Food was almost cold and part of the order never arrived. Portions were not very large and mac and cheese was mostly cheese and very little mac. Staff was friendly, if overworked, and place itself was beautiful, but cannot recommend eating there

Good food. Pleasant waiters and owner. Great interior vibe. Recommend stopping by. We stopped by on a Sunday for the Sunday roast.

We waited for 15 mins - no service. We had to get the waitress to come to our table ourselves. Even then, we were treated in an impolite way. Parts of our order kept being forgotten. After paying, the waitress just turned around with a quiet 'bye'. The only friendly employee was the barkeeper downstairs. Would not recommend overall.

Had a lovely meal here with friends. Not busy for a Saturday night surprisely. Nice atmosphere, service was good and good selection on the menu. Some of the dishes were better than others, especially in terms of portion control/balance. For example, the chilli dish needed more rice.

Great pub in good location, food is excellent.... warm welcome from the staff on arrival... Staff are attentive and always polite.... Friday night karaoke is great as well. Thank you to the Staff and Management... keep it up.....

We went to the Hyde Park and felt really cold due to rain. To protect ourselves from cold and get a bit warm, we headed to this cozy pub. The ambience was soothing and the drinks were good too.

Amazing amazing amazing!! Loved this place so so much! Went with my girlfriend and 10 of her family before heading to Harrods. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us and gave us the best service! Our family then had the BEST dessert we’ve ever had! If you haven’t, do yourself a favor and get yourself the Eton Mess:)

The fish & chips were excellent, the breading and browning were crunchy and not at all heavy. It is served with french fries and steamed peas. The price is around £15. Varied choice of beers on tap, from Guinness to English ones. The furniture and lights give it a typical English pub atmosphere. Prices in line with London. Advised.

Probably not a 5 stars but 4 aren’t enough. Very well maintained pub. Great interiors and a decent selection of cask ale. Ideal for a date, an afternoon reading or a friendly chat. On a busy street but once in the world outside doesn’t matter. Screen for sport and not-too-loud music selection. Special mention for Theo at the bar. Friendly and attentive. If you’re around pay a visit to this place.

I was at the Paxton Head closing an urgent deal as my original booking at Bulgari proved a disaster. The pub is incredibly hospital with wonderful staff. The manager Ali in particular was most welcoming to me and a delegation of Japanese and South Korean delegates. The deal, at one point in jeopardy, was concluded with laughter and risqué Asian stories. Thank you Paxton Head! I flew back to my Zurich pad with fond memories. No doubt will be there again conducting future deals - who needs 5 star service when a Guinness and pork scratchings made me a potential fortune in business!

I was visiting London for usual 3-4 days to see my Boston friends while they over for a week. It's very rare I am in Knightsbridge area, but their hotel was, so we called in for a drink after one of their route marches through the Capital! What a really great pub, staff so helpful and friendly! Of all the Guinness my friend had during is week this is the only one with a Shamrock on it! I was offered a fair choice of wines - had a lovely Pinot Rose. I really like the layout inside. On my next visit in few months I will make a purpose visit to this district purely to have lunch here.....and a vino of course!

Pop in for lunch today, what an amazing time we had ... ! We ordered steak and ale pie and fish and chips that was really delicious, my friend have some allergy with food but manager taken extra care for that and helps out with our oder ,he was so kind and generous ,he's name is Ali thanks for looking after us

Just launched a new menu so we decided to try it out. Great food, very plentiful. The Scottish mussels are a must if you’re looking for something from the special menu. Staff were very helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Have had a fabulous time at Paxton’s head that offers a great selection of drinks in a lovely atmosphere. This pub is located in the heart of Knightsbridge, which is perfect after a day shopping at Harrods. Will be back!

We got small measures in our pint glasses. They begrudgingly fill it up. But we were told management told the board staff to pour short measures!!!! What disgrace.

Wow. What can I say… I’m lost for words. The team are so joyful and energetic. This experience was absolutely amazing. I will not forget this dinner in a lovely location central London pub. The staff really stood out. Big thanks to Najja, Esther, Malachi and Bailey. They were superb throughout the whole evening and were quick to attend to any order even though it was getting busy. Visited for dinner while in London with friends - great atmosphere- service from Sydney was exceptional very friendly & polite - I had battered halloumi followed by chicken burger - very traditional pub with great decor! I will certainly be back

We met friends for a Sunday afternoon drinks and nibbles Really quaint bar with plenty of seating with extra seating in the basement Drink’s reasonably priced for London so a bonus and plenty variety to choose from We had spoken to several members of staff during the afternoon they were all friendly and extremely helpful Clare and Simon the Managers have recently taken over the pub And you can tell because they are putting in a lot of effect to keep customers extremely happy Really lovely afternoon just chilling

The pub is friendly and inviting and the new manager Simon and assistant manger Claire are so welcoming, they make a great team. The Sunday roast was delicious and we will definitely be returning. Great pub to visit while in Knightsbridge or after a lovely walk in Hyde park.

It was a really bad experience. Bad service especially for a young girl. We arrive at 21 and we ask to eat but the kitchen was closed, but we read that it was possible eat until 21.30. we pay for simply nuts six pounds, more than how we pay for the beer, actually all around the world if you get a beer nuts came with what you drink for free, the girl she doesn't tell us that for the nuts we have to pay.

The long-standing tradition of patronizing Paxton's Head has provided us with many enjoyable experiences over the years. However, during our recent visit, we observed a notable deviation from the usual standard. The culinary offerings appeared lacking in flavor and freshness, resembling reheated leftovers. Furthermore, an oversight in delivering a component of our meal necessitated a reminder to the staff, resulting in a prolonged delay and evident confusion in rectifying the error. Regrettably, the ambiance was marred by the staff's apparent disinterest in providing attentive service, as they were observed engaging in personal conversations rather than attending to the needs of the sparse clientele present. The decline in overall quality and service prompts us to question the recent changes implemented at Paxton's Head.

Absolutely awful. Don’t even think about coming here. Everything we wanted to order was finished, had to choose from whatever was left. Got 2 Sunday roasts and a chicken sandwich and the sandwich arrived after 25 minutes from ordering, which was pretty average, Pret will make a better one, while the Sunday roasts arrived 36 minutes after. The Sunday roasts were absolutely inedible, had to drown everything in gravy to give it some flavour. And honestly, I got 1 bloody carrot on the plate… seriously? Better no food than to waste your money here.

The staff seemed pretty occupied, but nice. The food (Korean burger, chicken Kyiv and steak and ale pie) came quickly and were decent. Unfortunately some beers were unavailable, so as the sirloin steak. All in all, good place for British cuisine and local atmosphere.
