The best restaurants serving Irish food in Southern NI

Rooms are large and clean. The power shower was amazing! Radiator was a bit fiddly and I ended up having to turn it off as the room got too warm. The bar and restaurant are convenient , great food in the restaurant. I had the fish and my wife had the steak which we shared 50/50. Breakfast was great as well.

Called in with 3 friends today for a drink on our way home from Naas, got a round of drinks which was 1 pint 2 wine and 2 soft drinks and the most ignorant barman I have ever met said it was £25, when I asked was he sure he said yes, I asked him how much the wine cost he said £6.50 each which I find astonishing, so as you can imagine I will never stop there again.

We went for lunch yesterday after recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. The nicest lunch we have had in a while. They also have a great deli with homemade meals and butchers. The quality is fantastic. We spent a small fortune bringing some meals home for the freezer! The staff were so nice and the sit in area was full on a weekday which is always a great sign. We will definitely be back very soon to try other items on the menu.

Overpriced and terrible Food. Waiting staff tried there best. I ordered beef cheek. I am aware this contains fat but for £30 terrible excuition and explanation.

Myself and my wife went for lunch, yesterday the 7th July. We both had the fish supper meal and found it to be the best we ever had. So many restaurants, hotel's,cafe and carry outs tell you it's Cold,so many times we have been disappointed so we vote with our feet and don't go back are order something else This was diffently Cod at it's best. We sat in the front of the cafe beside bakery,the girl who served us was excellent,so nice to see someone who are pleasent and professional,also noted a young guy servicing and he was also excellent. No doubt next time in Newry we will return and will have no hesitation in recommending The Shelbourne. Keep up the good work. Chris & Jackie Bleary Portadown S

Where do I start with the gratitude and appreciation that i have towards the staff of the DUKE Warrenpoint!! Last October I first reached out as been a warrenpoint born I wanted my party in my hometown warrenpoint. So i reached out to Joanne and Amir inquiring about having my 60th birthday celebration at the duke that just took place on friday, November 8th. I had 87 guests for sit down buffet and at least another 30 guests for the after meal. ALL my quests have not stopped reaching out talking about the great night they had and the delicious food they ate and including the well worth hangover lol. At the party I had a local DJ Bill Donnelly who was amazing and played the list of songs i requested from the 60's 70's, 80's,90's and 2000's. I also had the 360 degrees photo booth by Patrick Graham that was well used by my not to shy family and friends and also the delicious GENOA CAFE ice-cream cart serving up their amazing homemade ice-cream. I wanted this party to go off as i imagined it and it did exactly that to every little detail i visioned all the way to the 100 shots that was given out to my guests after the cake. The dark chocolate cake was delicious created by Megan Mathers. Also shout out to 54northoccasions for their bday balloon table display. Awesome job!! If you are ever thinking of having a birthday celebration or a smaller wedding or even any type of celebration this location is a must. Thank you! Thank you ! Thank you. Libera. Florida, USA

Lovely breakfast. Plates are nice and warm so your food will never be cold just watch you don’t burn your fingers! Coffee was lovely as well. Highly recommended.

Times have changed since management changed the table settings like a school trip for 50/60th birthday surprize meal parties. Not spread out enough take ages to take menu hour kids served 1st starters then main adults wait hour half main meals come kids running looze angered bar staff & other packed bar guests for start week only June not xmas to be packed noisy setting 25 odd up in bunker 43 area one long table not spead out & now charging for jug of juice used not be former friendly man. Staff anxious looks at others unknowing thinking when take menu last guest late arriving not well organised cake to last never got chance speak give birthday gifts at packed table ltd space.
