The best restaurants serving Irish food in London

We arrived 20 minutes before restaurant opened and it was suggested we wait in bar - this meant we were first in for service upstairs in the restaurant They clearly weren’t ready to open and it took 20 minutes to be served and then we were told a minimum 30 minutes for food. Other diners arriving afterwards appeared to have pre ordered - not sure why we couldn’t have been given that option when they knew we were waiting in bar? After ordering starters we were told 2 weren’t actually available, which left only one option for the gluten-free member of the party Then when starters arrived, one was wrong - no big deal, we accepted it. Thirty minutes after starters were cleared 3 of 5 mains ordered arrived One main hadn’t been prepared at all - so we cancelled it. The other missing main course was the gluten-free burger. Turns out the didn’t have any and instead offered a burger on gluten-free slice of bread. We cancelled that order too. Food itself was average. Steak and Ale pie was short on steak and burgers not particularly warm. Coffee was cold. Bill included 20% service which we did not pay But if someone had just apologised or even given us a free starter we would have paid it Wasn’t the waiting staffs fault, they were fine - down to kitchen and management. Toilets are filthy

I visited yesterday and ordered a drink, and I have to say Faisal provided exceptional service. With a warm and friendly demeanor, he offered great recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic experience. His kindness and helpfulness truly brightened my day! Be careful the door staff are thieves. On entry, the door staff took away a christmas present given to me by my team. This was a pair of whiskey tumblers. I asked if I could put it in the cloak room and they said no. They collected the item at the door and stated they would give it back at the end of the night. At the end of the night when I asked, they did not have time to look for the item as they were closing up. When I emailed lost property a day later, they said they did not have the item. So it was stolen with no apology provided by the establishment

We received great service and was made to feel welcome by all the staff. Food was fast and tasty. They have a nice little beer garden to. We recommend and I’ll be back soon.

Great atmosphere served by Mick great pint warm and welcoming stopped of as herd it was a lovely pub next time we will eat there

My friends and I came here after work last night - it is such a comfortable pub! The prices are very reasonable (£18 for three drinks, two of which were larger drinks) and the atmosphere is great all round. The staff are also great and the refurb has made the pub so much better. I would definitely come here again 🥰
