Be warned that the Indian Palace, formerly Spice, is going through another transition and is currently shut while being refitted (Nov 27th, 2024). Signs on the windows say it will be reopening soon as the "House or Biryanis and Kebabs". I hope it still servers restaurant style and isn't just a franchise clone... Below is from 2003. Ate here the other day with the kids as a group of 3. We were well looked after by the main waiter who recommended the prawns which were fresh that day. Had the prawns for starters, a biryani, and two curries along with a couple of naan and some rice. The lamb in the curries and biryani was some of the tenderest I've had in the UK - will be back for more of that! Good portion sizes, including the plain rice, though a few more poppadom bits on the poppadom and chutney starters would be good. After trying curry houses in Timperley Village and The India Palace in West Timperley (on Manchester Road), the India Palace deserves many more return visits.

Good Indian food and friendly service. The restaurant itself was a little chilly and would have benefitted from heating or closing doors. Reasonable vegetarian selection, which is stronger in the starters than the mains. Good to have the option of slightly spicier food. The challenge in Cheltenham is competing with some really great Indian fusion restaurants.

Staying at the nearby Premier Inn as a base for the M5/Cheltenham Festival & looking for a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Friendly staff & good service. Poppadoms & tasty pickle tray. The curries we had were delicious & a garlic naan with plenty of garlic & just enough pilau rice. Didn't feel too stuffed afterwards either. See you again next March!

We dined at Indian Panorama with friends. The physical restaurant is lovely and clean. The service and food were exceptional! I had a marvelous chicken jhalfrazie (spelling?) - the chicken was very tender and the sauce was sweet and spicy. Thanks for a wonderful evening, Selmen and Shiv!

This place is a small piece of foodie heaven. My hub and I had a fantastic meal there tonight. He's a meat eater who enjoys milder spices, I'm more of a veggie eater who enjoys hotter meals. I had a gorgeous panic puri, as a starter, Street food served with style, and tikka paneer naga. Just wonderful with a gobi bajhi. Service was perfect. Attentive, professional and personable. A great place to eat.

I have to be honest! I eat from curry houses or local tandoori restaurants every single week. I decided to try this place and am genuinely shocked at how poor it was. The poppadoms taste like fish The Lamb biriyani was so bad, the meat was tough and so over cooked. The vegetable curry that accompanied the biriyani was bland and full of frozen veg. Very poor quality and I will not order from here ever again. How they can sell such bad food is shocking. All in all 2 out of 10. The order arrived on time so I give 1 star for this. Really was poor quality!

5 years since my first review (below) and the food and service are still excellent. The prawn and venison starters were both unusual and really stood out. The lamb speciality dish had amazing subtle flavours and was cooked to perfection. Certainly a cut above the average 'Restaurant Formula' Bangladeshi eatery - wild boar vindaloo had both flavour and a kick not just numbing and bland
