Salley's Restaurant in Dungannon

I phoned the restaurant to make an enquiry about the menu,'firstly I spoke to a lady who couldn't get me off the phone quick enough she then put me through to a man, he was rude & extremely unhelpful. I was so disappointed as we were hoping to go to Salleys but after this telephone conversations we definitely didn't. Very very disappointing!!

Booked and arrived on time. Walked in and confirmed our reservation and pretty much went down hill from there. We were pointed to our table, had to wait for menus as the 2 parties of 2 people that arrived after us appeared to be more important. When menus did arrive there was no offer to take a drinks order. The menu is heavily Chicken orientated and nothing is exceptionally unique. Indeed even the chicken goujons appeared to be from frozen or chilled. Accuracy of order was questionable with a number of sides coming to the table that were not ordered. Eventually we had to ask one of the passing staff members if we could place a drinks order. This was after our starters had been cleared. All in all, I could go on picking holes in the service, attention to detail, quality of food, etc, etc. but all I will say is that we had a very disappointing experience and not up to the standard we were expecting.

Dined in Sallys Restaurant last night. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly & efficient & the restaurant was very clean. I described the meal as one of the best meals I have ever had. Will definitely be back!!

My wife and I took my mother for Sunday lunch, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient but I went for the grilled cod. The fish was a little overdone and I’m pretty certain that it wasn’t cod, cod is a chunky and flaky white fish and this was a thin and more dense fish, more like whiting. Apart from this, everything else was excellent.

We had booked for lounge restaurant and when we arrived waitress took our orders and said ooh you were here last week with people like them( as the people we were supporting had intellectual disabilities). Then when we got our orders, we didn't receive gravy for one of the meals, which they need to be able to eat as its easier for them to eat and had to go and ask. Then waitresses said it wasn't even on the order , however it was ordered. Then when we had just started our mains another waitress arrived with the desserts but we were still eating our mains. We were waiting at least 20mins or more that we had to go up to waitress to ask for our desserts. Waitress said she had just been out with us and we said no it was over 20mins ago . Then when waitress came out she was like ooh is it okay to lift these now. I said yes of course as we had finished our meal and then the desserts arrived . However when we went to pay bill they did take the gravy and tea off the bill as we were waiting so long.. However it was the table service that was poor as the food nice. However when we came home we saw that we had been over charged by 5.50 so they may as well not have removed anything as it cost the same Would not recommend this place and will not be back

Lovely food, great portion size, friendly staff, awaiting fudge cake tbc, will let you know in due course

Really good menu, really tasty, nice atmosphere. Three different main courses at our table and all were really good! Only criticism was that we were 45 minutes between ordering and the food arriving but think we just got unlucky with whoever took our order as food was arriving to tables all around us. Didn’t get dessert because we were too full but they looked delicious- would definitely go again!

Powerful feeding, not with a big stick could you beat it! Plenty of choice and a superb atmosphere, brilliant altogether.

We have used this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. We booked by phone at quite short notice but were immediately accommodated. The welcome is always warm and the number of staff amazing. They are all immaculate and really friendly. We specially liked Melissa who took our orders and for whom nothing was too much trouble. The service was speedy and the food excellent. The buffet sweet table was amazing. Good value for money. One criticism is that we were unable to add a tip when paying by debit card.

Dined here for lunch, 1 sweet chilli panini with garlic fries. 1 beef lasagne half And half with rice And chips. My mums lasagne was huge, was served with peas and sAlad and then dishes of rice and chips. Mine came with smaller dish of garlic fries, coleslaw and side salad. Both of us very happy as food hot and tasty. Only lost a star as my garlic fries were a bit bland. We had baileys cheesecake for desert and a cappuccino. My cappuccino was roasting I loved it. Only here twice but always seems very busy, staff very pleasant, good parking outside, will definitely dine here again.

This is a local restaurant to us and we have visited many times. Service is always second to none and food is of the highest stand and plentiful! No matter how busy the restaurant is they will always try and accommodate even without a prior booking. Excellent restaurant always very clean and tidy.

A nice place to stop on the way down to Dublin (or the way up). Just on the Main Street and very handy. Restaurant is nice, staff are lovely, food is excellent, value is good. They have a separate gluten free menu and and are knowledgable and accommodating.

We came to Salley’s for a birthday dinner. We enjoyed a lovely family friendly meal with a good gluten free menu as well. Would recommend for any family to enjoy a nice pleasant meal together.

Met here on a Monday evening for dinner with relatives for a long overdue catch up. Restaurant was very busy before 7pm with customers taking advantage of the good value 'Early Bird' menu. The restaurant was virtually empty by 9pm! There is a good and varied menu available with a range of prices to suit most pockets. Two of us enjoyed the cod from the Early Bird menu and two enjoyed the Bushmills Chicken and Chicken and bacon pasta dish. The portions were very generous and prevented one of our party from having a dessert. Desserts were delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and would happily recommend.

Visited with my son on a Friday evening.Place was very busy but service was great.Food was very tasty with good sized portions.Euro was accepted no problem.Great value at 26 euro for both. Lovely dining room with friendly staff. This will become my pitstop between Donegal and Dublin in the future

Salley's is always great value for money and the food is tasty. We always stop while passing through Aughnacloy. We also travel about 20 minutes to eat at Salley's. I have also recommended Salley's to friends.

Lovely restaurant with a small seating area downstairs and a larger dining area upstairs. The staff are warm and welcoming. Their ever attentive attitude gives the impression that no ask would be to big, yet carefully balanced as to not be intrusive. The bright personalities of the staff bring a smile to my face, with them being engaging and not afraid to joke, creating a relaxed atmosphere.Food is delightful with large portions which will fill anyone with just a main course. The menu is not excessively large, yet there is something for everyone. Even so, saving room for dessert is difficult but definitely worth it, with a large selection of beautifully presented desserts.If you're passing through stop in and give this wonderful place a chance, you won't be disappointed!

Visited on Sunday 12 Aug, 2019 at 7.30pm or so. Asked for a table for two and was told to go upstairs to table A5. Went upstairs and was stopped by a waitress who asked me where I was going, I said table A5. She pointed vaguely at the far side of the room. My partner and I went and sat at the table A5 next to the window. The restaurant was fairly busy, but with a lot of staff around. There was no menu at the table at all, and I expected one of the staff to bring us one. Nobody came near us. 5 mins went by, then 10, then 15, and still no staff came near us. Trying to get their attention didnt work, we were completely ignored. I watched 2 members of staff standing over a table who were already eating, not doing anything in particular. Another went off to find crayons for a child who was already eating their meal. After 20 minutes of nobody coming near us, we got up and walked out. At the register at the top of the stairs were ignored. Going down the stairs past the ground floor register, again we were ignored. My partner went back to inform the supervisor/person at the register that we were leaving as nobody had bothered to come near us. Rather than get an apology or an explanation, this lady asked which table we were at. When my partner informed her that it was table a5, she just got a grimace in return. I cannot comment on what the food was like, or their value. Their service was the worst I have ever come across anywhere. We ended up going to the Rainbow cafe next door, where we had really good fish and chips.

Can't fault the food in this restaurant. Had the small sirloin from the early bird menu this evening which was cooked to perfection, good portion size and great value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful despite being so busy. Never had a bad meal in Salley's and would always recommend eating here.

Had special starter then Sally’s special steak, both were excellent. Place was full but this didn’t detract from excellent service and food. Must visit place. Heading to bar where I’m sure service and beer will be just as excellent.

Called here today with friends on way home from short break. Beautiful surroundings and very friendly staff . It was my first visit though my friends had been before. I had beautiful homemade veg soup an the rest had freshly made scone which were lovely. Would def recommend Sally’s for a snack or meal. Make sure you use the rest rooms as decor is fabulous

The place was already buzzing with happy people eating when we arrived . We were greeted promptly, taken to our cosy corner table looking out onto the street. Menus arrived, orders taken, food very well presented, hot, delicious and more than adequate portions. The waiting staff were polite, friendly and helpful and the whole place is very well organised. We were glad we had booked as not many tables vacant and will be back soon, I hope!

Unreal feed and good craic with the waiters too. The food melted in the mouth and was the best food out of the North Coast of Northern Ireland I have tasted.

Visited for Birthday lunch & was accommodated with a beautiful Gluten Free, Vegan Green Thai Curry.....I am a very sensitive Coeliac who is also Lactose intolerant. I’m always very nervous about eating somewhere new but they have a very good Gluten Free & Dairy Free menu....staff were very confident & able to answer all my questions & reassure me. They have a very lovely menu. Well worth a visit....very Coeliac Friendly.....dedicated fryer for Gluten Free

I can't believe I forgot to review this place! We stumbled upon it as we were driving from Donegal to Dublin. The staff were very lovely. We had soup and sandwiches, which were tasty and fresh. The sandwiches were filled generously. It was a lovely, relaxing stop for us.

Been visiting Sallys for years and never had a bad meal. Staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Serve the best desserts around. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Can't recommendation it enough.

Had Lunch in Sally's on Sunday, it was very very busy and why not great food and good service with loads of choice especially for the desserts. Euro for Punt is always nice to avail of. Had Roast Beef dinner, two lovely slices with mash and lovely big roast potato. veg of cabbage with cauliflower and carrot/parsnip all served on the side. Dessert is a choice of ALL they have to offer on the day..yes..pick and eat as much as you want. You couldn't beat that.

We have been coming here a good bit over the last few years and we’ve always great feeds.The restaurant was renovated a few years back and the new decor is really nice and warm.The choice of food available is brilliant for a small town like Aughnacloy and they even have a full menu with Gluten Free options for me which is great to have on my doorstop.Keep up the great work

A great place for lunch/dinner. Plenty of choice, great value early bird menu at 2 courses for £13. We found the service quick & staff very helpful. The food was very tasty. The toilets were beautifully decorated and clean,something that Always gives you an idea of how a place is run. We will definitely return.

Called into sallys restaurant for Sunday lunch and what an excellent decision. Dined upstairs, where we had the 3 course dinner. Everything came out piping hot and very tasty. Service was quick and with a pleasant smile . And then table spread with deserts was an eye opener, and as it was self service it was a tough choice! ( a little bit of everything was very tempting ) .Will definitely be back in the near future and euro for sterling was an added bonus.

We stopped in aughnacloy on our journey to Donegal again yesterday as we usually do. Lunch in salley's is tradition and again it didn't disappoint. Good variety menu, quick service and tasty food. The restaurant was busy as usual but we didn't wait long to be served. I had chicken supreme and the husband had roast beef. Both were delicious and good hearty portions. We will undoubtedly be back!

Was passing through at lunch time and decided to pop in as it was € for £. Staff were good and decor inside was immaculate.I ordered the burger special which was an 8oz burger with bacon and cheese with side salad and chips. As you can see presentation was very plain. Salad was just mixed green leaves with some dressing. Perhaps salad with some tomatoes, peppers , onion etc would make it more appealing. The burger itself was fine and chips too. It would take very little to bring this up to 5 star and excellent. Hopefully these few tips will be taken on board.Presentation is key!!!!

Service very quick , kept very clean even though busy, decor is fab. Homemade desserts are hard to get anywhere we had a sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake and a homemade apple pie with homemade custard everything was perfect. Coffee was excellent and they offer euro for pound. Overall higher than a five star.

Meal was just beautiful. Everything perfect. Staff very professional and so friendly even though they were very busy. Certainly would highly recommend.

We had a lovely dinner, sharing a steak dinner and yummy dessert. We went early and by the time we left, the restaurant was very busy.

....with reasonable prices. Nicely mixed up menu the sort that would cater for all tastes. Car parking maybe a little further away then you may want but the street is wide and long. The Smithwicks (which I can take or leave) was outstanding.

Was staying in the area with relatives. Popped in here for the Early Bird Menu. Excellent service and food. Will definitely return when I am in the area again.

Called in to salleys about 12.just opened.plenty of tables to choose from.waitress took our order and in a very short time brought two lovely chicken dinners.really delicious.finished with pavlova!all in all pleasant experience.

We discovered this place by chance. Had a lovely steak with pepper sauce, which was quite big and had lovely crumbed onions on top of it. Desserts were all lovely.. we had banoffee and chocolate fudge. Service was good and quick, pricing I think was moderate. Decor leaves a little to be desired, a bit outdated.
