Used it often however lately the quantity and quality has lowered. Play a game of I wonder if there is any chicken in the curry. If you do find some it's usually four small pieces they way you are supposed to think you got lots....aye continue treat customers that way and it is you that will lose business. Sadly that is the theme in Lanark and Carluke, low quality and Quantity take aways

Used as a takeaway, we ate from Sultaans twice whilst staying in Hawick. Great tasting food, possibly the tastiest versions of what we normally eat that we've experienced. Lovely flavours and good portion sizes. First experience, we received the wrong rice (not an issue for us but shows a lack of attention) and didn't get all the dips that we had specifically asked for. Second time we used them there were no issues. The restaurant was empty both times we arrived to collect our orders but there is seating for approx 16-20 people ... although only approx 2/3 of the space is furnished so it feels a bit "odd" when you walk in.

Absolutely fabulous food and service. 😍 We decided against going to the 'Indian' restaurant in Peebles due to its horrendous reviews. 😱 If you are nearby you must try this one instead. (sit in or takeaway). It was one of the best, if not the best, Indian meals we have had. 😋 We had poppadoms, a mixed sharing platter, two tasty curries, a nan bread and pilau rice. With drinks it cost us only £60. The owner & staff were friendly and subtly attentive sharing local knowledge of attractions and events after our meal. 😁 A lovely & honest family business worth supporting. 😎

We stayed for 2 nights in April, as we arrived the 1st thing we liked was the beautiful location very quiet with a large lawn with benches at the side. Parked the car and looked for the entrance, was a bit baffled as the door which we realised must be the way in could have had a welcome or entrance sign above it as it wasn't very inviting. The reception desk is also the bar dinning area, which as our stay unfolded we thought could be planned out a bit different ,people checking in or out as you where eating your meal, strange ,and as it's got rooms either side, could be a better set up, The 2 meals we had were both lovely, fish was beautiful, and the chicken curry perfect for my taste. The room. Was very clean. Shower came hot eventually and was a bit in and out ,hot then warm then hot again . Bathroom clean . Good size double room. Tea,coffee biscuits. The owner was very hands on and the staff all nice.Nice stop off on our jny further north.

I can only talk about the quality of the food and the taste experience of the food. Such a disappointment. Bland, non discript curries that were really poor and underwhelming, and expensive for the end product. I want to support local businesses but I cannot recommend this place for takeaway curries. IMO there's no excuse for under flavoured, under seasoned and under spiced curries.

We eat Indian food everywhere we go, regularly cook it at home and we buy takeaways from different restaurants once a week. It is usually excellent. This place was the first really disappointing experience we’ve had in years. Ordered four main dishes which were all basically the same. Characterless, watery veg and really lacking in flavour, complexity and depth. Texture of each sauce was the same too. Pilau rice was just basmati stained with turmeric and the naan was flat and dense rather than fluffy and light. There is not competition for miles around but seriously… must try harder. Not at all recommended.

We order from here most weeks as the food is so good. Couldn't find anywhere that matched this when we lived in Edinburgh. Fresh flavours, huge range of dishes, inexpensive and huge portions. The klfds love it too. Worth travelling to Peebles for.

I went to collect a takeaway on Sunday after 4pm. The restaurant was not busy and it was just me in there when I went to collect. I ordered chicken tikka masala, chips and a naan bread. The container was half filled with what looked like watered down sauce. I could count 6 pieces of tiny chicken and I could count the chips because the portion was so tiny. The naan bread was soggy and seemed like it had been microwaved. By the way the photo was everything on the plate bar the naan bread, and no I haven't half eaten it. I'm sorry but how is that good value for £13.75?

Went for the Sunday buffet, service area quite crammed and staff pushing in and out when helping children is quite unprofessional, our kids are over 12 years so paid adult price which is fine but definitely need to look at juice prices being the same as an alcoholic drink
