I don't live around here, but I've made a habit of visiting when I'm in the area over the past few years. This was my first visit in over a year. I've previously found it to be decent, if not amazing, but worth a visit. But things have changed. The prices are shocking. I intended to get a couple of poppadums. The cost for poppadums and some dips? 5p short of £6. Seriously! Six quid for poppadums! There is an option for just one dip which reduces the price to 'just' £4. I didn't bother. I was going to have a naan bread, but that was £4 as well. Ok fine, I'll just order a main course. Ordered a vegetable curry. £10. I don't eat meat, but the meat versions were another £2 on top of that. Rice was £4. I ordered a coke as well, didn't see the price of that. The food arrived within six or seven minutes of me placing the order, which was a little surprising. But it did taste fresh. Unfortunately, that's all it tasted. It had no flavour at all. It just tasted of nothing. And the portions were tiny. I've never seen so little rice, let alone for four quid. I was still hungry when I left. It was all so disappointing. Then I went to pay. £20. Didn't think anything of it at the time, then later on I realised I'd paid almost £6 for a glass of coke! Not even a pint, a glass. Six quid. I'm a big fan of Indian Restaurants and I've eaten at many. I also know what prices you'd expect to pay. Genuinely, I've never felt so ripped off. Seriously, don't go here.

Attended as one of a group of seven friends. First course was, allegedly, a prawn puri which consisted of puri bread with prawns on top, then liberally coated with what seemed and tasted like tomato purée. The head waiter saw my reaction and took it away, saying that this would be removed from the bill. Second course was lamb bhuna, a dish which I’ve enjoyed in many an Indian and Bengali restaurant, in various parts of the UK and also within India itself. I’m afraid that this consisted of lamb which appeared to have been warmed through with nothing more than some (tinned) chopped tomatoes and a bit of curry powder. When I mentioned to the aforesaid head waiter that I had never experienced a version of the dish like this anywhere else, I was informed that “ that’s the way we prepare it here”. All I can add in that case is that it’s an awful long way from Dumfries to Dhaka.

Food and service fantastic! We ate here tonight and everything was brilliant & really tasty and at a reasonable price. We had chicken pakora, chicken achari, chicken tandoori sizzler, rice and naan..everything was perfect & very tasty. We also managed to squeeze in some gulab jamun for dessert too ..... mmmm dessert! The restaurant was very busy (Saturday) so if your planning on eating 7pm onwards I would suggest booking a table

Where to start. Came down to Dumfries for QoS v st.mirren match. Quite a few saints fans in here on Saturday night. Booked a table for 8 pm guy couldn't find booking. Eventually got seated about 15 minutes later . Ordered the usual poppadoms and stuff, was nice. Then it was down hill all the way. Partner got chicken tikka sizzler, was very dry , also came with the wrong curry sauce. Mine was lamb with spinach (pardesi) off the medium curry range and it was cold in the middle. Naan bread was the worst I've ever tasted in an Indian restaurant. Then the waiter dropped a dish of sweet chilli sauce over my jeans and trainers. We were there for over 2 hours and the phone never stopped once, oh and nobody answered. Waiting for an hour and a half between courses is ridiculous. The table behind us was where all the take away orders were placed. Not one was delivered while we were there. No wonder the phone was in meltdown. It was starting to get on everybody's nerves. Shame for the people of this brilliant town that the worst Indian restaurant in paisley is better than your best one . I'm giving you one star as I'm not allowed to give minus one.

I’ve eaten a lot, I mean a lot of Indian food over the years, but rarely to I review a restaurant. This place deserves a review and moreover, you, the reader of this review deserve a brilliant curry. The owners are funny and friendly. Great Punjabi food, made with fresh ingredients. If you like it hot, tell them, they won’t disappoint you. I recommend the Keema Rice as an accompaniment to your meal. This is the best and freshest I’ve ever had.

Having heard that the restaurant was taken over sometime last year, I went to try it out and it was absolutely lovely. Food hot and plentiful, and so tasty. The staff were friendly, too. Restaurant could be doing with upgrading, but won’t put me off going back! Looking forward to our next visit.

If the takeaway is going to take 1 hour 20 just tell customers. Getting told 50 mins and having to wait 30 mins every time is annoying.

Business meeting. Excellent catering. Nice blazing woodstove kept us warm on very cold day.
