Friendly service. Lots of choice. Iced fingers are great. Sausage rolls are massive and tasty. Mini cinnamon loaves are amazing. My go to bakery in Ards.

I work hard for my pay each week. So when I spend it in your shop your staff could at least look like they want to be there and also a thank you would be nice after I said thank you to the lady who served myself.

My work friends and us love a cinammon loaf at tea break. It is truly delicious. Other favourites are carrot cake, iced fingers, jammy iced fingers, German biscuits and their wheaten loaves.

This has been a bakery I have used for many years and the bread is not only tasty but it is so fresh it lasts far longer than the breads from supermarkets. Not being able to eat diary it is difficult to find tasty alternatives, but not only do need do pizza bases that I can use to make my own pizzas, they just started doing vegan pancakes, something I have longed to eat since I found out I was intolerant to dairy. The pancakes were fluffy, sweet and very tasty. I will definitely be back for more!

.like many northern Irish \ Irish when you leave for pastures new you hammer and pang for comfort. For years I tried to find potato oaten or pratey oaten as It was called . ....my brother enquired and let's Just say.these lovely people baked it especially for me.This is the kind of service once offered in small shops. . The taste brought good memories flooding back .The shop does need a little advanced warning but it's worth it. Staff are incredibly helpful and cheerful. If there is something you remember ask them they are ever so accommodating.Lovely local service unlikable chains. You are treaters a customer not rushed.

I used to go to this wee home bakery for their cinnamon iced barmbrack, when it was called The Harlequin, and owned by the current owner's parents. I still love that product, but also go for newer items like the mini pizzas (bacon and cheese, bacon and cheese with sweet chilli sauce, or my particular favourite, goats' cheese and caramalised red onion). I also love their lemon sensations, cheese and bacon sodas, donkeys' lugs and loads more. To be honest, I haven't tried anything I didn't like, but just pointing out my own personal highlights.

I called from Australia to order cakes for my mum’s birthday. The staff at Knead were really helpful and went above and beyond to help me out even though I only gave them a few hours’ notice. Nothing was a problem to them and they even decorated mum’s birthday cake and delivered my order locally. I have also heard from mum that the cakes and buns were delicious! Thank you for helping to make my mum’s birthday special.

Graham has transformed the old Harlequin bakery, which is itself was first class, into one of the best bakeries in Northern Ireland. The selection of breads and cakes on offer is second to none along with some great savoury options with sausage rolls, Northern Irish pasties and mini pizzas. The staff are great, friendly, attentive and quick and I can't rate this place highly enough

called in to purchase buns for a friend coming for morning coffee. When I looked at a loaf we called a milk loaf which I had not seen for many years. Bought one and took it home. My wife said the same as me that brings back memories and we have continued both purchasing the milk loaf and there beautiful buns. Plus the staff are very helpful.

called in there the other day, bit hard to get parked at but there is a carpark right opposite it. If you are shopping in Newtownards town centre give it a try, just opposite the public toilets. Very nice food, very good prices and a lot to choose from

Disappointing The batter on our fish dishes was not cooked, white and slimy on the inside. Message from chef was that batter mix was too thick and needed to be thinner. For crying out loud, a chef should know that before sending food out to customers.

If you want to sit in a completely unhygienic environment that smells of fried food and going to the toilet is an adventure, come here. Not one seat did NOT have food on either the floor, the seat, or both. About half the tables still had all the dishes from the previous service, and no one appeared to have any intention of cleaning up. Interestingly, at the time we were there (3pm on a Saturday), there were only 6 others tables with people at them (approx 25% capacity) yet we went here because the coffee shop immediately next door was completely full of customers. I wonder why. Toilets, what an adventure. I felt I was in an episode of Mr Benn. You walk through a doorway that says 'toilet', and you are immediately in the middle of a ladies' clothes shop. There is no further signage for toilets after that, so I had to go back and ask. You go through the ladies clothing, up 2 flights of stairs, and then enter a 7 digit code to get into a toilet (which of course was disgusting and had no toilet paper) with no apparent way of locking the door from the inside. Seriously, what on earth. That said, the food was okay, and the coffee was nice, but it's not worth the hassle as not at all relaxing. Staff seem friendly enough, but there is really no urgency to keep anything spotless, which makes you doubt the food hygiene. Disappointed.
