We did not stay but had a delicious meal in a lovely warm room served by a really nice waitress and we will be back.

Great hotel, very welcoming and well located to walk into Castle Douglas and indeed to explore the locality. Rooms are good value, well equipped and spotless. I'd strongly advise eating in the restaurant, cozy atmosphere and the food is excellent.
