Absolutely delicious food from this wee place. The chef is friendly and engages in conversation if you're waiting for your food. The smell entering is enticing. I had buttermilk chicken burger and I've never had chicken as tender, too much of the sauce was put on, it really doesn't need it, let that amazing chicken speak for itself. The beef burgers were nice too, meat overload you'll not leave here hungry for sure. I'll definitely be calling in here next time I'm heading to Newcastle, oh and they even take phone orders.

Friendly service. Lots of choice. Iced fingers are great. Sausage rolls are massive and tasty. Mini cinnamon loaves are amazing. My go to bakery in Ards.

Excellent chips to take out! Possibly the best takeout chips we have ever had accompanied with excellent customer service. The lady was very generous in her portion size and welcoming to us as first time visitors to Northern Ireland. We were very impressed with the opportunity to gift a meal which we did! A must chip shop to sample.

Morelli’s ice cream is nice and creamy which I like... I got the salted caramel which is quite rich and really nice. Very good ice cream!

Overall a pleasant evening. Nice atmosphere, careful menu and good wine selection. One issue was with the lamb main course; 3 of the 6 in our group ordered it and 2 of us were unable to eat most of it due to it simply being too tough to cut through. The maitre d commented on the fact that we’d left it, asking if it had been too rare for us… when I explained it had been too tough she made no further comment; a little disappointing!

Had a very tasty snack here today, chicken , peppers, onion, sweet chilli, on a crusty roll, topped with melted cheese 🧀. Was scrumptious! Very fast, friendly service, will be back again if in the area ! 💯

We go here relatively often, one of the favourites are the Salt and Chilli Chicken, of which personally the starter portion (with some fries) are large enough as a main for me! The staff are always friendly, and we were recently here for a little catch up with some family on a Sunday lunchtime, which was lovely. I recently had a rump steak which was ok, I would have liked it pinker than it was, but the waitress did say when I ordered it, that because of the cut, that it might be hard to do, so I accept that. Everyone else seemed to be pleased and we enjoyed ourselves. Edit (3/5/25) - Have been back at least 4 times since review above, and have added some more photos - Crab Arancini is excellent as were the Sea Bass and the Hake 👌🏼

Called in on spec as we'd read great reviews. I ordered the salt and chilli chicken starter size as I didn't want a big lunch. My partner ordered seafood chowder. My "starter" portion was pathetically small. 3 or 4 tiny popcorn sized pieces of fairly tasteless chicken on a few leaves and garlic mayo. It would not have satisfied a 5 year old much less an adult. My partner said her chowder was nice but she found several bones in it. I think she was being polite as it didn't look appetising. She had a pint of Guinness zero and I had a half pint of Guinness. The bill £27 ....a shocker for the tiny portions and lack of taste. The atmosphere in the restaurant was akin to a mausoleum. The waitress was pleasant and the toilets were spotless. Based on our experience we will not be back. The Lobster Pot or the Artisan, both nearby are much better.
