pizzas with amazing toppings and flavours, great service, traditional decor and good vino. Very reasonably priced too, overall one of the best pizzas I've had even when in Italy!

Myself and a couple of friends wanted to pop in for coffee and we were very kindly sat in the pizzeria area at the side which was beautiful and I only wish we were there for food because the wonderful lady who seated us brought us out a slice of pizza to try and it was incredible. Already planning to come back for dinner ASAP!!

Lovely welcome from owner to their small cosy Restaurant in the old Town. Delicious ( that’s what PRELIBATO means ) food. 2 courses £25. Would go again, but add more booze to the Tiramisu please. We would book in advance next time as we had a ( comfortable) wait.

Super little find! Initially I was looking for a local non-chain coffee shop. It has an amazing atmosphere, very cozy with very friendly staff. We only had coffee and wine, but on our way out noticed their adjoining Pizza restaurant, it looked so cozy, we will definitely go back to try out their menu

Popped in for a coffee, but left having had a tremendous panini and a piece of pistachio cake. Small, but delightfully cosy, with great staff who clearly love what they do. They have also opened a pizza restaurant next door, which looked pretty good too. Actually, the panini should have been called a Panini Plus, it was that good.

I stopped here for coffee with friends on a Friday morning. Beware, the price of coffee advertised is not what they charge as they add a large service charge despite there being a lack of service. I had a hot chocolate which was luke warm and tasteless. I won't rush back.

I concur with the review below. Everything but the Tagliatelle Beef Ragu was lovely in this rustic Italian deli-restaurant combo in beautiful Old Beaconsfield The pasta was seriously over-cooked, falling apart on minimal fork-twisting, whilst the Ragu sauce was stewed to the point of total tastelessness. It’s a real pity because the mixed starter plate was lovely & fresh and tasty, and the wines we chose were fantastic, if a little pricey.

It was fine - high prices and the food was not particularly noteworthy.

My partner and I visited Prelibato last year and absolutely loved it! We revisited this evening for an occasion and we were utterly disappointed. I found a hair in my starter, we couldn’t finish the mains as the quality was awful (we don’t usually complain or leave food). We left feeling ill and very disappointed. I don’t know if there’s a change in chef but the food last year was amazing. From my visit last year I recommended this place to all my friends but now I would not.

Fantastic ambiance, lovely staff, great wine… but the food was underwhelming. I wanted to love it but was bland. Would 💯 come again in the day for charcuterie and wine but the pasta let us down.

This is meant to be an Italian restaurant. Italian may I add. I am shocked. A very salty disgusting starter. Awful. It was meant to be roasted vegetables. Main meal was very ordinary pasta with tasteless mince, no garlic, no sauce . One hour it took to serve. According to the young man, this was a special menu and he explained how all the ingredients were bought from Italy. Excuse me, apparently they are specialists in certain dishes. I have been to Italy so many times and perhaps after covid standards have slipped here.The staff could dress more neatly and not scruffy jeans. This is not the Italian way.The Italians are king and queens of fashion. What a disappointment and insult to true authentic food. Please improve. Please do not go here. If you do, buona fortuna. It is better to fly to Italy and eat authentic food there. It's a great insult. The staff have no confidence at all. You need to train them please to speak with confidence. Awful. If you want to try out real genuine authentic Italian food, try Babbo's in Mayfair, London. I have no idea who your chef is at Prelibato,but he or she needs to improve. Thank you for giving us upset stomach's. What a disgrace to my Italian friends. Imagine if you brought your Italian grandparents from Sicily here, do you think they would be impressed? Whenever I have eaten at Prelibato previously the food was fantastic, the venue relaxed & the service charming. I decided to try out their new pizzeria tonight and unfortunately their high standards have not transferred. The food was acceptable but the music was loud and the food service was slow. The table staff were polite however when it came time to pay I sat at my table for 10 minutes without an appearance. I calculated my order values and left cash+20% tip only to be chased down the street to be told that they do not accept £50 notes. When I asked why, I was told they do not accept old £50 notes despite them being legal tender until the end of Sept 22 and that I had to pay by debit card. There was no indication that cash payments were not accepted. Sorry Prelibato but you lost a loyal customer tonight.

Waitress was hot, food was mid. Came back after a few weeks just to see that gorgeous waitress again, I ordered beef Ragu and I was probably better off going to Maccies for a quick egg and cress wrap. But I guess the food was 3/5. If you see this waitress, my DMS are wide open

The inside is small and dark. I had a latte and a slice of cake at 11am which cost £9.34. A total rip off. Nothing special about the coffee or the cake. There was a guy serving who seriously made no effort what so ever...

Hands down the best Italian going. The staff are so well mannered and the food was brilliant. Props to their chef!! Will be visiting again definitely recommend to everyone. P.S the owner Cristina was full of personality and made the experience great.

The starter and wine were good- simple unctuous olive, slices of cold meats were nice- the main dish was a beef ragu with pasta-under seasoned- blended meat and therefore no texture- unfortunately did not taste of anything

Prelibato was the perfect Italian experience in Beaconsfield. Beautiful sunset in the background and as the evening sky changes it's colours, we decided to have some Italian aperitivo experience. We ordered some burrata with pesto, as well as the scamorza which was the melted cheese with fig jam, some bread and scoffed away. The espresso and some dessert. Which was heavenly.

Prelibato is a delightful, cosy, high quality Italian restaurant in a beautiful part of Beaconsfield old town. Impeccable standards with a well executed, classic menu. Bowl of pasta and a glass of beautiful montepulciano on a cold Saturday lunchtime - bliss.

Terrible experience. The pasta (beef ragu) was awful, dry and tasteless. Requested a refund but was refused.

This beautiful cafe oozes personality and the food is exceptional. Traditional, Italian food - which even extends to croissants. Lovely owners, so glad they made it through lockdown as this place is a real gem.

Having experienced a very slow journey we were ready for 2 excellent espresso coffees in a real Italian restaurant. Our main courses were delicious in flavour. Service was friendly and efficient.

I am so thankful for my amazing Valentines Evening meal, all made easy by Prelibato. When I called to place my order the lady was so accommodating and really helped me with my choices. I did not believe a take away could taste that good!...

The food was fantastic- we ended up trying starters, mains and desserts which were all delicious and coupled with a great selection and wines. It had a lovely cosy atmosphere and really attentive staff- a great meal out and we’ll definitely be returning.

The service was fantastic! Food-wise some dishes were very good, some not so much. Highlight of the meal was the home made tiramisu. Overall a nice place to stop.

Have discovered this little place not long ago. May be I should keep it secret :-). Coffee is perfect (I like it strong but rounded and with smooth notes), their food is delicious and packed with flavours. I have only been for coffees/brunch and had a superb toasted foccacias with pancetta, mozzarella and tomatoes 😋 They also have great cakes, croissants, biscuits. I can t wait to go for dinner soon :-). ❤️
