So slow they really need to change the set up how they serve customers.

Have about 4 staff in the place and none off them knew how to make the drink I asked for, twice I had to take it back up ended up just getting a different drink, food went cold waiting on the drink coming, nat be back!

We ordered food for delivery and ended up cancelling the order as it still hadn’t arrived an hour and a half later. Don’t advertise for delivery if you’re not able to fulfil the service.

Extremely disappointing. Ordered the Boxing Day toastie, double checked it did not include cheese (menu didn't state it and asked the person taking order). Came covered in brie. Couldn't be eaten. But it was also barely toasted, and overall looked unappetising. Kids meal at £6.50 was also ridiculously expensive for what it is.

No liquid in the frappe it was 3/4 cream and is ridiculous for the price of the drink !!!!! Not happy

Wow! First time ordering from here and certainly won't be the last! We ordered two full sodas with an extra egg and put a comment asking for the eggs to be runny, and they were perfectly runny! Lovely wee note wrote on the boxes & a wee joke brightend our morning up and a lovely touch ☺. Will definitely order again. Thanks

Sent the wrong chips with burger and hotdog meals and got about 5 chips with the kids meals, rang up and was told there was nothing they could do about it

The breakfast wrap with HP was awesome. Wrap was sealed well and egg had a soft yoke.

Delicious and loved the note they sent with some free cake. Made me smile ☺️

Left one of the meals of completely and as no drivers only choice was to request a refund or go down which defeats the purpose of delivery tbh the food was good small portions but tasty

Very happy with the order, food was tasty. However was missing the beans, which has happened on past few occasions. Unsure if still part of the fry up as it’s been missed consecutively. Pity as I like my beans in a fry.

food arrived pancake stack with maple syrup and cream and soda with chilli jam and cheese. no syrup no cream no chilli jam and no cheese not impressed.

Waited 15mins for 1 hot wrap only 2 in front of me when it came cold inside..10 uncleared tables this was at 1.30 people came in & walked out again wouldn't go there again needs a good clean aswel..terrible makes menarys look bad...

Went for lunch was extremely busy staff were really friendly and smiling even though working obviously under great pressure. Couldn’t fault the young girl that served us she was apologetic for the delay. With the amount of people I would not say 29 mins was a delay.

Service very slow. No lids for takeaway coffee. Ordered fruit scone but got plain one and price of scone had gone up by 30 p since last week. Very disappointed as a regular customer at least three times a week. Will try other coffee shops in the area.

Met my wife on her 45 minute lunch break she ended up having to leave with a takeaway box as her panini which simply needed heated took over 45 mins to serve. I'm currently still sitting here having been approached twice with the wrong order some 50 odd minutes later with no food.

Food was very nice but service was appalling apart from one gentleman who seemed to be doing everything. Food took 40 mins to come despite being a small order. When approaching to order another drink for my daughter who had joined us. I was completely ignored by 2 female members of staff until the gentleman arrived and served us immediately. The female at the counter was extremely unprofessional. Won't be back in a hurry

Always a good place for a quick bite to eat.

We’ve been here a few times but I haven’t been back for a while. I loved their Caesar salad so I suggested we go to lunch there again. I was so disappointed, it was not the same. The salad was dry, they took out the bread so you have to pay extra to get them. And when I ordered cake for £4.50, they gave me the thinnest slice of cake! I don’t think I’ll be back after this.

I was having lunch with my husband today, and we decided to eat here. How we are regretting that dodgy decision! . I ordered poached eggs on toast with bacon. I asked for.soft eggs, as I really don't enjoy eggs cooked any way other than really soft. I was assured theyde be soft. My husband ordered burger and chips. Our lunch arrived. If I had dropped the eggs onto the floor, they would have bounced back up. So I returned them. They came back around 10 minutes later. They were slightly softer than before, so I settled for them. The rest of the food had obviously been reheated in a microwave including the toast. It was all dried up and chewy. The toast was more like crispy bread, than toast. I had asked for 2 slices of black pudding at the beginning. It had also been reheated, and was dried up and crisped. The cost of the 2 bits of black pudding was £4 . I thought that was a bit steep. As for husbands burger and chips. He had 2 two ounce burgers topped with a cheese slice, and a handful of overcooked fries. This lunch experience almost spoiled our lovely day out. On the plus side, the staff were nice. Pleasant and friendly. Just think they definitely need to retrain or change their kitchen staff!

Visited your toilets today in store. Toilet furthest from entrance..... filthy and smelly.. No toilet paper. Empty reels on floor. Bucket of dirty water, including toilet paper, below sink catching water from a leak Floor and edges disgusting. Dirty papers on floor also. Shameful if you think acceptable customer care. Obviously health and safety unimportant in both your cafe and toilets. Other reviews would confirm.

The staff are friendly. My only problem with this place needs a deep clean. Walked in for lunch every empty table had dirty dishes and trays on them. I understand they are busy especially over the weekend. I go in quite regularly I always have to get a highchair for my wee boy. EVERY TIME I’ve had to clean the highchair thoroughly! They are never cleaned they are either sticky or left over food from the last child. Plus the floor looks like it’s not been cleaned always dirty. It does bring the place down a bit. I can’t fault the service but I just think it’s in DESPERATE NEED for a DEEP CLEAN!!

Bob and Berts is great. You know what you're going to get, We had lunch in the belfast branch last week and coffee in the Newtownards branch on Sunday. Good coffee, non dairy options, good atmosphere and sensible prices. All good!

Bacon through the fryer, can’t even cook an egg. Absolutely rancid and over priced. Coffee syrup spilled all down the side of the cup. Server just looked at the plate and walked away.

Blue moulded garlic bread and it’s not the first time we’ve had problems with the food.

Great to have somewhere like this in the town. An extensive menu means surely there must be something for everyone. The are plenty of sharing platters and great burger options too. The only minus, if there is one, is the scones are quite poor but the coffee is full bodied and staff are quite pleasant. One rainy Friday morning we called in for coffee which was very nice and here's something fun and quirky to do. Try and get a seat below or facing the big world map and try to find the incorrect spelling of some countries. In the short time I was there I spotted 8 in total but you may find more. Good hunting !

Attended recently with a friend at this local cafe. I ordered the all day advocate smash breakfast, which was delivered to me by pleasant and helpful staff. The dish was very tasty.

Expensive for what you get - coffee left an aftertaste. We were not sure whether the varnish on the tables was meant to be 'stressed' - we found it a bit sticky and wondered if it harboured germs! Toilets had no paper or soap :-C Staff very busy, some left us feeling we were imposing on them: while one girl was friendly and helpful unfortunately a male employee was quite curt and not helpful. Do not feel encouraged to return or recommend to others. Overall we were quite disappointed.

Great food an coffee and really nice staff

This place had really gone downhill! Had to ask for a table to be cleared so that I could sit down to take my coffee. Noticed an elderly gentleman in front of me who sat down at a table covered in dirty dishes. Staff member served his food to the table, left the dirty dishes and directed him where to pick up cutlery. Very slow and poor service. Furniture in dreadful condition. Coffee very poor. Not much going for it really!

edit: down from 4* to 1*, two days later and definitely have some form of food poisoning from this place. really not having a good time right now with the side effects and it sucks because the food was quite yummy. went in today for a quick bite to eat before an appointment and the food was honestly really good and the portions were well big. unfortunately didn't agree with my tummy too much after a few hours and felt a good bit ill the next few hours and the first fork i noticed in the cutlery holder was dirty with old food, but little things like that happen at times and the rest of the place seemed quite clean so not bothered too much :)

Time for a good deep clean. Tables very dirty. Come on you can do better.

Visited on a quick call for a coffee and tea take away . Give my order and the girl said be few minutes. Proceeded to sit down and wait and wait and wait while the girl who took my order refilled something . I waited 10 mins and then went back up to till while she was serving someone else who since came in . I said my order she said u order here to which I replied i did 10 mins ago !!! I then sat down again and watched her mouth the a fella who was working who then took a great stare at me !! Totally shocking customer service needless to say I won’t be back !!! Avoid if ur in a hurry

Good vegetarian options and good flexibility to take away dishes

A lovely breakfast with 2 of my grandsons. Service was quick and efficient even though it was quite busy. Food was delicious. Staff were welcoming and willing to cater for the needs of customers. An enjoyable experience. Wishing all the staff a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Good food the only thing I would say is on entering the premises we went to a table a member of staff asked about ordering first funny that others in front of us done the same thing every time you go in it's usually the same situation there should be a sign at counter saying order food before you take your seat something to be addressed I think

My daughter and me went in today and ordered the veg soup it was disgusting just flavored water with veg not a grain of barley or soup mix in sight 😒

Nice coffe, but cake and scone both dry/stale, and customer service needs improvement. The official closing time is 5:30pm, we arrived at 4:40pm and were told they were closing early because they didn't have any customers. There were 3 groups of people wanting to be served, how can they pretend they have no customers? Grudgingly they let us have our coffee, but it took ages to arrive so we had to rush drinking it as they kicked us out at 5:10 anyway. Won't be back in a hurry.

Visited on a Saturday at 12.00noon hoping to beat the lunchtime rush. It was a disaster! Waited 45.minutes on 3 bowls of soup?? Really, good job we didn't want a full meal. We finally gave up hope and asked for a refund which was duly given back by the manager without much of an apology. Won't be back!

Visited this morning and had coffee and cake which was fine but was most surprised to find that the toilets were next door in Menarys shop, upstairs. You have to get a code from the staff to punch in in order to open the toilet door. Bring your glasses as the keypad is small an hard to read! When I eventually got the door open I discovered that the toilet flush was not working and no toilet paper and the toilet was in a disgusting condition. The other one was exactly the same! I complained to a young male member of staff who couldn’t have cared less. He said to take it up with Menarys but I said that if they were for the use of their customers then it was their responsibility to ensure they were fit for use. Glad I wasn’t in a hurry or a wheelchair as I couldn’t see disabled access. I definitely won’t be returning!

Been here many times with my children as food is good and normally staff too. Yesterday I was told twice there were no tables...not in a nice way..even though people were leaving every few minutes. When I asked for our table to be cleared and cleaned before the food arrived, the staff member barely replied and was not pleasant at all. We won't be back any more

Food basic but good volumes. Always seats available. Service was slow and order was wrong when delivered. However this was immediately corrected.

We visited here on the jubilee weekend with my two daughters. It was obviously busy and even in the queue I wasn't sure but my daughter wanted to stay. The guy at the till was not listening to our order and started to ring it up before even asking me if I wanted anything. Every table was filthy with plates and food. We moved stuff to another table to sit down but even on the floor was an assortment of food, napkins and condiments packets. I had to remind a server three times would they please wipe down the table, which only happened when the food was brought, insuing in a juggle of plates of food and table cleaning. I went up times to get cutlery and asked for some twice for our food. The food was meh, seemed very reheated or something.... a mess of stuff on a plate. None of us wanted to finish. Every aspect of this restaurant needs retraining. Don't bother wasting your money, a very overpriced lunch.

Young lady shouts across counter. Kitchen will be 30 minutes. I would just like coffee and drinks for the kids. Shrug. Another customer pushes in and get served. I’m invisible. So patience. After being invisible for 5 minutes. Decide to leave. Really bad service. Can’t comment on food.

Called in here for some lunch. Ordered 2 paninis and chips, coffee and a soft drink. Came close to £18. Unfortunately the panini was very dry and not particularly nice., also after eating them we noticed they were not as described. I think we will try other cafes in the town and give Bob & Berts a miss.

Had a hot white chocolate, couldn't really taste the chocolate so it tasted more like a vanilla steamer. BTW any nut allergy sufferers, there is hazelnut syrup in this.

Lovely friendly helpful staff. Good selection of food and snacks. Reasonably priced. Good service Tables etc kept clean and tidy.

We ordered breakfast for two and took our seats. 20 minutes later we asked for update. 35 minutes after ordering the breakfast arrived but were both wrong. The porridge was a pitiful half cup of luke warm porridge but without the sultanas as ordered. The fried breakfast arrived with two items missing. A really poor experience, no one apologised nor tried to make things right. We will not be back there.

Almost £10 for this , never order take away from Here they will most definitely mess up your order every single time and the prices are ridiculous for the quality !

The service was absolutely horrendous, the staff were running around like headless chickens and unhelpful. I'm from a customer service background for the last twenty years and believe me I would not get away with service like what I experienced.

Food wasn’t very hot and one curry dip was missing

Have tried a couple of Bob and Berts and they all have all have a chain cafe vibe. Food is a bit more on the expensive side and often feels like it's been microwaved 6 hours after its actually been cooked.

Came in quite late and got a fry. It was really tasty. And even though I came in near closing time the staff was still happy to serve me.

Very poor filling in an expensive panini, disappointed, had better before lockdown. Doubt I would go back.

I had a lovely panini in here at lunchtime today, the food is always nice no matter what you get. They have lovely cakes and treats too.

The grilled cheese was so hard it was not edible. The rest of the food was fine.
