The best restaurants serving Indian food in Scotland

Just a very good and consistent quality of Indian food served…. Try a few dishes but I reckon one of the best Pathia dishes I’ve ever eaten.

Chaskaa is my number 1 curry take away service. Like most Indian curry lovers, I have tasted many curries throughout Edinburgh and Chaskaa Punjabi Murgh - one of their specials is the best I have ever had and will continue to have. Their Chicken Pakoras are the best we have ever had, just as the onion bhajis were delightful. I have recommended this place to work collogues who have visited the restaurant to eat in and loved my recommendation: Karahi, Punjabi Murgh, both dishes they loved. I have been in the restaurant to collect my order and the staff are the best, I mean really could not get nicer people, very friendly and who take the honour of serving you, the same goes for the delivery person , we have seen a few different drivers and every single one of them makes you feel like 5 star service, the food, the packaging, the staff, everything is perfect. I would recommend. Just an FYI, you get money back on each order, its like a points loyalty system, on average we get £2 on each order back into our chaskaa account, it feels great after a few orders you end up with a free curry or even a free meal.

Having read the reviews thought I would try it,wow,love my Indian food and have one at least once a week,but this was by far the best I have ever tasted,the service was very good and the kingfisher lager was superb,the taste was amazing and I have booked to go again Friday night,carnt wait

Not for the first we've used Koshi for a special occasion and as usual a really positive experience. Friendly staff Great choice of Indian / Nepalese dishes. Only wish we lived closer!!

Tucked away on a road in the middle of nowhere really this understated restaurant does a mean Indian. Although the decor and toilets could do with a bit of love and attention the food here was amazing. Fresh tasting, well prepared dishes and lots of trade for both eat in and takeaway meals. Quite possibly one of the best Indian meals we have had for a while. If ever your this far North, it is well worth a visit.

Truly excellent thank you so much! We are a family of 4 so bought a selection of dishes. All great :) The lady serving was very chatty and friendly, assisting us with flavours. A gem of a place for a rural place like this. Enjoy!

Excellent take away, food fresh and very tasty, staff very friendly and helpful, kebabs top notch, will definitely be back.

Seems to be closed this week, not sure if it has shut done. There is no sign on the shop door to say it is closed or how long for. Tried to order through Just Eat and my order has been refunded. You should not be allowed to order online or be shown as open if you are closed and not delivering food.

Tuvimos una excelente comida en el Koh - I - Noor. La comida era de primera clase. Tenía el Rezalla - cordero tierno en una salsa con sabores profundos, ricos - y mi esposa tenía el Tiger Special que dijo que era genial pero yo estaba demasiado lleno para probarlo : - ) Servicio atento amable que fue más allá de lo que esperábamos. Muy recomendable.

I am a great lover of Indian food and as I’ve only moved to the area a couple of years ago and tried many Indian restaurants in the area I would rank this as one of the best. Both sit in and takeout food is excellent and the staff are so hospitable and such ambassadors of the restaurant. I would highly recommend that you try this restaurant and will return on many occasions

Great food, reasonable prices, no complaints. A 5 minute drive from my house to collect and friendly staff. Would buy food there again.

Me sorprendió lo ocupado que estaba, ya que no había oído hablar de ello de mis amigos que son locales de Edimburgo. Estábamos encantados con el servicio de comida y toda la experiencia sin duda volverá en mi próximo viaje al norte.

Increíble pequeño restaurante de gestión familiar, el servicio fue rápido y amable con ellos comprobando que nuestra comida era buena durante cada curso. Teníamos la pakora mixta y todas estaban deliciosas, yo comí un pollo tikka masala mientras que mi pareja tomó un cordero rogan josh que disfrutamos los dos. Las porciones están bien dimensionadas y buena relación calidad-precio. Tengo la sensación de que volveremos antes de salir de la ciudad.

Went here last night, for two Birthday celebrations, my friends 65th, & my 80th.The food was nothing short of amazing, hot, good portion sizes, & lot's to choose from on the Menu. The king prawn sizzler I had was beautiful, & you could tell they were fresh. My fellow birthday girl, had a cheese nan among other things, that she said was fabulous, My Husband, wolfed his food down, & said he wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. We weren't rushed,were asked if we were ready for the next course. or did we want to rest for a while ( which we thought was so nice ) The new owner, could't do enough to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. This is a lovely Restaurant, affordable, & with a great atmosphere.Will see you again very soon, & hope you get lot's of Customers, as you certainly deserve it. The effort you've put into the Mountain Spice restaurant definately shows...Well done ! See you very soon.

Fantastic meal, absolutely delicious! Delivery bang on time and great value . Easy to order online , best ordering through the website 👍👍
