Lovely spot for a beer and some good pub food. Never misses the mark and had a great contrast between the old pub in the front and the modern restaurant type spot out the back.

Booked late for 5 people and staff very accomodating.Food was excellent as was service.Very busy and great atmosphere in the place.

Food was excellent, service, for the most part, was really good and my only complaint about the atmosphere was the creepy customer that called my friend over to say she looked like his next ex wife and kept weirdly staring over. It was not the first time I've been with a group of girls and been creeped on in here! That is, of course, no reflection on the restaurant, hence the rating.

Absolutely lovely meal, not in restaurant but the quality was there. It was Monday evening beginning of December. Staff and food excellent. Beautiful old building full of history. Sure it's amazing on a weekend. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely place, good service and great food. Provided a high chair and a childs meal for our granddaughter. All perfect.

Was only able to pop in here for about 40 mins but definitely got the vibe I would stay here for hours and enjoy myself the old furnishings at the front entrance really have so much character and the Guinness wasn’t have bad either

Booked table to meet up with friends for lunch. Needn’t have worried about pre booking as only another couple of tables taken in the restaurant. Not much atmosphere. Our food was ok. One friends curry sauce was much too spicy and she just drained the meat and vegetables from it to eat with the rice. Afterwards ordered dessert which in fairness, sticky toffee pudding was good. Ordered tea and coffee with the dessert but had to ask waitress again for these . Then we asked for shortbread which was brought. Nice to have a shortbread finger with our hot drinks .

Went to Graceneills as party of 4. Greeted at door by friendly staff. My coat and husbands coats taken to the cloakroom. Service was excellent as was the food. I opted for 2 starters. Goats cheese and chowder. Both was very tasty and presentation was good. My husband enjoyed his so much he booked for his staff Xmas dinner.

Lovely night out for the family. Though the seating arrangements are super snug, there was a great vibe in the place. Everyone enjoyed their food. The butternut squash risotto was pretty horrible though- zero flavour. Staff are super responsive and very friendly. Live music was soo good but the volume needs to come down a tad. All in all a nice place to visit!

We visit Grace Neill’s every time we visit NI and are never disappointed. Consistently friendly staff, delicious food, and wonderful atmosphere in both the pub and the dining room.

We’d been meaning to visit here for a long time. We’re in the sister restaurant, the Groomsport Inn quite a lot and love it. Needless to say, Grace Neill’s did not disappoint. We love style of the pub; traditional in the front but with a contemporary eating area. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive - a fantastic asset. The food was incredibly good as well; partner had the Roast of the Day whilst I had the crab claws, paired with wine and followed by sticky toffee pudding for dessert. 10/10 would recommend and will absolutely be back.

Here visiting family from France. Went to Grace Neill's to celebrate my parents 58th wedding anniversary. Out of the 6 meals we ordered 2 had to be returned as they were stone cold and came back after approximately 10 minutes still the same temperature. The third meal (seafood gratin) was supposed to consist of smoked fish, salmon, white fish and prawns. Unfortunately they forgot the smoked fish and the salmon was off. We told the manager who said he would let the chef know and come back to us, he never returned and uttered a weak apology as we were going out the door. I acknowledge that the seafood meal was removed from our bill but for somewhere my parents visit often the visit was very disappointing and managers response poor.

I was treated to my Sunday lunch as part of my 70th birthday present today. Was very impressed with the premises and staff. We were a party of four plus children. All the meals were lovely apart from the birthday girl! My order of portavogie battered scampi was terrible - just battered balls of nothing!! I could not find any prawns. I'm just sorry you let the place down by serving up such an inferior meal.

A good place for food when visiting the east coast! Went here on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The menu was great, catered for a lot of different tastes. We opted for the seafood sharing platter, which was well priced for the variety and amount of food. Atmosphere was good, plenty of people and some live music also.

Just had a lovely lunch here. Have been here many times over the years, including my dad’s 70th five years ago, but it’s been renovated in the last 12 months which is great improvement. The food was very good, as was the service and the ambiance. The only slight negative would be the very loud telephone that you can hear above everything else. I will definitely come back as the food and service were excellent.

Great variety of menu and the food is always really tasty. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Gone are the days of it being a serious food destination as it now serves what everyone else serves, albeit not as well. I remember it being in the Michelin guide, now it advertises tribute bands on the street outside its front door. Very young Chav crowd who all look like they were tagged at some point in their lives and I don’t mean on Facebook.

Only called in for a drink and it was expensive. It was well populated and busy and seemed to be serving good food and well run. May return for something to eat.

Birthday dinner with family. Excellent vegetarian & vegan menu options

My wife and I were here last night for a meal. We had the mixed bread starter to share followed by the chicken tacos and the grilled seabass all of which were absolutely fantastic, some of the best plates of food we've had for a long time 11 outta 10 definitely be back soon.

Lovely lunch, and great service. We had scampi and fish & chips, crumble for dessert. Lovely modern restaurant. Highly recommend.

The most organised, the best and most smooth running service I have experienced in Northern Ireland in the hospitality sector in the last 2 decades. Big shout out to all the lovely staff doing absolutely superb job! Very well managed, smooth, prompt, polite and overall lovely service :) good food, beautifully presented the actual restaurant part was comfortable and cosy maybe minor thing to consider: could do with a bit of a decor upgrade on the curtains element and little details perhaps like fake flowers on the tables to be replaced by real ones or just leave those out :) but that is just minor detail! As of food and drink offering would love non lactose vegan milk like oat milk or soya milk please:) overall had a great experience especially impressed with the service: all stuff and than lovely food :)! Highly recommend

A Top Class Restaurant. I Rang On The Off Chance Of Getting A Seat Late On a Sunday And Was Gladly Accepted.. The Staff Were So Pleasant, Friendly And Attentive. The Food Was Delivered Quite Promptly And Not Only Was It Plentiful... It Was Delicious.. Clean Plates All Round.. I Would Highly Recommend This Place And Will Be Back For More..

Visiting from Australia, could not resist popping in for a Guinness in the oldest pub in Ireland. Great beer, but the bar tender could have been a little bit more friendly in keeping with every other Irish person on my 5 day trip.

Food and service always great but we were there on Friday night when the live singer was in residence. For the bar it was grand but far too loud for the restaurant patrons. Made for an uncomfortable meal.

Ok, I will admit I came here just after lockdown, sat in the first bar, and thought this is quaint. Had a pint and left. I had no idea that the back was so modern, and a great little beer garden at the back. Came here in the afternoon, had a drink, and didn't leave for six hours. Live music, a happy hour, great food and it wasn't too expensive. A wee car park at the back, but this is a spot I would happily return and spend an afternoon. Or dinner.

I haven't been in here in years .what a surprise we got what a make over food was lovely and a very good choice for gluten free options . Will definitely be back .

First time having food in Grace Neill's and it was worth it. Everything was lovely. Service was very good and staff were very friendly and pleasant. Great range of food and also daily offers as well. Good range of desserts and cocktails. Will definitely be back again to try more of the menu.

A very livley atmosphere,and busy service,the food here is excellent,I made the mistake of not asking the chef to cook my food the way I like it, as a result it was slightly over cooked next time I'll ask.but on the whole the meal was excellent and service on a Saturday night was great.looking forward to dinning there again.

Took my mother for her 70th birthday, and I had heard great things about this place getting a revamp. Maybe what we experienced was not the norm, but it was shocking. Poor service, bland food, and a cramped restaurant you couldn't hear yourself think, never mind, speak to the rest of your table. Was introduced to our "waitress" only to never see her again after our drinks order. Starters arrived with bits missing, maybe they ran out, maybe they forgot them, I'll never know, cause the food was left. Tried to get several peoples attention as one of the starters was a sharing platter for 2, only there was no plate to share with! Mains came much later and again bits missing, no explanation, nothing. We were brought a dessert menu, but no one ever came to take the order... people appeared to be going on break, servers getting their coats on and walking past clicking lighters, or getting their dinner. I walked up to the counter to pay the bill, and I'm guessing she could see from my face I was extremely unhappy, as not a "hope everything was all right," just the receipt. She was far too busy being chatty with the 2 young male servers with her. I'm sure they're normally better than they were that night, but the food was tasteless. It looked good, but there were no seasonings, bland, dry. With 3 other really good restaurants in spitting distance of this place, I'll pass next time and head to one of those.

I have been here for a quiet drink and also for a family meal. The service is excellent. They are great with children. Good value for money.

Didn't eat. Cosy pint with old and new friends. Front bar (the old bit) is just as cute as a bar could be. If you're a tourist it's well worth a visit. If you're a local you already know.

Went yesterday...for the first time. Mum dad and 2 babies....the staff were unbelievable...so helpful and friendly. The food was out of this world...I'm a harsh critic....but this deserved 10/10. Best meal we have had in a long time. Top notch

This used to be a great bar and restaurant but that was a very long time ago. I had dodged it for almost as long. My extended family had been enjoying dining in another local bar but wanted a change over the Christmas period. I did warn them! We encountered no covid check on entry. Service was simply poor. Food was so bad most of it went back. They love their deep fat fryer! I rarely comment on toilets but they really were grim. Panels hanging off walls etc. Zero evidence of cleaning checks. Just what you want during a pandemic. The good news is my clan will not be dragging me back again. The bar deserves new management.

We went for a Sunday dinner with our toddler son, we all got the roast beef,mash,veg,Yorkshire pud, roasting and gravy. It was delicious can't fault it, even our son couldn't get the beef in quick enough and said it was yummy awesome. Goid portions, just enough not too much, delicious. Quick smiley, friendly efficient staff. Along with a bottle of white wine 2adults one child came to £53.00. pretty decent price with a guy singing in the background, definitely will be back again. Awesome as son put it.

Food was delicious, staff friendly however a few of the staff were wearing masks inappropriately while talking to customers at the table and the gentleman who came round asking was everything ok not wearing one other than that an enjoyable experience
