Went for a meal this evening at the Raj and have to say it’s the nicest Indian I’ve had for a long while. Everything came out hot and quick. I sampled two curries, both of which were extremely tasty! Great service, cute little place and also serves a nice pint of Madri! Will definitely be back and highly recommend

Waw! First time here but definitely won't be the last! Staff were polite & professional. Inside the place was lovely & food was lush! Massive menu, found about 7 things I wanted! Front of house was very friendly as well coming over for a chat after we'd finished food.

Great service, naans were nice and fluffy and cooked well. My youngest 15yo had a Pathia that she was pre-warned would be hot, but polished it off without noticing anything spicy. I had a balti, it was tasty and the meat was cooked very well, but came away feeling that it was lacking in intensity of spices. My older daughter and son had a Korma and a Tika, both tasted sickly sweet, my son found the tika chicken to taste great on its own; both unfortunately left most of the sauce as the sweetening was just too much. 2 of the guests were celiac so could not eat the breads; would have been really great if they could offer GF breads as the flour is now available. I’m guessing that the dishes are adjusted to accommodate the local palate, so if you’re used to a more authentic flavour ask if they could make it a bit more spicy? If you don’t like sweet curries confirm which ones are like this and avoid. Above all it was a nice dining experience.

Very impressed with the quality of this first take away that we've had. I got the set meal for two, plus an extra Ceylon vegetable curry. Portions are very generous, and all the food was delicious, espcially the lamb bhuna and the Ceylon curry - outstanding and full of coconut. Service was really nice and efficient. I like that they supply a good cardboard box to carry the food.

How refreshing to find an Asian restaurant that does it more than a little differently, but also does it better! So you have to take your own booze, if booze is your thing. That’s the first difference that makes it seem a real Asian restaurant, however the staff will chill your wine or beer if necessary , they just won’t sell you alcohol. The menu is different to most Asian establishments in that it’s a set menu for three courses. When we went the basic menu was £22 which is very good value. There were four of us and we had a few extras but it did add hugely to the total bill. From the moment we walked in the staff were attentive and professional as well as super friendly. They talked us through the menu, advising where necessary and then kept us topped up with our drinks. The food in each of the three courses was exceptional. Tasty, wholesome and filling. Zamana knocks spots off the other Asian options in town, we each hoped they would continue to maintain this level of service and food excellence. The chef came out to speak to us, informing us more about their background and experience and we, all four of us, wish them every success in Carmarthen, it is truly deserved!
